  1. I've been seeing ads for Phobia on my local TV stations. Of course, I live a little too far away from the park for that to matter. Of course, I also see ads for fast food restaurants that don't exist in New England, so what do I know? Connecticut exists in the purgatory of "a little too far to drive to, but we wouldn't fly there", so I probably won't get a chance to visit this park any time soon... but I really want to.
  2. I think I might have a winner for this thread... or the runner-up, if the story about Maverick is true. http://rcdb.com/12766.htm The park was only open for one day, and it might not open again in the distant future. Sadly (or not?), there was no possible way for me to be there.
  3. I can't see this park existing without a BDSM-themed roller coaster where you're physically bound (to the seats) and gagged during the ride.
  4. The last roller coaster I rode was... well... unfortunately, it's pretty hard to get an actual picture of the track.
  5. The Roller Soaker at Hersheypark and one half of Gwazi (the world may never know which) at BGT are all I have. Same as what you've seen before. I wish I could have gotten Cyclone at SFNE before the overhaul. For that matter, I still need to go back there. If the Canobie Corkscrew ends up biting it for another attraction/coaster, that will be another one. But I hope not.
  6. Bizarro from SFNE is the only one I consider worth mentioning. *sniff*... I need to go on more Hypers
  7. Aaaaaaand another Superman. Of course, I'm not complaining, since New England tends to be a little starved for good thrill rides. I wouldn't expect Lake Compounce to put in something like this, either. And a clone is somewhat fitting, since they already have a Boomerang.
  8. Now I wish my family could have gone to King's Dominion earlier, if only to just get the credit. Oh, and I know this was quite a few pages back, but...
  9. Holy crapolza, thanks for rekindling my hype in this, Robb. I'm quite amazed at how fast the ride manages to feel without being so big, likely thanks in part to the tight turns. I'll always be sad that I never rode the original Riverside Cyclone, but I'll be stoked whenever I can ride this.
  10. I have zero idea of when the freaking Weather Channel's website turned into 99% non-weather clickbait content, but I can assume that this was awful as usual.
  11. Maybe if they were to do a compact RMC model, and then offer it up to all the parks in the chain, that would be pretty cool. Though guess you could argue that they would be better off doing a remodel on their own woodies, the ones that don't have them could go with a clone.
  12. Every coaster in the U.S. that features a beyond vertical drop is located in the eastern time zone, except for one (SpongeBob Squarepants: Rock Bottom Plunge). There are none in the western time zone. EDIT: Excluding non-Eurofighters, but there is Cannibal.
  13. Twisted Colossus is looking awesome, and Scream's new paint job looks pretty nice. It's too bad that they're not re-doing the parking lot it's placed on top of, but at least it looks infinitely more appealing.
  14. Oh god, I didn't even know about the "First Sitter" thing. That sounds both hilarious and a little desperate. I bet the new trains will feel great on the ride come this spring/summer.
  15. My advocated hype level correlates to the any coaster that I can actually ride in 2015. Therefore, Wicked Cyclone it is. Though I am curious to see how a number of other projects turn out, including the other RMC: Twisted Colussus.
  16. That even surpasses regular GP... This isn't your average, everyday GP. This is... advanced GP.
  17. At the end of the crazy chinese Arrow looper: That whole video in general was a bona-fide TPR classic.
  18. And then we get these people One streak, two streak, Mean Streak, Blue Streak!
  19. I wish I had known about SFNE Cyclone's RMC refurbishment. I skipped it the one time I went to the park last year over not having enough time, and fears that it might have been too rough. Wicked Cylcone is gonna be awesome, but I wish I could have gotten a ride on the original.
  20. Now we just need to find out how to detach them from the track.
  21. Here's an idea that I've envied for quite a while: a spinning coaster that has multiple major inversions... and by multiple, I don't mean Veil of Dark at Tokyo Joyopolis, which does invert, but it's only a measly inline twist. I mean fully inverting, while still primarily a spinning coaster. Why hasn't Gerstlauer done that? Given their pedigree for crazy rides, I'd imagine that be right up their alley. Just imagine how crazy it would be to go upside down while you can't even control your direction. I can try and replicate that feeling by changing the type of coasters in NoLimits to the model, but I wanna do it in real life.
  22. Indimidator 232, Fury 325. I like it. I do think it's somewhat awkward to have the coaster's height in the name. Intimidator 305 had that to distinguish it from the other coaster, but why this one? I guess it helps attract the GP by stating how tall it is. The layout looks very cool, a noticeable step up from Leviathan, and I have a feeling Carowinds could have a winner on their hands with this beauty. It looks amazing, but does that mean it will ride as well?
  23. Aww man, that POV is hands down one of my favorites from TPR. Sex Drug will live on forever! As for the rest of the chinese goodies, it's hard to get any more WTF than that air-launched Loop-Screw knockoff. I shudder to imagine how insane it would be if my Corkscrew clone at Canobie Lake Park ran like that... it's already rough as is.
