  1. A few points: I prefer streaming as opposed to clogging up my hard drive. I use firefox in linux and I use the extension MediaPlayerConnectivity which fires up Mplayer. For simplicity on my end, I like Realplayer streams and some of that Flash-based stuff like Google video works really well (it ALWAYS plays, just a little sync problem).
  2. Space Mountain-dark, too dark to enjoy but not dark enough to not see the track and headchoppers. I felt uncomfortable and the ride felt dangerous, but not in a good way.
  3. Looks like Zamperela land! That Rock'n Tug is a pretty decent ride, great for kids who aren't quite ready for coasters.
  4. Almost every park has the worst lines on Saturdays and lighter lines on Sundays-except DCA, which I hear has the worst lines on Sundays...
  5. Check Homer's post, he's got a link to the clip...
  6. Believe it or not, this was my first looper at Expo '86-and it's still one of my all-time favorites. I hear it's a little rougher, but I got to ride it brand new and maybe we were a little more tolerant of stuff back then... The original orange/red and white
  7. The Saturday Night Live episode airing tonight has a Robert Smiegel short film burning Disney's straight to video releases, plus a couple of old skeletons from Walt's closet. Plus LASER CATS!
  8. I think you'll like SoCal-if you wanted to stay north and had a little more time, I'd suggest Seattle around Labor Day. If you time it right, you could hit the Puyallup, the PNE (2.5 hours), the Oaks (2.5 hours), Silverwood (6 hours) and "Enchanted" Village.
  9. My wife, who was born in Montreal, says "Quelle suprise!" "What, you are unsatisfied? Quelle domage, mon dit Anglais!"
  10. Although I would love to see DisneySea myself (I will one day) would it not be nicer, if a 5th gate would come, to have something unique? Or is a DisneySea clone something most people would like to see? 5th Gate: Past The water theme would totally work in Florida. That Indy coaster looks like a good addition, if it's anything like a Pinfari 42! It could be the fun place that DCA never quite got to...
  11. Why don't you tell him yourself? Hulk smash puny assistant!
  12. Full disclosure-I own a 2003 base model Honda Civic. We test drove the Neon/SX-the Civic is definitely better than the Neon. That being said, the Caliber is a brand-new model so you'll being getting... VERSION 1.0
  13. Did I read correctly that you haven't been to Belmont Park? You could also credit whore at Legoland-they're on the GoLosAngeles pass now. Does the Wasaga Train at WAP qualify as a credit?
  14. Or come on up to the Pacific Northwest-check out Mindbender in Edmonton, Tremors and Timber Terror at Silverwood and even the classic woodie at Playland. Or check out Tatsu...
  15. Nope, not just you! Smells like a combo of musty and moldy. All the fur looks so dusty and dirty! Sorry for hating on it Joe, but they could do *so* much better than that! -Julie If there is anything negative I could say about Pirates or Splash or Small World at Disneyland, it's that they all seemed to have that slightly musty smell. Maybe it's just a springtime thing.
  16. That picture of the Canucks uniform doesn't do justice to how it GLOWED on tv... Here's home and away
  17. It should be in the dictionary under "out and back" Timber terror from rcdb, of course
  18. You've probably seen the wooden coaster at Playland more often than you think!
  19. Playland got rid of a couple of old rides-Octopus, Tilt-a-whirl and got two new ones last year-Breakdance and Gladiator (fan boat). This year looks like they got nothing.
  20. I started looking around at theme parks and their new coasters. Then I started to see "Fence: The Ride" at your site which ended up being TATSU!
  21. I think my local park-Playland has improved a fair bit in the past few decades. When Expo '86 ended, they passed on buying more than a couple of benches and other sundry stuff. Then in 1994, when Boblo Island closed, they bought their looper (see FD3). Since then, they bought Hell's Gate (Huss Top Spin), Hellevator (S&S combo tower), Revelation (rotor), Drop Zone (swing), and Crazy Beach Party (Huss Frisbee)-plus Kettle Creek Mine (Miler kiddie coaster)
  22. Got this one from Southparkstudios.com Big gay Al's Big Gay Boatride!
  23. In hono(u)r of my wife's birthday: Here's Mary, ensconced (sp?) in velvet
  24. Raging Waters in San Dimas is "Waterloo" from "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" isn't it? Looks like they also used a waterpark in Arizona, but they were at Raging Waters as well....
