In no particular order... BGT IOA Alton Although I agree with most, if I had to choose one, I would probably say BGT. BGW just doesn't do it for me. Apollo is my least favorite B&M Hyper, I think Alpie sucks, and Griffon will be good, but not that much better than Shakira!

Hey Dave, We will be getting 14 day JR Passes. We will use them Sat - Fri. So if you come in on Saturday, that will be fine for you to go ahead and activiate it and use it to get up to Tokyo. If people are going to come in Early or stay late, they will have to decide if you would like to upgrade to a 21 day pass (an extra $120). (There is not an option to just add on a day or two). You will have to figure out how much the train would be without the rail pass to see if it's worth it or not. For us, it is not worth it to buy the extra days, because we will be in Tokyo the last few days and will just pay for local trains/subways and one way to the airport. Hope this helps.

Apparently Lake Compounce has been infiltrated by Knotts Management! "Sorry Folks, see those there clouds in the sky, yeah we're not going to open on a Saturday because of them!" That's really shocking and appalling that even after a call to the park it was closed when you got there. I'm truly shocked! And don't worry about what others are saying, Boulderdash is HIGHLY overrated and the rest of the park is just 'meh'.

LOL... Rent here sucks, but it has nothing to do with living near a Theme Park. Down in Los Angeles it would be worse, but Valencia is a nice rapidly growing community so it's getting more and more expensive here as well. In our Complex, 1 Bedrooms start at $1250, 2 Bedrooms start around $1700. It's pretty much the same all over Valencia if you want one of the newer, nicer complexes.

Yeah, while this is a much smaller event than HHN in Florida, I'm really looking forward to it! We'll probably try and do a TPR group on one of the nights!

Medusa at SFGAd used to have the best view... Watching the monkey's tear apart the cars on the safari was priceless! I hear now they have fenced them in...lame!

I think this is really stupid. Until they ban blackberry's, eating, putting on makeup, shaving, text messaging, reading, etc. this is pointless! If anything this will make me pay less attention as I'll have to find my headset, find the phone, dial stuff, whatever! I'll probably just text message more now which is way more difficult than just talking on the phone! As for the effectiveness of the few states that have done this, I remember seeing an article that basically said it really had no effect on accidents.

Thanks Jeff, That definitely helps...although I'm kind of bummed because it seems like they could have done so much more with the concept and terrain they have. Oh well, it will still be awesome!
