Canada's Wonderland Discussion Thread
GwaziBSRider1 replied to BDG's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had the same problem with water when I visited in 2012. The employee just pointed at a vending machine and told me to get water there. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

I think that it got a little too close to the Darien Lake thread and got contaminated. -
What is your favorite Roller Coaster?
GwaziBSRider1 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I noticed that I never updated my top 5 on my signature like I should have back in April. So, my top woodie now is... -
First Defunct B&M?

Georgia Scorcher is smooth as glass! Sit down trains would be interesting on Apocalypse, since the theme is somewhat based around the standing trains. Of course, SFA would probably leave all of the references to the standing! -
False (I happen to enjoy Mean Streak very much) The person below me has been to a TPR Bash event.

Best Six Flags Park
GwaziBSRider1 replied to OrlandoGuy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I had similar feelings when they sold Worlds of Adventure to Cedar Fair. I still think it was the best Six Flags park (who knows though, my opinion could be different now). When they sold it off in the bankruptcy, I wish they would have sold off something else. I really miss having a Six Flags park close by that's actually worth my time (I'm looking at you, America). -
^ I read that article as well, but I wouldn't say that the business model failed, per say. Times have changed since 1982 (or whenever it was that EPCOT opened), and Disney has had to change since then. Yes, EPCOT does look outdated in some areas, but I know Disney can make it much nicer. I agree with more attractions in the World Pavilion, though. I always thought a coaster would be nice to see back there.

I'm glad that this got brought up. I honestly thought Kentucky was going to be dumb enough to fund this place, but it looks like they've finally noticed that funding it technically is a violation of separation of church and state. Apologies if the "Kentucky being dumb" comment offends anybody from Kentucky. It's not you, it's your state government.

I am EXTREMELY happy that my work finally bought me a new computer! The one I was using couldn't do much of anything, and I had to run AutoCAD on it. Now I have a nice and shiny new Lenovo to use! Yay!

It's definitely the Vekoma Motorbike. Specifically, the model at Toverland and Chimelong Paradise. -

Ride You Felt Was Unsafe?
GwaziBSRider1 replied to Mr Stratosphere's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ I don't think that's what he meant. It sounds like he had an epiphany about ride safety because of the accident. I rode Firehawk and I felt the exact same way! It scared the little poo-poos out of my brothers. The vest felt so loose, I was starting to freak out. I didn't notice this with Firehawk, but the last time I rode it was in 2010. I also didn't notice it with Nighthawk last year. Now that I've ridden all of the Flying Dutchmen, I probably won't ride any of them again. -
