While I haven't been on Rougarou (only Mantis), Raptor is the best B&M in the park in my opinion. However, I still LOVE GateKeeper and think it's a great, solid, smooth, fun ride, but it can't beat Raptor's intensity and layout (I do think GateKeeper gets pretty lackluster after the last barrel roll).

Euro Attractions Show 2015thrillseeker4552 replied to lond's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Thank you for all the great photos! I'm surprised no park has installed a GCI BigFun model yet. It looks like a very solid family woodie.

Ferrari World Discussion Threadthrillseeker4552 replied to Captain Jack's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! This looks fantastic! Wow! I may have missed this, but is the height of that loop released? Will it be the tallest, or will that Mack in China still hold the record?

^I believe RMC provided concept art for both headrest and non-headrest versions, giving parks the option, I would assume (probably if it launches). I'm intrigued about the 6-seat cars ala Premier/Giovanola/Maurer. You think they would be less maneuverable, but it may be deceiving. EDIT: After looking at the concept art again, it seems that all types of trains released have a headrest...my bad. It was hard to tell on the blue one.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Threadthrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Here's to hoping that Raptor gets repainted for Valravn's opening. Any word if it will?

False. (Sorry, I had to.) The person below me has ridden at least 5 different B&M Inverts.

GAME: Finding the Similaritiesthrillseeker4552 replied to thrillseeker4552's topic in Random, Random, Random Kings Dominion does not have a B&M Inverted Coaster... For the post above me, as of 2016, they both will have kick-a$$ Intamins! Knott's Berry Farm and Great Escape

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Threadthrillseeker4552 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Every looping coaster at the park has had corkscrews. Valravn is the first to go without one, that should be something positive to you. Rougarou & Raptor both start with loops, no one's ever been "disappointing" by those striking similarities. Mantis and GateKeeper both have dive loops, I've never heard anyone knock the rides because of those striking similarities. So the complaint of Valravn has the same inversions as GateKeeper (dive loop/immelmann), which has the same inversions as Maverick(corkscrews), which has the same inversions of Rougarou(corkscrews), which has the same inversions as Ratptor(loop/corkscrews), which has the same inversions Corkscrew(loop/corkscrews) is over 20 years late. So I fail to see how it took 20+ years for you to be "disappointed", are you just now noticing these things? But don't you know? How DARE two roller coasters have the same elements! Gosh, parks are so unoriginal these days!

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Saidthrillseeker4552 replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! Last night at the start of Tatsu night ERT (while they were weaving the GP out of the line). Both stations were running. Girl: "Why does it have two stations?" Her friend: "Oh, they do that so they can run two trains at once and duel during the ride."

These last couple weeks have been pretty stressful, so I am THRILLED to decompress and enjoy myself tomorrow at West Coast Bash!!!

Out-and-back, since that usually means airtime! Would you rather ride back-to-back zero-g rolls or back-to-back immelmanns?

GAME: Finding the Similaritiesthrillseeker4552 replied to thrillseeker4552's topic in Random, Random, Random I believe you're mistaking Silver Dollar City for Dollywood. As for the post above me, they both have black B&M coasters! Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Kings Dominion

Probably the guillotine...since the death is immediate and painless. Super forceful B&M Invert or solid, airtime-filled B&M Hyper?

If I had the option to pick any 5 new 2016 coasters to ride, they would be this. In order: 1. Lightning Rod. For obvious reasons. This thing looks phenomenal. 2. Wildfire. Not too far behind LR, but this one is a little more focused on inversions, while LR is pure airtime galore. 3. Joker. If this is anything like Medusa or Wicked Cyclone, it will pack quite a punch for its size. 4. That crazy Mack looper in China. It looks fantastic! 5. Valravn. I'd love to try a Dive Coaster, and this one appears to be the best in terms of specs and layout. Realistically, the only new 2016 rides I might end up riding are: 1. The New Revolution 2. Rehabbed GhostRider 3. MAYBE...Joker 4. And an even BIGGER maybe...Valravn

B&M Restraints: Old vs. Newthrillseeker4552 replied to DBru's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys! I really hope B&M puts lap bars on their looping coasters in the future. Maybe a slight re-design to the current hyper coaster bar and the addition of leg restraints (like RMC and Premier) would do the trick. Or maybe an over-the-head type bar for their Floorless/Dive/Wing Coasters. I could see it happening eventually. Not soon, but eventually.
