What do you mean? It means you are continuing to write posts that make us believe you are filled with and covered in stupid sauce. Perfect!

No.... Pretty much every park shuts down all the coasters if lightning is even close to the park. Have you laughed today?

Adventuredome Discussion Thread
ytterbiumanalyst replied to gisco's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for sharing that! Gave us a good laugh. You know, I've been on a few "no single riders" rides by myself, by asking politely and waiting patiently for a group that doesn't mind my going with them. These are my patented three easy rules for effective single riding: 1) Make sure you do not emit any objectionable odours. Showers generally nullify such odours effectively. 2) Avoid ranting if at all possible, especially rants involving weaponry and/or military personnel. 3) Just f*cking do what the operators tell you, not more and not less. -
Umbreon is ridiculous at attacking gyms. It can take down a Snorlax better than an Exeggcutor or Machamp. You can get one any time you want by naming an Eevee "Tamao." This trick only works once, though, so make sure it's the one you really want to be an Umbreon. Blissey is a beast in a gym. Like Chansey before it, it has a super high HP, and definitely outperforms its CP. Plus, since it tends to have the lowest CP of anything in a gym, it becomes somewhat of a gatekeeper, causing attackers to expend a substantial amount just to get past it. I haven't encountered these in Go yet, but in Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ursaring had a super high attack, and Go tends to follow the original in aspects like that. Teddiursas are everywhere around here, so if it's the same for you, make Ursaring a priority early (that's what I'm doing, and I'm getting close already). Also, Ampharos was an incredibly powerful Pokemon, especially with its ability to use attacks that both deal damage and paralyze. I haven't encountered a Flaafy yet, but it's an Electric type, so look for it near power plants, transformers and other such infrastructure (without trespassing--and no, that's not for you, Bill, you've got a brain). Tyranitar is a rock/fire type, and consequently defends well against just about anything (water's really all that can get to it) I haven't encountered any Lavitars in Go yet at all. And then, of course, there are the starters, which were as good in Gold/Silver/Crystal as the starters in Red/Blue/Yellow were. Water is Totodile/Crocanaw/Feraligatr, fire is Cyndaquil/Quilava/Typhlosion, and grass is Chikorita/Bayleef/Meganium. The code for shiny versions is in the master dataset, but has not yet been implemented. I doubt we'll see those anytime soon, as the latest update is huge and will drive people to play the game for the next few weeks. Once they see the number of active users decline again, they'll look to add something like shinies to bring people back to the game.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
ytterbiumanalyst replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
This is like asking if Maverick at Cedar Point is worth checking out. Like Maverick, Pinks is amazing, and well worth the time and money. Woah now. I don't think any hot dog can possibly be that good. It really is, honestly. These are the most ridiculously awesome hot dogs you will ever have (unless you go to the Pink's in Hollywood, which is the same but with about 30 more varieties--no exaggeration). -

And those are different...how? -
Yeah, yeah, we all know Canada's awesome. Around here, even the Italian imports are often re-labeled as extra virgin, because those words cause it to sell better even if they're complete fabrications. Murkah!

You should be excited! Those Diskos are one of Zamperla's best rides. The only thing better than a Disko is a Disko Coaster, because it's the same thing but also a coaster. The only reason I'm not more excited myself is that we have one at Silver Dollar City, ehich is 3x closer to me and about 100x better park. If I lived in St. Louis, though, I'd be stoked for Spinsanity.

Steel Force and Mamba are insanely similar, but Mamba is better in my opinion. The helix is more intense and the return airtime was marginally better, but still not that great. Cool, that helps set expectations. Mamba with a less intense helix sounds like it's just ok at best. I think both are the second best ride in their park after Renegade/Prowler. I like Mamba better than Wild Thing. Mamba's helix is quite intense and the best part of the ride. For both of them, the return bunny hops are not Magnum quality, but still pretty fun. They manage a bit of airtime but mainly focus on speed.

I don't know; retracking a coaster is pretty cheap too. According to decks.com's cost calculator, Thunder Road, which is 7,638 feet of track, would need 1,458 12 foot 2x6's. Now there are 8 layers of wood, so that's 11,664 2x6's. Lowe's has these for $13.77 each, so that's $160,613.28 Sources: www.decks.com/calculators/floor/ www.lowes.com/pd/Top-Choice-Common-2-in-x-6-in-x-12-ft-Actual-1-5-in-x-5-5-in-x-12-ft-Pressure-Treated-Lumber/50017294

Yeah, I was willing to let him have the last word and just move on, but he just doesn't seem to be able to leave well enough alone. Anyway, here are a few points: - It was my first time attempting to use public transit in Chicago - I just went to the closest subway station and figured it out from there - At the time I didn't own a smartphone - I chose to get up that early just in case multiple problems happened, that I would be sure to be there on time - I never claimed, nor do I think, that was the best way to get there. My point was that problems and delays can and do happen. - I actually really like and support public transit, which is why I was willing to do this so that I didn't have to rent a car at all during my trip. I was staying downtown, and everything else I wanted to do on that trip was downtown. - I am not an expert on Chicago transit. I am just a guy who a few years ago did exactly what the question asked and figured I had something to contribute. My god, why does everything have to turn into an argument? Oh, I know, it's the offseason. Anyway, for the guy who just wanted trip advice, get an Uber. Use transit around Chicago, especially the Ls are great, but take a cab to the park. You'll get there in half the time, even if everything goes right with transit.
