  1. This will definitely be a wait and see for me. I'll wait until 2016 to go back there, and I'll probably end up going in March when it's dead. Also, I remember my mom being a hater of Wild Maus.
  2. ^ Glad to hear that! It says on their website that there's eight to choose from, but only mentions the Phantom. I'll have to head up there and get some much needed use out of my Carnegie Museums membership.
  3. ^ Both! You'll see long lines for EVERYTHING. I remember seeing the line for Urgent Scare stretching literally half of the park. I've been to Haunt twice, and I've literally seen three actors walking around. I don't worry about them much.
  4. I wouldn't think so. Every time I've been there, the crowds were low. It's a small park, so you should be able to get everything in with plenty of time for rerides.
  5. I was at Kings Dominion and it started to rain while on I305. I've never experienced such pain from rain before. I honestly thought the rain was going to shatter my glasses.
  6. For me, it was Wicked Twister opening year. I still remember exactly what I said when I walked off it: "It didn't impress me." To this day, it still doesn't.
  7. Palace/Parques Reunidos: Kennywood Cedar Fair: Cedar Point (But I'm partial. CW and Knott's are much nicer) Six Flags: Six Flags New England (Great Adventure is a close second) SeaWorld: Busch Gardens Tampa Herschend: Silver Dollar City Universal: Islands of Adventure (have only been to FL resort) Disney: Magic Kingdom (have only been to FL resort) Independent: Probably either Knoebels or Holiday World
  8. compared to Wildcat at HersheyPark? we thought Thunderhawk was cake. I'm sure. I haven't ridden Wildcat since 2008.
  9. ^ Well, they did have that mouse several years ago. It used to do fairly well.
  10. ^ I think I would have to hate KD forever if they did that. I rode it at MIA for the first time since riding it at Geauga Lake, and it's running so much worse now. However, I have to love KD forever for getting my favorite floorless coaster. Although, the seats are hilarious anymore. When the SF to CF transition happened, they just cut the Batman logos off the seat and didn't fix it.
  11. Oddly enough, RCDB is using the Tempesto name. http://rcdb.com/12277.htm
  12. ^ I agree 115% with Maverick. I still strongly believe that it is THE most overrated coaster. Another one would easily be Voyage. It has a great layout, but it was very rough when I rode it in 2010. I've also heard a lot of people praise Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain, but all it did was give me a headache from hitting the top of the car numerous times.
  13. Magnum is my favorite Arrow, but Loch Ness Monster is an EXTREMELY close second. Honorable mentions go to Big Bad Wolf (RIP), Viper, Vortex, Dragon Mountain, Adventure Express, and Thunderation.
  14. The new Phantom is definitely better than the old. I remember when I rode it for the first time, it completely blew me away. Although, I really did enjoy the old version. It taught me well how to ride rough Arrows. The Carnegie Science Center downtown has a simulator of the Phantom in their SportsWorks building. It used to be of the old version, but they may very well have updated it by now.
  15. I would never go to Kings Island during Haunt without a FastLane, especially if you want to ride the Beast at night. I'm sure Banshee will have a gigantic line as well.
  16. ^ I've always enjoyed Thunderhawk, but it was pretty damn rough when I last rode it back in 2012.
  17. I think the trim should be reduced a bit on both of those rides. Just enough so that it doesn't slam you into the restraint. Titan's isn't nearly as bad as Goliath's in my opinion.
  18. ^^ Agreed! Out of all of the coasters I've ridden, Goliath is definitely the most painful to me. When I rode it, I hit my back against the seat so hard, I wasn't sure I was even going to be able to walk off the ride without assistance. As much as I enjoyed the ride (sans pain), I have no plans to ride it again until something is done to that train.
  19. ^ Exactly. Even when they added seat belts to the existing Hypers, the dispatch time was barely longer.
  20. ^ When I used to go to this event every year, it never got crowded, but I haven't been to HP since 2008. I'll be there either the 18th or Nov. 1st. Which weekend will have the lower crowds?
  21. I see them on eBay here and there. I also have an old coaster DVD that has a lovely interview of Robb at Goliath media day wearing a patch jacket.
  22. The transitions will be better yes. We'll see what it's like when it opens.
  23. Okay, I'll be the one to say it. I think this could be very painful. Why? Because this ride was designed for standing, not sitting. Heartline design, of course, puts all of the forces centered on your heart. Now that we'll be sitting on this ride, all of the forces will be focused higher on our bodies. This means that the forces will probably focused right on our heads. That could mean some SERIOUS pain during the finale.
  24. ^ Screamscape says a lot of things. However, one of those would fit in very well.
  25. ^^ Scream is only rough because of the rattle. It's really not all that painful.
