  1. Wooden Warrior & what's the other that I'm missing? Roar-O-Saurus at Story Land all the way up in Glen, New Hampshire. Sadly, I never go to that part of the state anymore. But I bet 8-year-old me, who went to that park often, would have loved the hell out of that ride.
  2. The shoddiness of it almost adds to its charm, honestly. And it perfectly sums up the roller coaster ride that has been 2016, especially getting slammed in the face with a support beam.
  3. I went to the Fun Spot in Kissimmee on one of my previous Florida trips, back when it only had the wild mouse. It's about time for them to get a nice wooden coaster to compliment it.
  4. My most ridden coaster by far is Untamed at the cool place. I've been on it five of the six years it's been open, for a total of about 25 laps. I don't ride flat rides too often, so I have not much to say about that.
  5. I'm not sure how much this counts, but I rode the Roller-Soaker at Hersheypark a few years before it closed. That was in 2009, a.k.a. my only visit to the park to date. Also, I rode one side of Gwazi at BGT right before the park closed on that night, back in 2010. 'twas my only visit to that park.
  6. I don't know... do you think RuPaul would ever sponsor a ride?
  7. Six Flags Astroworld, mostly for its eclectic collection of rides. I would have loved to experience the Ultra Twister or the Intamin stand-up coaster.
  8. Well, Johnny Test lasted for a lot longer than 2 seasons, but at least it got us a good-looking coaster.
  9. So after having looked at the layout, it basically is Diet Untamed. However, I do see some promise with that small bump up at the end of the ride. You'd trade out the positive forces of the helix for a little bit of airtime. Also, if it's got trains with lap bars, that would another notable bump up.
  10. Well I have no idea what the Vekoma coaster would have been, but this looks great! Many points to the gigantic-hill-with-a-Stengel-dive-like. Looking forward to... whenever I can ride it.
  11. Kewl. So it's gonna have the standard dive drop, zero-g roll, vertical loop, and... something something straight track? I would hope for there to be an obscured airtime hill. And that turn immediately after looks cool, as if it were two overbanked half-turns with a funky transition in-between.
  12. My first was Trailblazer at Hersheypark back in 2009. My first inverting Arrow was the Canobie Corkscrew at my home park not too long after.
  13. So, from the sounds of it, this ride might be a gimped version of Untamed? I'm not sure why they would go with something already available on the east coast, but I suppose it's better than nothing.
  14. Well, I could probably ignore him based on the profile quote. As for this new coaster design, it looks nice. The helix transition straight into a barrel roll looks like something pulled from an RMC design. And I love how the corkscrew's apex threads the vertical loop.
  15. Well, this looks like a crazy thing. The low height requirement makes me think it'd be a prime candidate for Canobie Lake Park's next new ride. Hell, they could put it in the Canobie Corkscrew's spot and still have a good amount of space left over for other rides. Though, I'd like to see that particular ride replaced by an actual credit...
  16. This is somewhat of an oxymoron, but I like when a coaster is quiet enough to hear the sound of the car/train WHOOOOOOSHing through the air. Untamed does that when it goes down the drop. You hear the whoosh, and then it oscillates as the car goes up and through the loop. It's rather serene... well, when it isn't being marred by all the screaming. And then there's the way it just slowly stops when the magnetic brake are applied. "WHOOOOOOooooooshhhhhh-urp". So good. IMO, silent beauty can sometimes trump theatrics. Though I don't mind the sound of a freshly-greased chain now and then.
  17. You know, they're really juicing this one up with accurate details. I love the Comcast sign on the top of the building, just in case you thought you could escape your overbearing corporate overlords.
  18. Untamed at Canobie Lake Park two weeks ago. One of two rides on the day. I really don't enjoy Screemfest that much, so I doubt I'll be back at the same time next year. But at least I got some really good rides on on my baby.
  19. Well... somewhere. Canobie Lake Park is always in the cards, but I really want our family to coordinate a vacation to somewhere on the eastern seaboard south of NYC. Probably either Dorney Park in Pennsylvania, or Hersheypark, since we've gone there before, but I didn't get a chance to ride a lot of what they had.
  20. I really like this idea. It would be especially intriguing for coasters whose manufacturers have gone by the wayside. Just look at Manhattan Express: Premier Rides has already built new trains and installed a magnetic braking system for that ride, but what if they were to channel the ghost of Togo and turn it from a piece of flaming shit into something palatable? Hell, you could go even further and demand them to bring back the good 'ole Ultra Twister. I would love to see companies get in touch with the past and completely revive classic coasters, if that is actually possible from a legal standpoint... but that's neither here nor there.
  21. My oldest credit happens to be at my home park. Suffice it to say... Yankee Cannonball.
  22. Holy schnikes... what an amazing series of TRs. The one for Walibi probably impressed me the most. Lost Gravity looks amazing, with its ability to combine great airtime elements with inversions, and I like the little SkyRush-esque thing they have goin' on with those trains. Alas, these are great parks that I'll probably never be able to visit, at least for a long time. But hey, it definitely beats shouting into the aether like a bunch of buffoons.
  23. Indeed. That ride was insanely fast-paced, generally out of control, and a whole lot of fun. However, I did roll my eyes upon hearing Dad's claims that the ride was "rickety", because it consists of wood track built on a 100% steel frame.
  24. This is pretty tame, but I'm a little ashamed to say that, on our most recent vacation, I pestered my dad to take a few hours out of a stay in Orlando to go to Fun Spot, even though we were going to stay with friends at a Disney resort for a few hours. At least he really liked White Lightning.
