  1. Jarmor, the good pierogies are sauteed in butter and served with sauteed onions and more butter. They are sooo good. the other stands just serve them "dry", which are good but not as awesome.
  2. beautiful report. Looks like a fantastic trip. One I would like to take someday.
  3. Primanti Bros in the Strip District is cool. The Strip District is worth a daytime visit the next day if you have the time. Wholley's Seafood store has an ungodly huge fish sandwich that's to die for and cheap .The fish in the sandwich is sold by the pound. A very unique experience.
  4. Just a quick observation, and it is quite annoying. (and I know there are others who feel the same) Why must people post something and then tell us all it was sent from their piddly pitty patty tappy yappy talkie phone ? Are you getting some kind of commission from your phone company? Turn that stupid message off people.
  5. I was surprised at the no Skyride camera policy too. When I was a kid, everybody took pictures from the Skyride, myself included. Different era, different times. I guess there were too many careless people dropping them on the midway below is my guess.
  6. Bugs, a tradition at Cedar Point since the 1800's Love it, hate it, can't get away from them. It's part of the fun and theming I guess.
  7. yep, I agree, HHN is a nightmare if you don"t work it properly. Just like a horror movie, if you don't plan it right, you is gonna get killed.

  9. That park idea is long long gone. I worked in the area when they were first building it and then it just sat and sat and sat and sat. It is long gone. I think it is now a wallmart.
  10. Just got back from the Rays vs the SF Giants. We lost 5/1. I have never experienced a game like tonight. The unity and love and tears were so incredible. 40 thousand freakin sold out crowd. And all was donated to the victims of Pulse. I have never ever seen anything like tonight. Maybe ,just maybe, there is hope for humanity. I took pictures of tonight and hope they came out good enough to post tomorrow. So amazing how much our local LGBT community pitches in.
  11. Cool, maybe we can meet up. If nothing else, at Funspot.
  12. Wow, Bert great ! I wish I had your willpower.
  13. Saturday morning, a vigil will be held here in St Pete for the victims of the Pulse Massacre at the Holocaust Museum. If you are ever in St. Pete it is a must visit. There is a large section devoted to the LGBT people who were imprisoned/ killed. It is really sobering. They have actual pieces of clothing with the pink triangles on them. They are honoring especially Christopher Leinonon, who was murdered at Pulse. Christopher was honored in 2002 for his work in getting the Gay /Straight Alliace started here in Pinellas county. He is sadly missed. After we leave there, we are heading to the Lakeland Pride, where several other who lost their lives were from.
  14. This is really something. It has been a really bad week for us in Fla. But this shows how much the people of this area are responding. On, wednesday, the Tampa Bay rays announced that the game b/tw them and the SF giants were offering tickets for only 5 bucks in honor of, Alll proceeds to go to the victims of the PULSE massacre. It was announced at 8 am wednesday. I asked my husband if we should go and he gave a resounding yesI . We bought our tickets around 3 pm and the only thing left were the nose bleed seats. When the 6 pm news came on it was announced that the entire stadium had been sold out. That is over 40 thousand people. !!! Tonite will be .. I don't know, Awesome , sad and incredible. I haven't been to a MLB game since I was a kid In 1969 when Euclid beach was still open. It was the Cleveland Indians and I got an autograph from Ken Hairilson. ( still treasured to this day, he was so hot) he he. Also Saturday morning in St Pete at the Holocaust Museum, a vigil will will be held for a local guy that was slain sunday. He was a true hero as he was honored by the museum in 2002 , as a kid, for the Anne Frank Humanitarian Award for his work in starting the first Gay straight Alliance in Pinellas county. It has been so sad around these parts. I know my spelling etc. is not good right now, but we are still torn up and not really worried about perfect prose. sorry.
  15. Haven't stayed at the campground but it looks nice. Walked through it for a bit. Keep in mind, you can think to excess at Knoebels but you can't drink to excess. You have to become a closet drinker there.
  16. Yes, Yes, that's the guy. He's still in P-Town. Too funny. Loving this report.
  17. This was just announced. NBCUniversal has just donated 1 million dollars in memory of the 6 ! yes SIX employees of Universal who were slaughtered. From NBCUniversal CEO Steve Burke’s internal email to employees: It has been a heartbreaking week for our nation and for each of us as members of the NBCUniversal family. On Monday, I shared with you that two employees, Luis Vielma and Jonathan Camuy, died in the incomprehensible tragedy in Orlando. Sadly, we now know that four additional people associated with the company were killed. Jerald Wright and Xavier Emmanuel Serrano Rosado from Universal Studios Orlando; Anthony Laureano, a production assistant with one of Telemundo’s outside production partners on “La Voz Kids;” and Shane Tomlinson who regularly performed in a band at Universal Orlando’s City Walk, also lost their lives. Two other NBCUniversal employees were hospitalized and fortunately they are both recovering. We’ve lost six special individuals who had so much to give to their families, friends and communities. Like me, I am sure many of you have spent much of the last several days mourning this senseless loss of life and grieving for those it has affected. As hard as this is for us to grapple with, you can imagine how difficult it is for our colleagues at Universal Orlando Resort, Telemundo and Golf Channel who call Orlando and Florida home, not to mention for those who worked directly with Luis, Jonathan, Jerald, Xavier, Anthony and Shane. We have given a lot of thought to what we could do as a company to honor and support the victims and acknowledge this profound loss. To that end, Comcast NBCUniversal will be making a $1 million donation to the OneOrlando Fund, which has been set up by the Mayor of Orlando to support non-profits that are providing services to the victims and families, as well as working with the LGBTQ, Hispanic and other affected communities. In addition, we will host two candlelight ceremonies tonight Thursday, June 16 at 10:00pm ET/7:00pm PT. The ceremonies will be held at the Music Plaza in Universal Studios Florida and the Globe Theatre in Universal Studios Hollywood
  18. Beer, Bar B Q, yummy hot jalepenos, with a side of coasters. What's not to love?
