  1. The name is a bit strange for a Star Flyer, but kudos to them for choosing something original.
  2. ^ If you didn't know already, the "magic" seat for Arrow and Vekoma loopers is the first row of the last car.
  3. ^ I didn't realize Premier and B&M were interchangeable terms. But anyway, they both used to have a Schwarzkopf shuttle loop (even if SFDK's was in parking lot storage). Six Flags Magic Mountain and Universal Studios Japan
  4. This park is about the same size, if not larger than Cedar Point. If you're going for two days, I'm sure you could ride everything without a FastLane. I was there a few years ago during a slow day of the peak season and almost every queue was full. I would recommend checking out their website and make a plan of what rides you want to ride on which day(s). As well as the great coaster collection, they have a few unique flats like Night Mares, Orbiter, and Sledgehammer. From what I can remember, there were no single rider lines at all, but this may have changed since my visit. CW is an AMAZING park, and I'm sure you'll have an excellent time!
  5. Maybe an elevator would work. The train could stop at a point and go up/down with a story element.
  6. ^ I could justify a visit just because of Kentucky Rumbler! I might have to add this park onto my Kentucky Kingdom/Holiday World trip for next year.
  7. ^ Fury shouldn't have too many problems. Thunderbird might, considering it's a first.
  8. This is an interesting project, especially since it will be operated by an American company. I'm curious to see how this will end up. Thanks for sharing, Larry!
  9. Marineland is a nice park, but it's simply not worth the expensive price. It's fine if you get a discount ticket. Dragon Mountain is a great Arrow coaster that's incredibly unique. They've also got a nice collection of Huss rides. Oh, and there's marine life.
  10. I don't mind the soundtrack while going up the lift hill, but I couldn't stand it at the brake run. It was not pleasant to hear that loop of "Bizarro" while being stacked. The rest of it was simply lost; I couldn't hear it at all during the actual ride. Not that I was paying attention (or cared) anyway. I like the effects on the ride, but that soundtrack and these trains need to go.
  11. Each received one of the two Lightnin' Loops from SFGAdv. Silver Dollar City and Fuji-Q
  12. ^ Marineland closed their Topple Tower.
  13. "Rebel Yell" by Billy Idol
  14. ^ Your avatar pretty much sums up that chain, too. My avatar is a picture of me (sans glasses) and some Mexican child (whose name I've long forgotten) on Selva del Raton at Parque Bicentenario in Mexico during the TPR Mexico Tour in 2013. The ride required adults to ride with a child, so instead of KT riding thirty times with all of us, a kind family let us borrow their children!
  15. Here's another pair. Pleasant: Revolution at SFMM - I was expecting one of the most painful experiences in my life, but I didn't get hurt at all. Even though it doesn't need to be said, it would be much better without the trims and OSTRs. Unpleasant: Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster - I heard a bit of hype for it, and the setting is pretty beautiful. BUT for $13/ride, it leaves a lot to be desired. I was not pleased to see trims. It really destroyed the experience that you get from an alpine coaster. I wouldn't ride it again.
  16. ^ When I visited in May, they were slow. Nothing unexpected though (It is Six Flags, after all).
  17. This is one of the most perfect examples of not being able to please certain people. Next thing you know, we'll start hearing things like "We don't want a clone of Expedition GeForce because it's not unique!"
  18. La Marcus Thompson (Seriously, nobody put him?) John Miller Werner Stengel Anton Schwarzkopf
  19. Xcelerator - Knott's Berry Farm
  20. I'm definitely not embarrassed to be a coaster enthusiast. It's what defines me. I've never gotten any crap about being a coaster enthusiast in all of the 21 years I've been one. Personally, I don't understand how it is an embarrassing hobby.
  21. True. Many of them, actually. The person below me has been on all of the North American Giga coasters (excluding Fury, obviously).
  22. ^ Even if capacity has increased, that train makes the ride INCREDIBLY painful. I'm sorry, but I'd rather have a slightly lower capacity ride that I can ride without injuring myself.
  23. I've actually greyed out on many coasters over the years, Scorpion at BGT being the first. Others include I-305, Millennium Force (first drop into first overbanked turn), GateKeeper (at the top of the Immelman), Backlot Stunt Coasters (first helix), Verbolten (inside of building), Goliath and Titan (helix), and others that I can't think of at the moment.
