  1. I somehow totally missed this. Was that horseshoe element that bad maintenance-wise? I enjoyed it when I rode it, can't imagine it was reprofiled due to complaints.
  2. Awesome pic!! Those drinks look gooooooood lol. What are they?
  3. I don't have any real "regrets" - any of the coasters I missed out on are technically still open. I missed riding Wonder Woman at SFFT by a week, but that was just a timing issue with my work trip. I've missed out on a couple of rides because of a walk of shame. The only two I'm a bit bummed on missing are Colossus at Thorpe Park (only time I'd have been able to experience one of those 10-inversion Intamin models) and V2 at SFDK (because of its uniqueness and the fact that it was actually operating with NO wait during my trip there).
  4. It's the same connection on not just all Star Flyers, but almost all Wave Swings, too. I'm sure a closer, detailed picture would show how it's actually very secure with more than one connection point.
  5. Not to mention that you're looking at minimum a 90-120 minute commute both ways from where you live. It's unfortunate, but it just doesn't sound reasonable. Maybe try something closer.
  6. Wow, amazes me how this place continues to thread these new rides in amongst each other. Can't wait to see a POV of this!
  7. Getting a real "Squarespace" vibe. Feels like someone at Cedar Fair got their hands on a good promo code from whatever podcast they listen to and jumped on it.
  8. Love this! Hope the eyes glow, too! So creative!
  9. It had, construction was probably more than 50% complete by the time things had to get shut down.
  10. I've been aware of Marineland and had some surface-level knowledge about it, but not enough to really understand just how spread out it is. Real talk - when that video of the new ride got posted a couple months ago and the camera came sweeping over vast, barren terrain with some dirt roads and empty paths, I swear I thought they were showing a prototype ride set up at the manufacturer's facility. I didn't read for context and had NO clue that the ride was already built on site at the park. Totally understand the comments now.
  11. ^ I suspect this may be a bit closer to the truth than we realize.
  12. I echo what @JJLehto said; Railblazer was an excellent ride. Riding in that back seat was like sitting on a bucking bull, even beyond the first drop. Excited to see how this larger layout / train turns out!
  13. Enjoyed the video! This is a park that for years, a construction update was basically ten minutes of unedited video showing someone drill a screw into some metal, if you even got an update at all. I appreciate the effort they're putting into making the updates digestible and entertaining. I like the "over the fence" construction peak nod, too, lol.
  14. I've ridden several wooden coasters that are arguably "better" than Beast, but I still attest that my first experience riding Beast (front row, at night, light rain and a thick fog) remains the best overall time I've had riding roller coasters to date.
  15. Glad to see things moving at a decent pace! Can't wait to see the finished product!
  16. Agreed, they don't really have a need to rename it. EPCOT has changed significantly from it's original purpose, but they still kept that name, right?
  17. Here's just hoping that it's more "Megalite / Expedition G-Force" quality and not so much "Hyperion" quality.
  18. Anyone else getting some serious RCT vibes from seeing just that one piece missing? Like I'm halfway looking for a way to complete the section and get the satisfaction of knowing the circuit lines up right.
  19. @KIEnthusiast, just out of curiosity, when was the last time you visited Epcot, or any Disney park for that matter? Genuine question.
  20. EPCOT is about one thing: making money for Disney. Does Guardians make money? *Glances at box office returns* Why, yes. Yes it does. Case closed.
  21. Good news - construction restarted on Jersey Devil!
  22. LOL wow, got me, too. Never knew Mexico had their own version. Apparently it's called Día de los Santos Inocentes (Day of the Holy Innocents).
  23. I mean, El Toro wins this category hands down, right? Is there anything remotely close?
  24. Depends on how far you consider a day's drive (everyone seems to have their own tolerances for time behind the wheel), but SFOG and Carowinds are certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
  25. Nice! I'm probably going to do it next week. Excited to see it!
