  1. I wonder what flavors of popcorn the popcorn cart will have.
  2. Maybe Premier is curious about the ride or someone at Scenic World contacted Premier Rides and they sent someone to check out Orphan Rocker and see if its salvageble. That's actually a good idea if it isn't salvageable as a coaster. Orphan Rocker lives on in a way.
  3. I rode this when it was Zonga at SF Marine World and it was awful. I'm all for saving Anton Schwarzkopf's masterpieces, but this was one of his duds, at least in its state as Zonga. If no one is willing to buy it, or its been at so many places over the years, that's usually a sign that it was bad. Just because its from an awesome manufacturer doesn't make it a great ride automatically. Intamin makes awesome coasters as well and a lot of the best in the world, but they also made Flashback. So I vote to scrap this ride once and for all.
  4. Just requested the days off work for WCB.
  5. My beer of choice tonight. May the fourth be with you!
  6. Carowinds looks like a nice regional theme park and Fury 325 put it on my radar. I'm glad certain parks are starting to embrace their regional cuisines instead of just having the same hot dogs, burgers, chicken strips, etc. I hope this trend continues. The Carolina Food Festival looks like it had some interesting and tasty choices.
  7. ^^ That tent looks like it is about to collapse. I'm excited to here the official Ferrari World/Land news on the 7th. Im still unclear whether this will be a separate gate park or just a new land of Port Aventura.
  8. Yay! Now I can request the days off work.
  9. Awesome! I don't what took so long get one of these in CA. I may have to make a day trip to Raging Waters sometime this Summer.
  10. That sucks that you were so close to going there and it was closed while you there. No internet back then to check the operating days/hours. The pictures and artist renderings of this place really intrigue me. It's looks way cooler than what Santa Monica has now. I'd take a time machine back to there too.
  11. ^ That's a good point. That's why I'd stick to reputable parks that buy from known manufacturers in China. Disney, Ocean Park, Happy Valley, etc.
  12. Can this damn thing open already??! I may head down to the Mountain on the 26th or 27th assumming Twisted Colossus opens on the 23rd like planned.
  13. This is awful to hear. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the victims. If I visit China I would probably only visit the reputable parks and even then make sure to buckle/strap myself in as quickly as possible.
  14. Pacific Ocean Park or the old Coney Island amusement parks in its heyday.
  15. Wow! Amazing photos! Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi look like amazing places to visit. I knew that Dubai had two awesome water parks, but didn't knew Yas Waterworld in Abu Dhabi was equally as awesome - which is great because I'd want to spend a lot of time in water attractions with all that heat. Ferrari World looks like it's conveniently close to Yas Waterworld (correct me if I'm wrong). I'm glad they are adding things to improve Ferrari World as it seems like a half day park. Burj Khalifa looks amazing - I'd definitely want to go to the highest possible level if I was there - go big or go home. Is the Dubai Mall next to the Burj Khalifa the mall with Ski Dubai, or is that a different mall? I'd definitely want to do Ski Dubai as well.
  16. That would draw over 20 million people to the park, probably too many. Let me fix that:
  17. Yeah, by my book (which means nothing I guess except for me) it's not a coaster. RCDB doesn't seem to consider it one At least RCDB is on my side. Don't forget about Zumanjaro - the World's tallest drop ride.
  18. Robb ended this conversation on day 1...lol El Toro would be the best option. I was about to say El Toro but someone beat me to it.
  19. If I were you I'd skip Little Amerika instead of Indiana Beach. Also driving from Albuquerque to Amarillo to OKC in one day and squeezing in two parks seems crazy - I would suggest dropping one of the parks or cities from this day. Also I am wondering why you are skipping Silver Dollar City when it doesn't seem too off route between OKC and Chicago, and why youu would do a detour for a lesser known park instead of Holiday World (unless your going back to these later).
  20. Mumford & Sons - "Believe"
  21. Even though Tempesto is a more low key ride for Busch Gardens, it still looks pretty good. I need to ride Superman at Discovery Kingdom some time this year to see what this type of ride is like. I agree that parks need more Premier rides. I love Full Throttle at SFMM and its launches, hang time loop, and top hat.
  22. Thunderbird looks awesome and by far the best wing rider yet. I especially love the twist inversion going through the barn on the left wing. That German restuarant looks awesome too and like a group meal place on a future TPR trip.
  23. The new Scandinavia area for Disney Sea looks sweet. Already giving me another reason to return to Japan in the future before I even go for the first time this June.
  24. Me too! ...unless Twisted Colossus is open by very early June, they maybe I might have to squeeze in a day trip to SFMM if I have time.
  25. Anyone that lives within 4 hours driving distance to Knoebels should visit it this season. And everyone else who is a rollercoaster or theme park fan (basically every one on TPR) should visit Knoebels at least once (hopefully more though) in their lifetime.
