  1. I just saw two TV ads for it. They really, really like that word!
  2. I know you're speaking generally here, but I will answer for me since I'm assuming you're including me in that group of whiny cry babies and you quoted me in your response.. Ummm...where did I act like I've ridden it? I never said the ride would suck with these new trains, I just personally don't like them. I like the four across B&M trains and was excited that Wonderland would be getting those (before I realized they weren't, obviously). I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to share my opinion on a message board that seems to exist so that people can share their opinions. Sry.
  3. I think it is possible for people to be happy and "complain"/criticize the ride at the same time. I think it's awesome that Wonderland is getting this coaster, and I'm sure it'll be fun, but I still don't like the name or the trains and if I want to talk about it in a thread dedicated to the coaster I don't see why I shouldn't. What is with so many people wanting everyone to be all happy happy joy joy over everything? I might've missed some posts, but I don't remember seeing any "OMG YOU GUYS THIS RIDE SUCKS SO HARD, WHY ARE THEY EVEN GETTING IT?!?!?" If people want to discuss the negative aspects they see in this ride, along with the positives, why is that such a bad thing?
  4. So Wonderland finally gets a coaster that can seat 4 across and they choose to only seat two across instead. This makes me sad. I like B&M seating and was really looking forward to it on this coaster. STUPID WONDERLAND. Also, BEHEMOTH??!?!?? MapleHawk was much better. I am happy about the coaster, but the trains and the name are really stupid.
  5. I can't stop laughing at the Seagull picture. He has the best look on his face!! The rest of the pictures are awesome too.
  6. All without me! So sad. The EX was much better when the Dopple Loop(er?) was there. Wildcat was fun too..so was that G-Force ride that broke and hurt all those people a couple years ago. Now we just have a crappy spinning mouse. The EX gets worse and worse, and more expensive every year. WOOFY!!
  7. Hey look, we made it into someone's trip report! I guess it's true that you really do get everyone in your photos Nice TR. You have an awesome camera and you know how to use it.
  8. Little Bill is terrifying, he should not have his own coaster. Also, the girl in the front seat looks like Dora..
  9. I agree!!! That was my favourite ride in the park until they ripped it out for Top Gun Revenge of Zumba Flume!!
  10. Tonight I get to see pictures of my puppy for the very first time!! YAY! EDIT: No puppy pictures received. My happy pie is sad now.
  11. Why are so many parents so goddamn stupid? If your don't supervise your child and your child does something really dangerous and stupid, and someone tells your child to stop, your first reaction should not be "don't tell my child what to do!" it should be "I'm sorry I'm a jackass and don't know how to supervise my own children!" Maybe if you were watching, someone else wouldn't have had to say anything. Little wonder so many kids are so bratty and entitled, their own parents teach them they can get away with whatever they want! Also, if your kid makes a big huge mess because you're ignoring them and they get into things they're not supposed to, clean it up. If you don't want to look after children, DO NOT HAVE THEM. Why is that so hard?? Many people are really stupid when it comes to taking responsibility for another life, be it children or pets, and that makes me write very long rants.
  12. I love how there are so many TRs from the midwest trip, but most are completely different from the others. This is a great example of that, and is definately one of my favourites. I especially enjoyed the night parrots. You're very talented!
  13. We were wondering what happened to you guys. Glad to hear you're okay! It was nice meeting you and Mary, hopefully we'll see you guys again some time. As soon as we meet the awesome Micole, she moves away There's always Wonderland next summer, I guess! Do it anyway, ours wasn't awesome enough
  14. You know guys, a little rain isn't going to kill you. It's not that acidic! Yet. 60% and 40% aren't that big of a deal... especially considering some rides will continue to operate in light rain. Plus, rain will likely keep a lot of the crowds away from the park. Heck, even heavy cloud cover will keep some people away. If you guys come prepared [ie: PONCHOS], chances are even if it rains a lot on one day and only drizzles a bit on the other, you can still likely get the majority of the coasters/flats done. Look on the bright side and stuff. Or give the tickets to spaceace, that's cool too.
  15. So we drove down to Kennywood with the express purpose of hanging out with the TPR Mid-West crew! However, we ended up basically doing our own thing with Derek and Micole, with a few sprinkles of other TPR members thrown in for ZEST. Next time I think we'll immerse ourselves more in the TPR "groups", but that's not to say we didn't have a blast down there this time! Everything was running great, we discovered how awesome Thunderbolt is, we got some insane air on Jackrabbit, and we really, really hated that $%#^% GARFIELD RIDE. We like Kennywood. But not the potato patch. WE HIT THE POST BUTTON NOW IT'S OVER. Except Waldameer, if we get around to posting it. Thanks to everyone who made our day at Kennywood awesome! We hope to meet a bunch of you again soon! COLBERT ICE CREAM!!!! We do not have this in Canada It tasted of sweet, sweet freedom. And caramel. Apparently Jahan and Canobiefan have a secret love child, and we managed to catch him on film. Too bad he wouldn't show his face on camera. We quickly called on the LITTER GITTER!!!!!!!! to dispose of that mallgoth trash. Looks like TPR weren't the nerdiest group in the park that day. These Insane Clown Posse kids started chanting about insane clowns and Faygo as we walked by. Blurry picture, cute baby [and cute Elissa too] Rabbit Jack Oh snap, it's ghost Ted! I wonder what this alien is taking a picture of.. Hai u guyz. Jer enjoys his horse, while Robb looks uncomfortable on Tony the Tiger. This should've been posted in the beginning of the TR but we forgot. Chalk it up to old age I guess After Micole and Jer ate deep fried oreos, they had white stuff all over them. Sexytime. COOKIES. This picture is being broadcast without the express written consent of Major League Baseball. Look at that hot slut in the second row! HOLLA Pimps. Our photo TR skills have degenerated in the off season. Craptions. Animal abuse. Flamp. Micole getting Derek credits getting Micole credits getting Derek credits getting Micole credits. None for us Auto Race is auto awesome. OMG BLUE JAYS LIKE THAT OTHER GUY. REP. Doesn't this thing look like Tremors?? SOMETHING SMELLS FISHIE. hu hu hu. What a terrific audience. I'm really glad it didn't chop off my hands. Phantom's Revenge was having some problems, but being in the right place in the right time, we met up with Robb and Elissa, and ended up being able to ride during the coaster's "test runs"! Awesome! LOOK WE SAW TWO PEOPLE AT THE PARK AND TOOK A PICTURE Phantom's Revenge at night was awesome, and since that was basically the reason we went to the park on Friday night, it was totally worth it! The back seat of Thunderbolt gave my ass a happy Kangaroo was a "must ride" on this trip... that kid is like six inches off her seat! Bad ass ride. We drove through the Liberty Tunnel and Nikki took an artsy picture of some lights. I was hoping for a Steely McBeam sighting, myself. But at least we got to enjoy the signage. THE DUDE HAS A LIGHTNING BOLT IN HIS TOE. We made a stop at Waldameer along the way - only to find out that the park wouldn't open for another three hours. Oops!
  16. Wow, people who like Lost Coaster!! I've heard nothing but horrible things about it from everyone, but I loved it! Glad to see I'm not the only one. Those chicken hats are the best ever. I hope they're planning to make another appearance on the trip..or several. It looks like you guys are all having an amazing time!
  17. Your title is totally misleading, infact teasing me with a title like that and then not delivering immediately should be grounds for a banning! Stop real life and post the pictures already Looking forward to seeing the rest of your TR.
  18. I've worked at a camp for several years and I'd suggest working as a counsellor over anything else. It's a very exciting job with new challenges popping up all the time to keep you on your toes. It really is a lot of fun, and most of the time doesn't even feel like work. The experience itself completely depends on the type of camp and age of the kids. Are you planning to work at a sleep away camp or a day camp? Young kids or older kids? I've worked at a day camp with kids aged 3-9 and with each age group my job was completely different. With really young kids there's a lot more 'baby sitting' type work involved. You pretty much have to help them with everything, keep track of all their belongings (because they will forget EVERYTHING), make sure they're actually with you at all times, make sure they're happy, and encourage them to participate in the activities. It's still a lot of fun, especially when you see how excited they are about experiencing certain things for the very first time, but they rely on you a lot more than older kids do. With older kids there are a lot more activities you can do, and they're a lot more independant. I liked working with the younger kids, but my favourite group was the 7-9 year olds. I don't have experience with sleep away camp or camp kids older than 9 so I can't really help much there. The best piece of advice I can give you is to be positive and to be energetic and excited about all the activities, no matter how awful or boring they seem. If you're excited, the kids will be too. If you're having fun, they will too. Good luck!
  19. Tampa Bay is obviously the best team in the East. Yankees and Red Sox are for posers! hu hu hu
  20. Stupid doors! Why do you let me slam my thumb in you??
  21. Because you pee your pants. URINE URINE URINE URINE URINE?
  22. I'm so sorry for your loss, Shari. It's wonderful that you have all these great memories of her, at places that you both loved together. Thank you for sharing this with us.
  23. I love you. Let's get married. Name the time and place baby
  24. I have a vagina and I enjoy a good "roller coaster". I'm also not old or married. I wasn't pushed into this coaster stuff, I loved coasters as a kid, but I didn't really travel to parks until my now boyfriend, then best friend, planned a trip to Cedar Point. And there it began..again. It's not the focal point of our relationship and it's not the only thing we have in common. We also like sex! Many girls would like going to parks, you don't necessarily need one who's obsessed with them. It's one thing to have standards, but to force a potential girlfriend to fit your specific guidelines and hobbies is going to leave you lonely and desperate for the rest of your life..especially if you're ugly.
