  1. ^ Was she on coke or something when she rode it?
  2. That's a great summation of every ride of mine on both TTD and KK. Hell, I almost got stuck at the top of KK. One of these days, I'm going to go up to CP and get a FastLane Plus so I can hopefully get several good rides on TTD.
  3. When Kennywood built the Jack Rabbit in 1920, they actually destroyed a historical site. There was a spring on the side of the hill that George Washington supposedly drank from. It was a very popular place for people to get a free drink in the park.
  4. So glad that the adults will be allowed to ride the kiddie coaster!
  5. I'm speechless from that drop. That's going to be one damn amazing ride.
  6. I'm just glad that it finally opened. I've been selfishly postponing my first visit to Knoebels because this ride kept getting delayed. Knoebels is now a definite for 2014!
  7. Your picture of the wedding dress/sex shop reminded me of all of the sex shops and porn cinemas we walked past on culture day. The best was when we saw the sign pointing to one down the street and we started to head in that direction. I can still remember everyone asking each other "Are we all going to a sex shop??" and then it was really a delicious restaurant. Good times.
  8. I wonder how many of these old, abandoned parks still exist that we have no idea are around? It's an interesting thought to ponder.
  9. ^ Well, they do have the marine life. I don't recall seeing an orca swimming around in the lake at IOA.
  10. ^ I had the same issue, but I've known other enthusiasts who have ridden it without a kid. Sometimes, it just depends on who is running it. I was at Lakemont back in 2010, and the ride op let me on Little Leaper without a care in the world. I didn't even ask, I just walked on it. I went back to the park last year with a friend and they wouldn't let him on it. Inconsistencies in policies like this irritate me.

  12. Completely random, but I heard about this thread AGES ago and I just now found it! I'll make sure to start creeping around here now.
  13. The classic Huss rides from the 70s and 80s. Going to Marineland was a BLAST for me since that's pretty much their entire ride line up.
  14. ^ I had no trouble with SFA. I waited 30 minutes for it (it was literally the ONLY ride in the park with a line) without a child and walked right on it. Unless they changed it since last August.
  15. Hershey really needed that small family coaster. Hopefully, they'll let us credit whores on it!
  16. Oh, fantastic title fairy. I'd love a title that shows my dislike for Maverick. I do believe it's the most overrated coaster in the world. Thank you.
  17. Um...it is a vertical drop. According to the laws of physics, that's negative g's right there. Plus on days when it is cresting quickly...WHOA BOY Should have worded myself a bit better there. I've ridden TTD all across the train and I don't ever remember getting airtime. I'm not a big fan of TTD, and the only reason I even ride it is because I want to get a rollback. I probably wouldn't ride it again after that. It vibrates way too much on the launch.
  18. ^^ I've never gotten airtime on TTD. Is it only in certain seats or something?
  19. I used to love Chaos rides as a kid, but they make me so sick now. Good riddance to them, I say!
  20. ^ Doubtful. Marineland's pretty much broke.
  21. ^ At least they finally put the damn facade on the volcano! It only took them 23 years.
  22. ^ This. Another reason to compare them is that they are all the same Accelerator Coaster model.
  23. ^ But I always wanted to decapitate wildlife on an inverted coaster.... I'd rather see them landscape it because it would look a lot nicer than trenches.
  24. They'd have to put it in the clearing next to Intimidator. It's literally the only empty space in that area. I wish they would leave that area clear. It looks nice the way it is.
  25. That would be AWESOME! I think it would fit really well at Waldameer. Maybe after the "mortgage" is payed off. Here's another good one. In 1994, the Skycoaster was the first of its kind to be built inside of an amusement park. Originally, it was only going to be at Kennywood for one season before moving it to Sandcastle. It proved so popular that they kept it.
