Game: When was the last time you...

The last time I had a new coaster to count, so right after WCB. When was the last time you played the piano? -
No, there's something to it. I've heard this elsewhere, and it has to do with Georgia being the second park. There was no chain then, just one theme park trying to build a second one in another state. At a time when there was only one Disneyland, people were skeptical that a theme park chain could even work. The agreement ensured that Georgia would be treated equally with Texas by requiring that whatever percentage of its profits Texas spent on new rides, the same percentage of Georgia's profits would be spent on its rides. By the time Six Flags over Mid America was built a few years later, the idea of the theme park chain had proven itself, and no such agreement was necessary here. Or so the story goes.

What song are you listening to?

Nope, digital lossless audio is the way to go. As for me, I went crazy and dug up Ned's Atomic Dustbin today. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be] -
No, but I will be working as hard as I can to do as much as I can to ensure it won't suck as much for as many people as it would have. Do you watch the Tonight Show?

Dollywood Discussion Thread

I think they will. A lot of people either didn't pay attention or don't remember, but Outlaw Run had a lot of problems its first year too. I don't think I went a single day in 2013 where it wasn't down at least part of the day. It wasn't the weeks at a time of Lightning Rod, but it was significant. SDC did a lot of work over the offseason and starting in 2014, it was a lot more reliable. I trust Dollywood can do the same, since I hear there has been quite a bit of work done this offseason. Still, this isn't the sort of place where one ride being down destroys your visit. I'm sure Lightning Rod will be great, but I'm not depending on it running in May. -

I'm not sure why deciding between Knoebels and SFA requires any thought whatsoever. Go to Knoebels, stay all day. Six hours in a car is doable, and Knoebels is only open 12-6 on April 30 (They're not open that Friday, so that locks you into Busch Gardens on Friday the 28th). You'd leave by 8 and get back before 10. I think you're from my neck of the woods, Arkansas right? So a drive like that shouldn't be an issue for you. -

What is your next park?
ytterbiumanalyst replied to onewheeled999's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Uhh I rather not....nothing against the park but there isnt many rides to choice from. Not to mention I heard its closed a lot of the time and didnt hear to much good things about it. Also please dont take the p*ss out of my spelling I use spell check but sometimes spell check cant even recognize my misspellings...It just happens. Next time Ill just call it gift shop items. Bill is just joshin' ya. Notice we all do that to each other. We can laugh at ourselves, and ribb each other over dumb stuff like funny spelling errors. The site disclaimer says you have to have a sense of humor so always keep that in mind. He's just having a laugh. This. Bill is only serious about one thing, and that's Knoebels. Everything else is sarcastic. Okay, two things, Knoebels and log flumes. And Skyrides. Knoebels, log flumes, and Skyrides. Three things. And beer. Amongst his weaponry are such diverse elements as.... I'll come in again. -
^ Yeah, totally. Rush was awesome especially because of the location. You could see for miles from the top of it. And yes, Ninja and Boomerang are duds, but there are seven other coasters there that range from average (Mine Train) to incredible (Batman). And yes, Batman is still a headliner for a lot of people. Except for enthusiasts, no one cares whether a ride is a clone. They just know the ride is awesome, and that's enough. The refurbishment is sorely needed, and if they really are blowing the bank account on that, they know what's up. I've heard from a lot of people--not enthusiasts, I have family and friends in St. Louis--that the park just looks run down all the time. Making it livelier, cleaner, popping with that vibe that fun is happening here--that's the stuff people want.

I will admit, only 10 weeks of offseason is pretty great. And you say we got it all, here in Canada*......pffft *Or words to that effect. You have all the things that really matter. I would gladly trade amusement parks opening later for Medicare. In a second. -
