^ I doubt it's Stiles. He's much taller and lankier than the guy in the picture. -

^ I personally like Roar more than Wildcat, but I've always been a fan of Roar. After riding both this year, they're about the same in terms of roughness to me. -
a tragedy happened during the media event. Six Flags invited numerous celebrities to inaugurate the new tower, and when they all reached the top, the tower fell over. Not only were dozens of America's favorite celebrities killed instantly, the tower also completely crushed Maverick! During Six Flags' investigation, they found the collapse was caused by...

lots of incredibly bizarre, out of place theme changes. MF, TTD, and Magnum all became Superman rides, and Raptor, Gatekeeper, Iron Dragon, and Wicked Twister all became Batman rides. Maverick became Catwoman's Whip and Mean Streak was painted bright green and purple to be reincarnated with a Joker theme. However, the MOST bizarre part of Cedar Point's transformation was...

an entire operating year! The fart was so bad that it caused all of the steel in the park to corrode. Instead of cleaning up the mess, Cedar Fair "donated" the park to Six Flags. They reopened the park with...

I was at the park on Saturday for the first time since 2008, and I forgot how much I missed the place. Everything was running great, and the crowds weren't too terrible. A few things I noted: Great Bear is still one of the most under-appreciated B&M's. It still delivers one of my all-time favorite night rides. Wildcat was nowhere near as rough as I was expecting. I actually didn't find it to be bad. I can remember it being MUCH rougher with the PTC trains. Sidewinder is much better with its new trains. It was easily the best experience I've had with the new Vekoma trains. I love the new trains for Sooperdooperlooper, and I'm so glad that they haven't added seatbelts to it. Food service was absolutely horrible. I've seen better at Six Flags parks. All-in-all, I had a great visit. Skyrush, Fahrenheit, LR, and Storm Runner were all fantastic. My only regret is waiting until the evening to ride Cocoa Cruiser (I had to wait 30 minutes for it). -
Entertaining, funny ride ops.

There was a great ride op on Trailblazer at Hershey on Saturday. As the train left the station, he asked everyone to put their hands up. If you didn't, he squirted you with water. He did the same thing at the final brake run, too. -
What is your next park?

Maybe Six Flags over Georgia in December for Holiday in the Park. If not, something early next year. -

Skyrush at Hersheypark on Saturday night. -
The only interesting stuck story I have is from Flashback at SFNE this year. We broke down on the lift hill and were stuck about five minutes before maintenance came and ran us through the course. The GP on the train were the angriest people I've ever seen. They kept yelling at the ride ops and the managers for "forcing them to ride something dangerous" and that Flashback should be torn down. One of the guests had to be escorted out of the park by security for trying to fight one of the ride ops. All of that craziness was because of a small computer glitch.

True (I'd rather ride their Big Dipper kiddie coaster than Thunderhawk!) The person below me thinks the questions are starting to get too ridiculous.

Ah, the Cup Challenge.... I rode it on its debut season (2006? 2007?) and the car valleyed on some dip near the end. We were stuck for ages before maintenance finally came and gave us a push! If memory serves, they got rid of that dip when I rode it the next year. -

That is an amazing look for a dive machine. I'm definitely going to make sure to visit this park next year. -

It would be easier to just put in a new drainage system. If they can fix the horrible drainage problem of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, I'm pretty damn sure they can fix a Minnesota parking lot. -
