  1. I've been aware of Marineland and had some surface-level knowledge about it, but not enough to really understand just how spread out it is. Real talk - when that video of the new ride got posted a couple months ago and the camera came sweeping over vast, barren terrain with some dirt roads and empty paths, I swear I thought they were showing a prototype ride set up at the manufacturer's facility. I didn't read for context and had NO clue that the ride was already built on site at the park. Totally understand the comments now.
  2. ^ I suspect this may be a bit closer to the truth than we realize.
  3. I echo what @JJLehto said; Railblazer was an excellent ride. Riding in that back seat was like sitting on a bucking bull, even beyond the first drop. Excited to see how this larger layout / train turns out!
  4. Enjoyed the video! This is a park that for years, a construction update was basically ten minutes of unedited video showing someone drill a screw into some metal, if you even got an update at all. I appreciate the effort they're putting into making the updates digestible and entertaining. I like the "over the fence" construction peak nod, too, lol.
  5. I've ridden several wooden coasters that are arguably "better" than Beast, but I still attest that my first experience riding Beast (front row, at night, light rain and a thick fog) remains the best overall time I've had riding roller coasters to date.
  6. Glad to see things moving at a decent pace! Can't wait to see the finished product!
  7. Agreed, they don't really have a need to rename it. EPCOT has changed significantly from it's original purpose, but they still kept that name, right?
  8. Here's just hoping that it's more "Megalite / Expedition G-Force" quality and not so much "Hyperion" quality.
  9. Anyone else getting some serious RCT vibes from seeing just that one piece missing? Like I'm halfway looking for a way to complete the section and get the satisfaction of knowing the circuit lines up right.
  10. @KIEnthusiast, just out of curiosity, when was the last time you visited Epcot, or any Disney park for that matter? Genuine question.
  11. EPCOT is about one thing: making money for Disney. Does Guardians make money? *Glances at box office returns* Why, yes. Yes it does. Case closed.
  12. LOL wow, got me, too. Never knew Mexico had their own version. Apparently it's called Día de los Santos Inocentes (Day of the Holy Innocents).
  13. I mean, El Toro wins this category hands down, right? Is there anything remotely close?
  14. Depends on how far you consider a day's drive (everyone seems to have their own tolerances for time behind the wheel), but SFOG and Carowinds are certainly not outside the realm of possibility.
  15. Ended up getting Nintendo Online for the Switch and finished playing through the original Zelda for the NES as I never actually beat the game. Nice bit of nostalgic fun. I also finished going through the main game of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and enjoyed it immensely. It was my first time playing any of the "Dynasty Warrior" games and ended up liking the mechanics a lot more than I thought I would. The plot wasn't what I expected, though, and while I don't want to say I'm disappointed, I do wish that it was a tad "cleaner" in how everything connects to Breath of the Wild (won't go into spoilers in case anyone is still playing it or intends to start).
  16. I had to think hard and long to remember that my last one was Nitro back during Fright Fest 2019. Honestly, though, that has a lot more to do with the COVID 10 15 20 25 30 35 that I've managed to pack on rather than quarantine, though we've been pretty disciplined in that regard, as well.
  17. Oh man, that Wildcat! I almost forgot entirely about it. That was one of my first-ever coasters, too, I remember riding it when my aunt took my siblings and I one weekend. I remember on the same trip my aunt promising my younger sister (around 7-8 at the time) that she'd go on only one ride with her because she was terrified of them. My sister picked some mini Paratrooper ride they had at the time, and my aunt spent the entire ride clutching my sister tightly and practically cried in her lap until the ride stopped. Haha thanks for that, I totally forgot about that memory. Your understanding is also true, the Wildcat suffered too much damage during Sandy. Based on what I read online, it looks like Keansburg has had a much slower recovery from Sandy than other boardwalk parks in the area, maybe due to its location. Maybe one day it'll bounce back, but a lot is going to have to change in order to get there,
  18. We used to go to Keansburg when I was really little and still living in the area, and it's gone downhill horrendously since then. Rikki and I were in the area again back when we were looking at wedding venues a few years back, and I asked if she'd be okay if we'd drive by as I hadn't been there in nearly two decades. We didn't even get out of the car; we saw how run down the place was from the road and decided to just keep on driving. Sorry to hear that your experience confirmed my assumptions.
  19. There are some pics and videos going around of the Free Spin track / supports that have showed up on site. Most interest thing is the color scheme, with the supports painted to look like bamboo.
  20. That's really heartbreaking, he had so much passion for his work and truly wanted to have a positive impact at the parks he worked for. It's a big loss, and my heart goes out to those close to him. RIP Josh. *pours out refillable souvenir cup*
  21. I'm not used to Indiana Beach making reasonable, popular decisions. 2020 is truly the craziest year...
  22. No, speed limit is 3mph per their website. Still faster than Lightning Rod currently, though.
