^See, I would think that if very few people use it they'd be more likely to keep it as an option because they aren't losing any profits from it and it's appealing to have that option there. People are inlove with getting more for less and having more options, even if they have no desire to use them. The point is they could if they wanted to. Anecdote! - Someone I know [*cough*notme*cough*] has a 'gym hopper' thing on their gym membership, they've never used it, but they like that they can if they want to. Maybe I'm completely off and nobody really cares, but it just seems like it would hurt sales to say "you can no longer do this, but we're going to charge you more". It just doesn't make sense to take it away. I would say that they should at least offer the Max Pass option, but I'm guessing sales for that would be almost non-existant.

^ Good to know, thanks We probably wont get there until 6 or 7 on Sunday, so hopefully we'll get a few rides in on rides that typically have long lines while crowds are lighter. I'm hoping with school starting [i really didn't think it started until September 6th since that's when we start in Ontario] that crowds will be very light on Monday. I'm sure that'll mean one train operations on pretty much everything, but judging by many La Ronde TRs I've seen, that's not just a 'light day' thing.

I went to the sneak preview on August 18th and was really surprised with the poor turnout. There were maybe 20 people in the theatre besides my boyfriend and myself. Since it has been so hyped up for so long I was expecting a completely full theatre and maybe some rubber snakes thrown around at opportune moments to scare the crap out of people.

I know who they are, but I don't like them at all. They take some of their lyrics from Chuck Palahniuk novels, but claim to have only written one song based on one of his novels. That seems a little weird since there are direct quotes from his novels in some of their other songs. Everyone has different taste in music though, I'm not putting anyone down for liking them, they just don't appeal to me.

Credit Cards - Word of advice for you younger posters
shesaidboom replied to bgwfreak's topic in Random, Random, Random
I've had a credit card for five years and have always refused to spend more than I have. The card has come in very handy, especially since I hate carrying a lot of cash around, and it's good to have on trips in case of emergencies..that's actually why I got it in the first place. As long as you pay attention to what you're spending and are careful about it, credit cards can be a good thing to have. I have a debit card, but I rarely use it since the fees on it are so high. The credit card works out to be much cheaper for me. -
I don't understand why the use of turn signals is such a hard concept to grasp. They're there for a reason, a very good reason, yet I have seen maybe six or seven people use them in the past week. Why is pushing a little lever thingy up and down so hard to do? Also, TURN OFF YOUR HIGH BEAMS unless you really need them..like on a deserted highway in the middle of the night. I'm pretty sure you don't need to use them while driving on busy city streets. My eyes thank you.

Awesome TR as always. I'm jealous that both Deja Vu and the red side of American Eagle were running while you were at SFGam. I must've picked a bad time to go since it seems that every SFGam TR posted recently has Deja Vu running -
I hate graduated licensing. Clearly it doesn't work since there are still tons of horrible drivers everywhere, so why should I have to get all nervous about doing another road test?

I had to rush my cat to the animal hospital last night. Long story short, she was choking, and even though I got most of what she was choking on out she was still having trouble breathing. The animal hospital keeps the door locked in the middle of the night since they mostly stay with the animals. When I got there people were standing at the front desk. I knocked on the door and motioned for them to open it, but they just stood there. Obviously I was there for a vet, I had a sick cat in my arms [i could understand them waiting if I was on my own], but no, they just stood there like idiots while I wasted time standing outside and waiting for someone to come open the door. How hard is it to walk a few feet and open a door? Especially when it could be an emergency.

We have leash laws, yet people seem to think they don't apply to their dogs. I don't appreciate being chased down the street by random dogs while I'm going for a run. I was chased by three different dogs tonight. THREE! One of these dogs lives down the street from me and is never on a leash. Eight months ago the same dog bit my leg [thankfully I had thick knee socks on under my pants and it didn't bite very hard]. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs, but they need to be kept on a leash when they're not fenced in, in their home, at a dog park, or somewhere where there are no leash laws. I don't care if your dog is little or friendly or "just wants to play", KEEP IT ON A LEASH. Oh, and your dog chasing me down the street isn't funny or cute, stop laughing.

Distance?

I drove from Toronto to Florida last August. We stopped at a bunch of parks on the way there, but had two days of just driving on the way back. Was completely worth it. The longest I've driven in one day was 12 hours, although driving from Toronto to SFGam in June was a close second with 11.5 hours. -

I was planning to visit Marineland at some point this year, but your TR makes me not want to. Very pricey + too much walking for pretty much nothing. Last time I was in their deer park I got swarmed and the deer tried to eat my clothes, not so much fun for a little kid. Looks like you still managed to have a good time though. -
I personally wouldn't get it for three reasons. 1) If you call 911 they can't trace your call like they can with a regular land line. 2) If your internet goes down you have no phone service. 3) If your power goes out you have no phone service.

I'm majoring in Kinesiology at York University in Toronto. I decided on York because it has a good Kin program, it's close to home and easy to get to, I get transfer credits which take a year off the length of my program, and I can eat with a fork. If you can eat with a fork you can go to York!..or at least that's what they say.

That spinny owl ride looks crazy. And weird. I would like to ride it. Too bad I wont be travelling overseas any time soon I will be looking forward to more updates from your trip. -
2.5 hours for Top Gun at PCW on the first night it opened. Nobody would ride with me so I had to wait by myself, I think I was 10 or 11 at the time. I don't remember how long the wait was, but Big Thunder Mountain at Disney Land Paris. Holy line jumpers. Plus the ride broke down when we were almost to the front and my dad kept complaining about having to wait so long. 2+ hours for Raven at Holiday World. Legend was down [the Voyage had also been down when the park opened] so the line for Raven was very long. There was one ride left infront of us and the ride broke down.
