  1. Imagine how many more people would visit this arc if they added some rides, including a coaster or two, which would make it a real theme park. An Intamin Megalite alone, which would be the first in the USA, would get every coaster enthusiast to visit this place.
  2. Wildfire looks amazing and the Sky Ride Safari looks great too. Kolmarden is definitely on my list if I go to Sweden.
  3. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. Shanghai Disneyland looks like a really great park overall, especially for a park at opening day. It looks like they learned from the mistakes from Hong Kong Disneyland and came up with a more complete park at the get go. I like how Shanghai Disneyland is a reimagined Magic Kingdom with its own unique attractions and identity instead of being a cookie cutter Magic Kingdom. I was skepical of SDR before it opened and felt like waiting several years before visiting to see it expand and work out the kinks and bugs would be the best option, but after seeing all the opening day reports I am ready to go now. Sure it will get better and it will most likely be several years before I can get there, but a trip to Shanghai (and China in general) just went much higher up my bucket list. Shanghai Disneyland is now higher up my list than Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland (which it already was before opening) on Disney parks to visit first. Tron definitely looks like a night ride for me (at least for the outdoor portion) and Tomorrowland looks like a land best experienced at night. Adventure Isle and Treasure Cove looks amazing, like Tokyo DisneySea quality theming. I can't wait to see how the new Pirates of the Carribbean is. I want to see the video, but I hope it doesn't ruin the experience for me (maybe I'll watch it once late at night and hopefully forget about it by the time I get to SDR). The castle looks great and like they are finally getting some good uses out of a Disney castle besides just being a photo prop and something you walk through. The only real disappointment I see in Shanghai Disneyland is they didn't go with Tokyo version of the Pooh ride, I thought there was no going back after the Tokyo trackless ride technology. The food choices look great and adventurous and creative for the most part (I'd probably even try the duck pizza), but I'm surprised they didn't go with different flavors of popcorn like in Tokyo and Hong Kong (okay, one more disappointment with Shanghai Disneyland). I'm also surprised they went with Pepsi over Coke products as there hasn't been Pepsi products at a Disney park since the 1970s/1980s I think when they were being served in parts of Disneyland. I don't really care whether a park has Coke or Pepsi products as long as they have a good selection and prices aren't too outrageous, but Coke has been winning me over with their Freestyle machines lately. There looks like there are several pockets in the park for future expansion, I wonder if Adventure Isle will ever get some type of Indiana Jones ride or Tomorrowland will get some type of Star Wars ride (or land).
  4. OK. It may be a good break in between the rides to get some AC. Have you been on The Joker yet Jeromy?
  5. I'm hoping that the issues are fixed on The Joker and it opens for good so I can plan a day trip up there. I was thinking of going there next week but I may hold off another week if The Joker is still having issues. Also has anyone been on the new Pacific Rim attraction, and if so how is it?
  6. 1. Steel Dragon 2000 2. Fujiyama 3. California Screamin' 4. Steel Force 5. White Cyclone
  7. Once you get past the smoking, line jumping, and selfie sticks, it looks like fun. I'm sure it will get better as you go north, or at least I hope.
  8. Guns N Roses in San Diego on August 22.
  9. Hey, now. I would totally go to a Garfield theme park. Garfield is awesome!

    Osaka Japan

Space Fantasy alone is worth visiting USJ, plus Hollywood Dream Backdrop (backwards) is really fun, and USJ has the only Jaws ride left. Also, the new Jurassic Park The Flying Dinosaur looks really cool. I'd go back to USJ in a heartbeat if I were in Osaka.
  11. That would actually be a great idea for a Six Flags "greatest hits" park. It could have a RMC Goliath, Kingda Ka, Superman Ultimate Flight, Iron Rattler, and an X2 to represent the different flags. Maybe throw in an El Toro and Tatsu for good measure to represent the coaster heavest flags.
  12. I have passes to both Six Flags and Universal, so it could be either one. It might be Discovery Kingdom after the Joker opens up.
  13. Great TR on your opening weekend at Cedar Point. I can't wait for my pilgrimage to the coaster Mecca at the very end of July.
  14. Wow, that's awful. That was saddening to watch. It looked like the knockoff Disko tipped over.
  15. Same here. I would probably have to do two separate trips to Orlando, one for WDW and one for everything else: Universal, Busch Gardens, etc.
  16. Really nice pictures of Silver Dollar City. Amazing scenery surrounding the park.
  17. As long as it opens by late July, I'm good. I can't imagine a wooden coaster going 90 MPH.
  18. All that food in Disney Springs looks really great.
  19. It looks great. I'm not sure if it will be better than Twisted Collossus, but we shall see. I can't wait to ride this when it opens.
  20. I think this sums it up perfectly.
  21. For Intamin/B&M its Flashback hands down. I believe Flashback was built before B&M separated from Intamin to form their own company so it could count for both. Flashback was technically built by Intamin but had the B&M looking track with the four across each row like most B&M rides. For GCI, my least favorite one I've ridden is Wildcat at Hersheypark.
  22. The random plotting of rides through out the park without any theming really reminds me of Mitsui Greenland. Makes me wonder if each ride will be operated by a separate vendor. I also wonder what the dinosaur themed attraction will be. No matter how this park turns out, there definitely won't be a shortage of things to ride when this thing opens.
  23. This looks like it will be a really nice park when it opens, assuming everything goes as planned. I've always wanted to go to Turkey to see Istanbul, and if this is open when I finally visit then I may need to add one more thing to see.
  24. I don't how they got Dreamworks, Loinsgate, and Sony Pictures Studios to come together all in one place, but it looks awesome - three studios parks for the price of one. Hunger Games, Zombieland, and Ghostbusters attractions sound awesome, and I'm curious to see how a How To Train Your Dragon area turns out. Motiongate looks like it will give Universal a run for the money for the studio park concept when this opens, and will put Dubai firmly on the theme park map if it wasn't already.
