I like the Breakers as it's more midway situated for easy access into the park. After the park closes you can still grab a meal or cocktail. They also have live entertainment and movies on the beach at the hotel after dark. Another plus is the huge fire pit area, fun for relaxing and conversing and it goes all night. Breakers are more full service with multiple pools & restaurant choices. I am glad I opted for the Breakers. Very immersive atmosphere.

Just when ya thunk it was gone, she rises from from the dead. I really thought last year was it's last. It really is an amazing park, in a odd post -apoplectic horror movie sort of way. If you have never been, and you are a true coaster/park fan, you really must check out this wonderful part of history before it's gone. I'll be making a visit this coming august for sure.

At least we can ride Orphan Rocker SOON !

hey, why hasn't the park made a big deal about their new hybrid coaster? You know, the first picture after the chicken shack one. 305 goes directly into the turn around portion of Rebel Yell. Nice report.

What a cool opportunity. The pics are great.

Breakers are more mid point (ha ha). One of the gates to entry from there lets you in right by Gatekeeper which is pretty darn close. When I was there they had temporary gates stretching across the midway near Raptor .I'm thinking this is more of a holding area until rope drop for regular admissions. You could walk to the front gate if you pass through an attended opening of the temp gates. Upon returning to the main part of the park you must show your early entry pass again. We did that one morning when Raptor hadn't opened yet due to a delay of about 10 minutes and hadn't been to the front yet during a multiple days stay. Your best bet for park planning is to use the gate farther back and head first to Maverick at the very back of the park and work your way forward. You'll avoid a lot of waiting time for the biggies.

Thanks for the report. I've wanted to go but was hesitant because of things I had heard about the way it was run. I've had family members who went and confirmed that ops were so-so. This report has me interested in going again. Not a priority, but someplace I do want to check out.

^ That's half the fun of a Zipper. The noises that make it seem so sketchy and even scarier. That and the falling apart foam and duct tape cushioning inside the cages. Best sketchy ride ever !

So if you're in Canada, no assisted suicide coasters anytime soon I guess. Or quoting John Allen, " the ultimate coaster is built when you send out 24 people, and they all come back dead. Don't see that happening soon either. I guess that's what sets limits. imho.

^ the early entry is well worth it. The majors are the ones that open. Last year on our first day of early entry we got on Maverick twice, Millenium once and TTD all by opening time. And that is a lot of walking included. Our other days of early entry were just as productive.

Locally for me, White Lightning and Cheetah Hunt. Fun, a little "scary" and completely re-ridable. Otherwise there are so many more.

I know there is nothing I can do other than send a little of my love, to help with the sorrow those close must feel, and just remember the good times.

That looks like it might be a nifty kiddie coaster. bigger than what I thought it would be.

The bone yard is really neat looking. I would love to have some of that "stuff" that's just sitting around.
