  1. ^^ keep in mind the rides are generally only open fri, sat and sun.
  2. Especially when an all day pass costs a mere 10 bucks. After 12 rides on Blue Streak, 4 on Tumble Bug, 2 on Devils Den, and other re-rides on Witches Stew, Trabant, Flyers, Musik Express, etc etc, our cost per ride was about 25 cents per ride. We only planned on an hour or so, but wound up spending a good portion of the day there. My only regret was that we didn't get on the Kiddie coaster. It was the same version that was at Cedar Point when I was a kid. The line was too long with little kids and I wasn't about to be the creepy old dude trying to get on and denying some poor kid the chance to ride. The ride ops for it were sooo cool. They really hyped the ride to the kids on the microphone, telling them to scream and all that stuff. I just had fun and laughed watching them do that.
  3. Neil, We did the same type thing last year on our way to Kennywood. If you know what to expect, you'll be good. And really, you will have fun in a sort of post-apocalyptic sort of way. Blue Streak is a blast and worth re-rides, Tumble Bug too. Devils Den is, well, see note above are as most rides. The craft brew place is good too, and they give samples. How long the park will go on is always the big question. I always say, go to parks like that, enjoy what's there imagining what it was like at one time. It's a part of coaster and amusement park history. Conneaut is on my (taking my life into my own hands ) agenda for this year too.
  4. The online edition has a picture that only fuels the, omg, look at the horrible conditions garbage. Reading the article, a normal person would understand the idea behind the box. But, I wonder how many will hold this pic up claiming "look at the tiny space they are confined to" blah blah blah.
  5. Oh Boy, here we go again. Sea World had "blackfish" and now some people are attacking BGT as the possible new "Blacksnake" ? A front page article in the Tampa Bay Times has Herpatologists /activists / animal rights groups ,claiming that " putting vipers and pythons in front of thousands of tourists next to a rumbling roller coaster could be torture for these animals" A rather lengthy read. Here's the link, http://www.tampabay.com/things-to-do/travel/florida/snakes-sensitive-to-vibrations-to-be-housed-at-busch-gardens-cobras-curse/2278244
  6. ^ It's all part of the charm, I guess. Btw- is it too early for #Itllalwaysopen ?
  7. While not an earth shattering new ride, it's nice to see this little heard of park keeps chugging along with something new. I am sure it will be a hit with the locals. They look like cute and fun 'lil rides.
  8. ^^ I always wanted one of those as a kid. Oh well, some say you're never too old. (I just have to check the weight limit. Clearance envelope should be fine)
  9. Dip n dots guy says trains being removed and are being sent to BGT for Gwazie. See, . Itllneveropen.
  10. green shirt green shirt, yeah thats what Ima gonna wear
  11. Yeah I never did quite understand all the cardboard cut out hippies there?
  12. The original Bat. But the new Bat for current ones.
  13. Oh these first world problems, whatever shall we do? Oops, I'm sorry, forgot to add, @It'llnever open
  14. Envelope was much higher on Kumba and wider on Space Mountain when they opened. Why you ask? WELL, Kumba is sinking (into a sinkhole) and Space Mountain is shrinking in the heat. Ya know, these things happen .
  15. I don't know much about lake winnie. but I do want to do the Fly-O Planes. They were one of my faves when I was a kid, AND, was one of my mom's nightmare when she was a kid. This means it is going back to the 1940's Geauga lake ( for my mom, not me ) Oh the stories she would tell....
  16. Oh dear lard, I don't know where to start. I had 3 of my in laws down from lawdy ho god sacred virginia and they wanted to go there. Asked us if we wanted to go, and well, hell no. Short story. they went, paid some ridiculous entry fee and all said they were ripped off. This coming from one that is a bible thumper, one who is an athiest and one who was, get this, a methodist minister ! How is that place still in business ? It looks like a total rip off from the street
  17. I haven't ridden one in a while but the last one I rode was at a fair in ohio and it ran a full tilt on , never thought it would end program. It had to be the scariest ride I have been on. Would love to find one like that again !
  18. Dino Burgers ! They must have died out on the ark. Lots of burgers for the long haul. They could feed on those big ole critters for quite some time.
  19. The only thing I really know about Rye, and the reason I would like to go there is for Derby Racer. I've heard that, unlike Cedar Point, they still run theirs at full speed ? When Cedar Downs was still at Euclid Beach, it was always a fave of mine.
  20. I find Sheikras drop to be more intimidating than Griffon. I think that may be due to Shiekras drop has no visual obstruction to the bottom, messing with my depth perception, whereas on Griffon, the drop has track crossing over the drop. That first drop gets me every time on Shiekra. Also, the angle of the lift is a bit intimidating the first couple of times you ride.
  21. looks like a fun day. As far as the season pass photo, I usually ask that they turn off the lights, I look soooo good in the dark. Smart move on their part for guests I suppose .
  22. I never had a problem with the "smoothness" except for a bit of a head bang towards the end. Maybe that will be lessened a bit ? I dunno. Looks like some cool enhancements tho.
  23. Oh oh, So for now it's LINE- The Ride.
  24. Bert, We live in St Pete and have lots of suggestions, however right now I am out of town for a week and have very limited internet access. I will give some suggestions once I get back to the real world.
  25. I hope the future goes well for them just as long as they never get rid of Bleu Streak and tumble bug. Oh sacre bleu, I miss spellered Blue Streak.
