Photo TR: Jeremy Rides all the RMC's
805Andrew replied to chickenbowl's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Riding all those RMCs looks like fun. The only RMC I've been on so far is Twisted Collossus, but I'll be riding the new ones at Dollywood and Kentucky Kingdom this Summer, plus Joker at Discovery Kingdom whenever that opens, so I'm excited for that. -

Wow, it climbs up that steep lift hill really fast. And the loop looks really cool, like a heart shaped loop. Flying Aces looks like it will be a great addition to Ferrari World. -

Wow! This would be a perfect location to film an episode of The Walking Dead. -
California's Great America and the Santa Cruz Boardwalk can be done in the same day, depending on the time of the year. If the Boardwalk is open to 10 or 11PM, do CGA during the day, leaving at 5 or 6PM and drive to Santa Cruz, which is less than an hour away. You'll catch a classic California sunset at the beach and the Boardwalk looks great at night.

Definetely do SFMM in SoCal, but don't go on a Fri-Sun if its May-August. You may want to drive up north on the 101 and hit up Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, California's Great America, and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom before leaving CA and heading east. Gold Striker and Superman Ultimate Flight are both great and the Joker RMC is opening up this year. Flying east definetely do Hersheypark, Knoebels, and Six Flags Great Adventure. Skyrush is nuts, Phoenix is epic at night, and Storm Runner, El Toro, and Nitro are all fantastic. If your going to DC, I would drive to Busch Gardens and Kings Dominion (I haven't been to these parks but they are high on my bucket list). Have fun!

Buy or Build your own theme park???
805Andrew replied to Jodon's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would attempt to buy Six Flags Magic Mountain if I had to spend some of the powerball winnings on a theme park. I would probably have to vastly overpay for it to get Six Flags to sell it to me. I would improve the guest experience by retraining and adding operations staff; add a transportation system around the park and up the other side of the mountain; keep the rides that work and remove rides that don't work or aren't popular anymore; add indoor rides and/or rides that can operate in rain as future installments; improve food offerings and work with local California brands and chefs to operate the restaurants in the park; and I would pay and train staff that is competetive to Universal and Disney levels. I would try to get Magic Mountain to feel more like a Busch Gardens park. It would probably be a big money loser for me. Now in reality, I would use the powerball winnings to enjoy my travels around the world for the rest of my life, and invest in small startups (or perhaps small parks) that I feel have potential to be something great. -

Just catching up on your TR, great job. Makes me want to post my Japan TR (soon enough I will). I really enjoyed Fuji Q for what it was (I know we got incredibly lucky). Three of my five favorite coasters in Japan were at Fuji Q. The launch and top hat on Dodonpa were incredible, Eejanaika was smoother and even more unpredicable than X2, and Takabisha was my first Eurofighter and was great fun. I also enjoyed the new Fuji Airways, the flats ran great programs (better than Nagashima), and their rapids ride was nuts. The mountain air, surrounding views, and cooler temperature were nice to have too. -
Stone Temple Pilots "Sour Girl" RIP Scott Weiland

What Social Media do you use the most?
805Andrew replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
1.Facebook - I check this the most and like and comment on posts. I occasionally post, usually when I'm traveling or doing something fun. 2.Instagram - I check this the second most and post lots of pictures of my travels, food and drinks I'm consuming, and when I'm doing fun things. 3.Yelp - Not for coasters or theme parks, but I check in to restaurants a lot and look up reviews for restaurants mostly. I haven't written much reviews yet. 4.You Tube - I look up videos occasionally of coasters/rides and music videos. I'll like and occasionally comment on videos. I rarely post videos. I don't use Twitter, Snap Chat, or Reddit (or MySpace anymore) but I am considering trying out Snap Chat and/or Twitter. -
IAAPA 2015 Live Coverage!
805Andrew replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Thanks for all the IAAPA coverage so far! Lots of awesome and exciting stuff coming in the next few years. I'm especially excited about the innovation coming out of RMC and S&S and for Sally's The Walking Dead shooting dark ride. I'm curious to see what parks will pick up TWD rides. -

Most Anticipated Coasters For 2016
805Andrew replied to I305forever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Most anticipated for me is the Joker locally and Lighting Rod if I make a trip to Dollywood next year. Wildfire if I had the budget to go to Europe next year, but I don't think that's happening.
