  1. Just because you may not gain weight eating fast food three times a day does not mean you will remain healthy. I'm not referring to you here because since I don't know you I have no idea what you think on this subject, but I hate when people assume that just because someone is of an average weight that they are healthy. I know tons of people who aren't over weight in the slightest but they are very unhealthy. I have a friend who eats junk food all day and never exercises and she's still very thin, she's an ectomorph so that's just the type of body she has. I agree with everyone who said that eating fast food on occassion isn't unhealthy. I'd say a few times a week is pushing it, but you can still remain healthy doing that. But, eating it three times a day is not healthy, regardless of how much you weigh and how much you exercise. You're just not giving your body the nutrients it needs to function to the best of its ability and you're taking in way too much fat, cholesterol and sodium for your body to handle. Yes, exercise is extremely important, and if his lesson was 'if you exercise you can eat fast food three times a day and wont necessarily gain weight' I wouldn't be commenting, but telling them it's healthy is just giving them false information. Weight isn't the only factor in health.
  2. Speaking of which.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMESO%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300050305788&rd=1&rd=1 I don't know if I can feel bad for the buyer or not. You have to be a little off if you don't know the difference between '3 Sony Playstations' and 'Playstation 3'.
  3. Stitches are annoying, I would like them to come out of my face now please
  4. The good cranberries will bounce because they are hard and are filled with tiny pockets of air.
  5. Enough with the swans, they need to make your towels into monkeys!
  6. Ew to boats, YAY for zip lines!! I hope you guys have an awesome time on your cruise.
  7. Rachel Marlee Samara Emily Natalie I hate the name, but Jessica keeps coming to mind for some reason. Whatever you do (although really I guess you can do whatever you want ), don't name her Aidan or anything that rhymes with Aidan. It's the trendy thing to do right now. I can't tell you how people I've met with babies named Aidan (both boys and girls) this year.
  8. I've been waiting for this TR since you told me about your trip Next time I'm coming too!!
  9. I can't feel my face.
  10. ^Okay, so there are three! I forgot about the one in Etobicoke. The other I was thinking of is the one highway 7.
  11. Yep Both of them only 20 minutes from me!
  12. That's why there weren't like 10 more parks on my list. For me Holiday World was the worst because it had been built up so much and all I heard were amazing things about the place. I also had really high expectations for Legend, since everyone kept saying it was so great, but I thought it was pretty bad. Since that visit, I try to have low expectations of parks even if they've been built up a lot so that instead of being disappointed, I'm pleasantly surprised
  13. I love putting together crap from Ikea! Everyone I know gets incredibly frustrated trying to do it, but apparently I'm weird or something..probably also really lame for actually enjoying putting furniture together. Everyone now makes me do it for them. It would be even more fun if you got to use power tools!
  14. Lake Compounce - It never opened! It was apparently closed due to the rain, but it didn't rain so I don't know what that was all about. We also had to wait until the weekend for it to open, but were done with SFNE by Thursday. Way to waste three days of my life for NOTHING Lake Compounce! La Ronde - Crappy rides, poor operations, dirty, rude people, too many bees, no love for Nunavut. It was probably the worst day I've ever had at a park. I had low expectations to begin with, but it was still worse than I had expected. Holiday World - sucked for the first half of the day. All of the coasters were closed and there were one train operations when the park was insanely packed. It did redeem itself after the first four hours we spent there though, and the staff were awesome, so it probably shouldn't really be on this list.
  15. So I've heard that the thrill some people get out of coasters makes them a little...happy, if you catch my drift. That might get a little messy.
  16. I hate when people knowingly put their pets in danger because they want to save some money. Someone on a forum I'm a member of bought her chinchilla a plastic wheel [like a hamster wheel, but huge] even though she knows that plastic is dangerous for chinchillas [yeah pet stores market plastic products to chinchilla owners, but they're very very unsafe since chinchillas chew everything and plastic causes intestinal blockages. Anyone who's done some research outside of asking a petsmart employee knows this..but that's a whole other rant]. Instead of thinking of her chinchilla's safety, she opted to save the money instead. The best part is instead of spending $50 up front on a safe wheel that will last forever, she spent $20 on a wheel that will break in a few months and she'll have to replace. Her chinchilla would be better of with no wheel at all, especially since it's not something a chinchilla NEEDS, it's just a nice thing to have if you have room in their cage.
  17. ^ When did you visit? I went at the end of May, so the beginning of the season. Maybe they made changes later on, for the summer months, or maybe you just visited on a really good day
  18. Yeti ball is awesome. I want one, even though it wouldn't be as cool since it hasn't been to the UK. This TR is amusing, keep it up!
  19. Wow, that park looks gorgeous. I'm hopefully visiting next summer, but I want to go for Christmas! Thanks for sharing your pictures
  20. This year was the first year I went to a Six Flags park, so I really don't have any previous experience to compare it to, but I have some comments anyway. I found the operations at Darien Lake and La Ronde to be HORRIBLE. I know these are both pretty neglected parks, but it wouldn't hurt to throw an extra train on when a line is 2 hours long. I was very disappointed to see Superman at Darien Lake running only one train all day when there was a two hour line. I didn't see a character at either of these parks either. That said, I did really enjoy my trips to SFGam and SFNE and I thought the parks were run well. The lines were long since there were tons of people there, but the operations were still pretty quick for the most part and there were multiple trains on everything. Very few rides were closed. Even the Great Escape had characters around when there were maybe 10 people in the park due to the rain. Their staff was still pleasant and were quick with their operations, and informed us with the goings on in the park [they gave us a warning that they were closing the park soon so we could get our last rides in, they didn't just say 'leave please']. So if it wasn't like this last year, good for them for changing things. If it was, then good for them for keeping it up. I think what Jahan said about SFMM rings true in many cases, unfortunately. Changes were made, things were better, but the changes didn't stick. Hopefully we will see more changes made next year.
  21. My wisdom tooth hurts. I'm going to have to get them pulled, but I wont have time before exams. That's over a month away.
