  1. ^Yeah it kind of does. When gerstlaueringvar first posted about a world's tallest and fastest wing coaster I thought B&M but after going to their website and seeing the concept art it does smell like knock-off.
  2. ^Me too. It's certainly on my "to do" list.
  3. ^I know Raptor is my favourite invert too. The only minor complaint I have is the slight pause between the two corkscrews.
  4. ^This. I can't speak for SFMM's batman but GAdv surely fits the description. I also think this is the type of B&M that remains the smoothest. I wouldn't say raptor isn't perfectly smooth. It's just that it has some snappy transitions. I really enjoy the brutal snap into the brake run and, honestly, I wish every invert had it as when I'm riding one and getting close to the brakes I think: a raptor ending really would be the icing on the cake. (maybe I'm just insane but it's true) It's a shame banshee has such a noticeable rattle. Maybe they just need to get the new trains right but they seemed to get the older ones right on the first try.
  5. ^That ride has a lot of mixed reviews. Some love it and others hate it due to the roughness. I really like it but I do understand why someone wouldn't.
  6. True. And it was awesome! The person below me gets sick on spinning flat rides.
  7. Nice video! I liked to see the track bending on the first drop, that's always fun.
  8. ^Does it really have wider track? I know the trains are wider and, therefore, there could be clearance issues if they were to be fitted on an older invert but are you sure about the track? (just out of curiosity)
  9. ^^^Out of those I think batman la fuga is really smooth. I rode it recently (only running one train) after my last visit 7 years ago. 10 times on different places (front, back ,middle, . . .) and I never got any sort of rattle whatsoever. I rode shambhala quite a few times on its opening year and once this year (in the 7th car) and based on my rides I still consider it the smoothest coaster I've ridden. As to dragon khan, I would say closer to the back there might be "some" very very light rattling which is totally not enough to affect the experience in any way.
  10. True. These twisted airtime hills are always fun and I would like to see B&M hypers having a few.
  11. Some lift pieces. Looks like it really is going to use magnetic anti-rollbacks. Source.
  12. Nice! The lift is already looking never-ending.
  13. NOOOO!! Raptor is perfect the way it is.
  14. ^True. Naturally one or two rides won't be so smooth but it's interesting how the only (that I know of) coaster manufacturer with a thread dedicated to its roughness/"rattleness" is the one which, overall, makes the smoothest coasters. I know this is not necessarily saying that they are rough (it's just an experiment out of curiosity) but it's still a bit odd.
  15. Correcaminos bip bip At Warner Madrid. I don't have a lot of experience on family coasters (usually don't bother to ride them) but this was a fun ride.
  16. I really like KK in the front but I could see why someone would find it too intense. The wind blowing in your face + the high Gs you pull when entering the top hat make it quite extreme.
  17. ^I've only ridden Abismo in Madrid and I did notice that they got quite tight however it was only when the ride was over as it didn't bother me during the actual ride.
  18. What is it with all these awesome cable cars in China??
  19. True. It's the perfect ride for the biggest number of people. The fact that it's long and not very intense also gives riders enough confidence to raise their hands which means that by the end everyone has their arms up which is always a good sign.
  20. ^It looks somewhere in the middle so it should provide between 0 and -1Gs. Great to see something different on a dive coaster.
  21. I know, right? It really is relative. As we don't have any proper coasters here I would be thrilled if there was an SLC coming to any part of the country and I'm really exited that we're getting a giga/strata here in Europe in 2016. I'm really looking forward to this ride. ^They now have finished that support.
  22. ^That's true, indeed. But the elements and pacing on this one look awesome.
  23. Wow that's very surprising! Out of the coasters (or some) that have been mentioned, I can say that I never got any rattle on Raptor, great bear and hydra. I got some rattle on nitro (don't know which train) a year ago in the back seat on the bottom of the first drop, mantis was just rough and green lantern was sort of rough (not bad near the front). Gatekeeper had a nasty rattle closer to the back on the outside seats. Like some have already said, it depends on a variety of factors including maintenance. This September I went to parque warner Madrid and superman had some rattle closer to the back but nothing too bad (I noticed it because we pay more attention to these things than most people) except for the exit of the first corkscrew where the hole train shook a bit (especially the back). The behaviour was consistent on my 20 rides throughout the day (it was warm and they were running two trains) while batman was silky smooth. I get the impression that inverts are the coasters which seem to age the best. Take the case of SFGAdv's BTR: it was 20 years old when I rode it a year ago and it was amazingly smooth. I would say that the "least smooth" invert I've been on was talon which was still very nice, but all the others were perfect.
