  1. Oh them wonderful Chinese Malls... quite a few of them seem to get full-fledged coasters, and some of them are really good! I've head pretty good things about Vekoma Motorbike coasters, even though they can seem to have a pretty low capacity. The look like some of the better Vekoma rides. Hopefully, I'll someday get the chance to ride one of these.
  2. Mach Tower's car looks very nice! I was originally puzzled at why they chose a company from Italy i've never even heard of before, but that's actually looking bery cool! Too bad KD has a drop tower 70 feet taller not that far away... Hopefully, the "Suprises" at the top of the tower still make the ride pretty worthwhile. It might have something to do with the apparant "hinges" on the seats... maybe?
  3. Alas, I haven't ridden any boomerangs just yet. I'm probably gonna bag my first one later this year, however, and I expect it to be Flashback @ SFNE.
  4. I know, right? There's just so much to try and keep track of. I need a more straight forward clue, I'm too lazy for all this researching and emailing. Yeah, me too. I mostly analyze all of the stuff that's already there, like the test studies. No cryptic puzzle-solving for me. Only one more study left in the catalog to be released! Hopefully, by then, something big might happen, even though we might not have all of the info we could possibly want on the new coaster. Can't wait until the day of announcement, either!
  5. Damn! This one creepy project, to say the least, even moreso that this type of coaster can actually be built! Probably by PAX, if I had to take a guess on who would build it. Personally, I'd much rather die from an actual roller coaster accident than a roller coaster that was specifically designed to kill people. I definitely wouldn't go on an actual death machine like that! Even if it was a one-time only special credit, I know I'm safe when the manufacturers say it's not mean't to heart people.
  6. Well... yeah. I remember hearing from somewhere that compact (I.E, Premade Layout) Eurofighters can be put up in as little as 3 days. Even the bigger ones, like Dare Devil Dive, can be put up in just a couple of weeks if the park knows what it's doing. Anyway, always exciting when a park puts the final piece of track on a new roller coaster! Hopefully it won't take that long for the park to start testing this bad boy. I can hardly wait...
  7. Probably the most comfortable trains I've ever been in are the ones on the old Schwartzy Loopers, like Scorpion at BGA. The train has since been painted, but it's always had a nice, stripy theme to it.
  8. Thanks for the piccys, HPCrazy! Especially the two pics for Sidewinder! I had this weird feeling in my gut that Sidewinder was going to get the new trains for its 20th year of operation. Turns out, I was actually right! I also like the Kissing Tower pics you've taken, especially the one of Comet Hollow. I can't even imagine how much more cluttered that area will be once work on Project 2012 starts up...
  9. Neat stuff. If Ccron10's layout does end up being the actual ride layout, it would very well be a very fun ride. The one part of the layout that especially interests me is the banked turn on the trip back to the station. I'm about 75% sure that it could end up as a Stengel Dive. Not to mention, ridewise, it could make for an awesome headchopper with Comet's route back to the station. Another part of the research I've latched onto is the section in the most recent study. "'isolated gravity fatigue' occurring briefly within high-speed frictionless vacuums" could be a tip-off to Intimidator 305's "twisties" with reports of abrupt airtime all throught the train, and the coaster very well looks like it could have a high-speed turn immediately after the drop. Not to mention, the two Overbanked Turns shown in Ccron10's layout... Anyway, I've been following this "Game" being put on by Hershey for a long time. I've only been there once, but it was an excellent experience, although I really didn't get to ride all of the big-name coasters. I'm looking forward to what happens next and I can't wait to go back to Hershey when the coaster's done!
  10. Okay... out of curiosity, did you make a double-post here on purpose to express your feelings? It would be a lot better to just edit your first post. Anyway, here's what I think of these brand-new trains: It should look even better when all the theming is put on the train, and hopefully, it will produce some excellent airtime along with the inversions. Hopefully the ride runs well. Along with Untamed, america should have 2 excellent Eurofights for guests to coo and go crazy over!
  11. Grona Lund = One of the most insane theme parks I will never get to visit. Unfortunately, my parents won't let me do TPR trips. Twister looks awesome though! I especially love the headchopper possibilities, especially the two headchoppers involving Jetline. The Kvasten headchopper looks scary, too. Could you actually touch someone's foot if you reached up high enough? Lastly, Robb? Have you ever considered putting a Twister Twins T-Shirt in the TPR Store? It's honestly suprising you don't even have a "Twisty Goodness" T-Shirt in there...
  12. Looks like they're doing a good job with the construction so far. I went over to Salem to check on the progress today. It looked like the Helice at the end of the ride was finished, to go along with the Lift Hill. I did end up taking some pictures (Right next to the chain-link fence, not inside the park!), but I'm not really interested in posting them, because there was already a full video posted earlier in the thread, not to mention all the photos on Canobie's Facebook page.
  13. Damn, that looks like a really fun ride. The inverted point over the park's entrance is sure a crazy work of art! Considering the ride's maufacturer is located in Russia, and they really don't have any rides located in the U.S, I don't think any major theme parks here would go for it like they would another shuttle ride. Not to mention, how much of the GP would even think about going on this coaster? I'd bet they'd think it would fall apart while they would be riding it.
  14. Sounds like a weird idea, but I'm not one to object to it. It sure does sound like it might have some nice theming, and hopefully at least one coaster I will enjoy riding...
  15. Screw the rotating seats, I want one of these in America right now! This is looking like an awesome coaster, with some amazing looking themeing! Why can't America's coasters be themed this well? Not to mention, I love Hanno's amazing photography! It feels as if I'm really there, just by looking at still pictures. (I first saw Hanno's amazing photo skills during the Mid-America trip last year, those were great!)
  16. That's just horrible! As always, my deepest condolences go out ot those related to the kid involved. This is indeed a tragic accident for anyone involved. Although, judging by what little info is available, it was probably a freak accident and nothing more than an error of the ride systems.
  17. Am I actually the only one on this forum who would actually like to ride that coaster? Think about it, spinning all around during the loops... All things aside, if it's going to be a B&M, than I can't see it being anything other than the 4D Coaster with the spinning seats. If it does take B&M 2 years to process the data from Raptor on how to add the spinning seats, then it could make for some perfect timing to unleash the "First of it's kind" ride in the world. Unfortunately, this could cause problems because of Thorpe's upcoming 2012 B&M "No Spin" 4D. Take that of what you will...
  18. Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa had a really good tunnel right after the near-blackout helix. Got to love those forceful B&Ms! SooperDooperLooper at Hershey also had a nice tunnel, with some plentiful Airtime before and after it.
  19. Lucky! We're a bit late to the punch of coaster-starting seasons. Not until Memorial Day. Anyways, my last coaster was Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Lake Park, back in late-August. I only got to ride it once, but that particular one happened to be a night ride! More airtime for me!
  20. "The New Revolution" I LOLed at the quote. Might removal of the unessecary OTSRs count as restoring the ride? I mean, feel free to tell me if I'm wrong about all this and it was "Grandfathered", but doesn't Montezooma's Revenge get away with it, having a lap-bar and seatbelt combination? So what if it takes away some airtime, would that do much bad?
  21. And I was totally wrong on the definiton of the word "Drop"! I thought it... had to do with something about going down.
  22. Done! Glad I can help these crazy Nittany Lions with their survey. I'm really looking forward to the outcome!
  23. TOP STEEL: Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa. The only invert I have ridden, and undoubtably the best! WOOD: Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Lake Park. Old, yet smooth enough that you can ride it all day. Plus, it has some great floater air!
  24. I know this has been said already, and it's probably going to be said many more... Big Bad Wolf. Or, for the matter, every torn-down Arrow Suspended ever. Even the crappy ones!
  25. Consider me (mildly) entertained. I found that announcement video so funny! Especially the part at the very end, where they blacked out the logo for the [thing].
