Congratulations about Dollywood! Afterburn does have a couple big boy seats in the middle, but you're right, I don't think I've ever heard of a hyper/giga having an equivalent. That said, if you were able to fit on everything at Dollywood, you shouldn't have any issue with either Intimidator or Fury. -
The only one of these movies that I've thoroughly enjoyed so far has been Jungle Book, and that's mostly due to Bill Murray's performance as Baloo. Since then, they all just fall into this "okay, but unnecessary" category where they either adhere way too closely to the original script and it just ends up being a weak imitation. I'm hoping Lion King ends up being different.

^ Cool, thanks for the input. Part of my trepidation stems from the fact that I had my gallbladder taken out earlier this year, so I can no longer digest fats as effectively. I've found some articles on modifications for us gallbladderless folk, and that's helped reassure things. I really want to give this a shot, but my digestive issues have, uh... shown... in the last couple days of trying it out, so I'm gonna have to really take these modifications seriously. -

Is there anyone here who partakes in the keto diet? I'm looking for some feedback from people who've given it the college try. I think it might be something I'd have a lot of success with - my cravings have always been centered around savory, fattier foods like meats, cheeses, etc, and lesser towards carbs and sweets (I don't really care for pasta, and though I like sweets, I can do without). I've been dabbling with a very low-carb, high-fat diet for the last couple of days, but not completely "keto" (the leftovers I had from a few days ago, ground turkey w/ vegetables, had some carrots in it). I've been doing some research, but I'm trying to fight my tendency of getting overwhelmed with too much information and backing out from intimidation. -

I LOVED the Steeplechase when we visited Blackpool last summer. Wish there were more of them around, especially stateside! -
Kennywood (KW) Discussion Thread

I was surprised to see Kennywood was trending on Twitter this morning and was curious to find out why. Needless to say, this is the most "Pittsburgh-est" reason I could think of. -

I was actually joking about the noon thing. I thought I was being a little extreme, but apparently not! To be fair, there were maybe fewer than 15 cars in the parking lot by that point (based on photos). I think it would've been wiser to just not open outright, but the park did that the previous weekend already, and, in the interest of not doing that on consecutive weekends, may have been a bit too optimistic that the weather would clear up.

It's not that bad, nowhere near the headache of driving in Manhattan. Make sure you don't block the box (keep the intersections clear) and you're all set. The real headache is parking. Yes, there are lots generally all over, but parking in the city is in general super expensive. The safest bet for you is, if you find a parking lot with a really friendly rate, dump the car there and take public transit / car shares around. Also, forgot to mention - as a big fan of U.S. history and civics, I personally LOVE the National Constitution Center on the other end of Independence Mall. I'd highly recommend checking it out if you end up visiting Independence Hall / the Liberty Bell.

Because they were old and not cost effective, a trend you'd see across the whole industry. Besides, they practically doubled the size of its water park only a couple of years ago.
