  1. Just reading this thread now. OMG, this looks like the best ride EVAH built!! Maybe I should cancel my trip to Japan and go here instead.
  2. Looks like those trains with the open air seats will bring new life to this ride. Can't wait to ride!
  3. I thought this was indoors as the concept art looks like a building, but it's outdoors? Makes no sense, unless its a building with indoor skiing with an outdoor slope on the roof for Snow Flex skiing. Still don't get how Snow Flex would work - I guess I'd have to see it to believe it? How is that slope going to work during those rain storms? That video didn't explain anything - it just showed people doing snowboarding tricks with dubstep music and no way did it look like it was over 100°F in that video. I think an indoor ski area would be better for Florida like they have in Dubai, as it can be open in all weather conditions and be a great way to escape the heat. I don't think this project will happen, I'll believe it when it opens.
  4. To me a rollercoaster's ride time is from start to finish, whether the start be a lift hill or a launch, until the final brake run. Here are my top five under 45 coasters that I've been on. Notice that 4 out of 5 of them are from Intamin. 1. Stormrunner 2. Kingda Ka 3. Xcelerator 4. Superman Escape from Krypton 5. Montezuma's Revenge
  5. AC/DC "Rock or Bust"
  6. Does sparkling water count? No soda for two weeks for me. I'm been making sparkling water with my Sodastream and been adding lemon-lime, orange, or raspberry essence to it.
  7. I'm glad this thread got bumped. I can't wait to go there this Summer.
  8. ^ I have a couple of those in my fridge. I haven't tried it yet though.
  9. To be fair, Morgan Spurlock's show is very different than say a Blackfish documentary and is a lot more lighthearted. Basically he tries doing a different job in each episode. I saw the episode awhile back where he picked fruit in Florida for a day and it was pretty interesting. I will reserve judgement until the episode airs and I see it.
  10. I don't know how much I trust Thrilllist's articles, but if it's true, they need to build something like this in Vegas.
  11. I won lift tickets to Bear Mountain (Big Bear Lake, CA) from a KROQ online contest so I going snowboarding on Super Bowl Sunday.
  12. In California: Lake Tahoe Yosemite Northern California Redwoods San Francisco Big Sur Coast Santa Barbara Disneyland In the rest of the USA: Kauai Hanauma Bay, Oahu Maui Zion/Bryce Canyon, UT Sedona/Slide Rock, AZ Knoebels NYC In Spain: (I've been there a lot) Tossa de Mar Barcelona Montserrat Sitges Port Aventura Granada Mallorca In the rest of the World: Vancouver Playa del Carmen, Mexico Rio de Janeiro Buenos Aires Paris Versailles, France Andorra Places I want to visit the most that I haven't been to yet: Japan (I get to go this Summer ) Hong Kong Australia Italy London Orlando/Tampa, FL Colorado (especially Aspen)
  13. I'm rooting for the NFC West in the Super Bowl. This year it should be a good game, and not a blowout like last year as the blowout game was in the semifinals.
  14. Matterhorn Bobsleds - Disneyland
  15. I had a 9.2% alcohol beer from Utah tonight. Yep, you read right.
  16. Great. Both on the other side of Canada. Ah well. Maybe in the future, over here. Thanks for posting what you found/got, Larry. Nothing west of Utah here in the states either. The whole Pacific Coast is deprived of Alpine coasters which is sad because we have plenty of mountains here.
  17. Here are several: Disneyland: Getting rid of the Skyway from Tommorrowland to Fantasyland and replacing it with nothing. Replacing the Peoplemover with Rocket Rods and then replacing it with nothing. Replacing the Star Jets that were high up in the center of Tomorrowland with the Astro Orbiters that are on the ground at the entrance of Tommorrowland. Basically the whole 1996 Tomorrowland redo. Knott's Berry Farm: Replacing Soap Box Derby with Windjammer. This one has some redemption though as Windjammer got replaced with Xcelerator. Removing the parachutes from the Sky Tower. Magic Mountain: Removing DeJaVu for nothing. Removing Free Fall for nothing. Removing several park transportation rides over the years. California's Great America: Removing Stealth for Boomerang Bay (which is open for less than three months of the year).
  18. A compelling reason to #BanSelfieSticks on airplanes, in schools, theme parks, stadiums, and other public venues. Even worse than a Selfie Stick, proof humanity has hit a new low.
  19. I did the survey. This!
  20. Green Lantern and Apocalyse at SFMM Autopia and Roger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin at Disneyland Mickey's Fun Wheel (swinging cars) at DCA Boomerang at Knott's The Demon at CGA
  21. If you ever get the chance, try the Madison Square Park location. On a nice day it's magical experience of eating outdoors, drinking a beer in the park, watching the dogs and random roller bladers. Then you get to have gelato at Eataly (right across the street) for dessert. Next trip to NYC hopefully. I never made it to Madison Square Park or Eataly.
  22. Bleachers - "Rollercoaster"
  23. If you want to try a beer that is strong without a hoppy taste, but with a metallic taste that tastes like someone dropped coins in your beer, then try this one: One time deal for me.
  24. I don't even know what Shoneys is. Maybe that's a good thing. Yeah, I'm hoping they're able to preserve their standards with the giant amount of expansion they're doing. The original Madison Square Park location will always be #1. I've actually been disappointed with the food a few times at the Theater District location, but in general Shake Shack produces top quality very reliably. I got to try two different Shake Shack locations on my East Coast Trip last summer: King of Prussia, PA and JFK airport. Both were good, I'm glad to see them expanding west.
