  1. ^ Thanks for posting this! I can't wait to get a few of these made!
  2. The Montana Infinitum video is indeed excellent, and it's an amazing coaster, too. However, I will say that the best for me is the entirety of the "Ana and Elsa Ride Maelstrom" video posted this week. Never before have I laughed non-stop during a TPR video. An honorable mention goes to the video of Alicia at Selva Magica. What a strange walkthrough that is!
  3. Great report, AJ! I remember Beech Bend being an okay park when I was there last year, and your TR really captures its mediocrity. However, Kentucky Rumbler is an excellent coaster that shouldn't be missed.
  4. ^ When did Kennywood implement that? They always had a shelf in the station for people to leave their bags.
  5. ^ Perhaps they should import some of the bees from Dollywood.
  6. After an excruciating ride on Bizarro this summer, I beg to differ. My butt was firmly in my seat the whole time, and my thighs were throbbing. The ride op literally did a physical wind up before pushing the bar down... leaned back, and then shoved using his body weight. I had the same issue. I started lifting my legs slightly so I would have some more room.
  7. I hadn't heard, and I didn't make it up there this year. I would be very happy to see it because the front is/was fairly ugly without them.
  8. On Cyclone, it was VERY easy to tell what parts were Topper track and which weren't. I found it to be a HUGE difference. The Gertslauer trains are always horrible. Even just replacing them with PTC trains would probably make a noticeable difference.
  9. Even though I haven't watched Frozen, I firmly believe we need a place in Norway to build ourselves some snowmen.
  10. I like the idea of it as well, but I don't like the $20/ride price. I'm sure we've all been in the situation where only one ride has a long line and we really want to ride it, but don't want to wait a long time for it nor pay a huge price to use a FP only once.
  11. From a "local," 1. As said before, crowds shouldn't be too bad during the week. If it's crowded when you're there, buy a FL+ at the park. 2. I typically start with Dragster then go to the back of the park and work my way to the front. 3. Cedar Downs is the only flat I even bother with anymore. It's a classic and it's fantastic. 4. The only coasters I personally have seating preferences are MF (front) and Gatekeeper (back left). All of the others don't matter to me. 5. Stay toward the front or middle. The back isn't for the weak. 6. Breakers Express is cheapest, but you still have to pay for parking. I prefer to stay at the Hotel Breakers because of the location. The Bon-Air section is the cheapest and will be newly renovated when you visit. Hope this helps!
  12. Definitely looks a lot better than it did at SFA! Hopefully it will run better, too.
  13. ^ They are gorgeous, but they'd look a lot nicer if they still had the headlights on them. I always thought the original Son of Beast trains were really cool, even if they were pretty uncomfortable.
  14. ^ I would hate to see such (what I think is) a great layout go to waste. I think RMC could do something really fantastic with it.
  15. I would love to get one of those shirts for my friend who is nearly devastated about the new Frozen ride!
  16. Indiana Beach could really use something nice. Frankly, I thought it was a dump when I was there last year.
  17. This park looks really cool! It reminds me a lot of Storybook Forest at Idlewild (an old haunt of mine as a child), but this place looks more fun to me! Can't wait to see part II.
  18. Roar at SFA on Saturday. I found it to be running fairly well, too.
  19. ^ I'm surprised to hear Shock Wave to be rough. When I rode it last December, I found it to be a fairly smooth and enjoyable ride. (I actually liked it better than SFOG's Mindbender)
  20. I was at the park on Saturday to process my new Six Flags Gold Pass, and even though the fight wouldn't have affected me at all, I'm still glad I wasn't there for it. I don't know if anyone else was there Saturday, but it was an atrocious day for operations. I waited 20 minutes for the front seat of Superman and there were only three trains in front of me. Joker's Jinx broke down a few times and was running much slower than I remembered it (No wonder it valleyed). Roar, Apocalypse, and Wild One had major stacking as well. I was very surprised that Ragin' Cajun was the only coaster I rode with good operations.
  21. ^ I agree. I found Maelstrom to be one of the most disappointing rides at WDW. It would be a great place to take a midday nap before moving onto something much better.
  22. ^ It's pretty much the same ride, but they're definitely fun. It's just as deserted as Morey's!
  23. ^ I'll agree that the double up being removed from the plans was a great idea. It would've been extremely awkward and probably would've ended up being removed anyway, much like the heartline on Maverick.
  24. ^ If Cedar Fair buys it, you can kiss the whole park goodbye! I'll put my hat in the Herschend ring as well. I'd rather have no booze than no park.
  25. No...just...no. We can't tamper with the classics.
