  1. I wasn't impressed with Goldstriker when we visited last month. It has a great deal of potential and a great layout, but it was vibrating the entire length of the track. Not enough to be painful, but enough to notice and discourage re-rides. I tried once in the back and once in the front in order to rule out it being just a "back seat" issue, but I felt it strongly in the front, too.
  2. Where has this been confirmed? None of the information released from the park speaks to ridership. Mack's website doesn't even list 1-boat capacity as an available option - it speaks to the turntable station as a key feature for the model:
  3. Shipwreck Cove was incorporated into the main "New for 2019" announcements alongside Bucket Blasters as an expansion and rebranding of the water park into Hurricane Harbor:
  4. Maybe he just wanted to let everyone know that he's a big fan of insulated coffee mugs. Quick - which coaster do you all think could benefit the most from the latest, greatest, cutting-edge Thermos technology?
  5. Great Adventure has typically announced additions for Hurricane Harbor a couple months afterwards (usually January). This was true for last year's addition as well as the play structure we added in 2016.
  6. I think it's a bit of a stretch to try and compare Frontier City and White Water Bay with SFMM. I wouldn't go so far as to sympathize with SFMM fanboys out there who may be disappointed, but I'd agree it's clear that this announcement was more of an afterthought.
  7. It's fair to say, though, that one-train operations like that are by far an anomaly at this park and nowhere near the norm. It's hard to forecast what operations on Jersey Devil will be like since we've never seen a single-rail coaster of this length and with a midcourse brake, but I'm confident that operations will remain smooth.
  8. That's not just a simple "laying pavement" job. You've got significant changes in elevation and terrain challenges which would require some excavation. Look at it from the perspective of where the path would start from by Catwoman: There has to be a financial incentive for the park to create something like that and as Zand said, it would be diverting people AWAY from all the food / games / shops that you otherwise would have to walk past. No way the park is going to invest capital into something that will most likely result in a net loss for them.
  9. Is that a joke, or legit? I don't joke about things that are well-documented and easily searchable on Google.
  10. ^Most people tend to agree that TTD is better because it offers a generally smoother ride with lap bars instead of the OTS restraints of Kingda Ka. I am one of these people. That said, to each their own.
  11. I know that was a long-running theory, glad to see it come to fruition. And yes... finally. An RMC at Great Adventure!!!! I'm with you, though, Boldy - I'm worried about that bathroom back there. That thing is a treasure.
  12. Excellent photos! I had to unfortunately miss out on Toverland when we visited the Netherlands last year (it was either them or Efteling). Really looking forward to seeing how this park continues to grow!
  13. So Matt Kaiser, one of the admins of the Great Adventure Connoisseurs FB group, mentioned over on GAH that the park's PR department confirmed to him that "the bonus clue is meant to confirm it is NOT a dueling coaster". You can take that however you'd like, but I've always felt he's operated with integrity and trust him on this.
  14. ^ The best part is seeing how people are WAYYY overinterpreting it on social media or other forums. "Wait, it's only a kiddie or water ride?!? WTF??!" "So it HAS to be just Intamin, Mack, or RMC, right?"
  15. Bonus Clue #2: Final clue will be Wednesday. Guess this means it's not a dueling ride.
  16. The Tickler at Luna Park in Coney Island. Got a bunch of decent spins, too!
  17. You sound pleasant. Teasers are pointless. Six Flags cearly doesnt do them on the same level as CF, and even then CF only seems to do it for major coasters. And ultimately the teasers barely relate to the project at hand. So again... who cares if they tease or not. Again...you sound pleasant.
  18. I've got it! Mind Eraser Going Away. It's a teaser that got lost in some space / time vortex that should've been used for 2017! Case closed.
