Yeah I wouldn't worry too much. From what I understand the only way people fail is by doing stupid little things, like forgetting to put on your seatbelt or not checking your mirrors! In Florida the test is SUPER EASY! It's a little cute course (not even real streets!) No Parallel Parking either! The coolest part is they want to see you make a sudden stop so you accelerate up to 30mph, then the guy will yell out, 'stop' and you have to stop safely and quickly without skidding! I had to take the test in my mom's minivan! Ahh, memories!

I thought someone posted a really great detailed report and photos of this park...anyone remember? or have time to search?

Funny timing! I just caught the preview during the Simpsons! It's Scandia Screamer at Scandia Amusement Center in Ontario, CA.

Photo TR: Adventure Island 9/23
SharkTums replied to live2tell75's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah, I would love to hear some of the 'true' stories behind Adventure Island. I always loved that park! (I mean, the walk up to the body slides is soooo awesome and different from any other!) But they've definitely done some weird stuff. They took out Barratuba which I loved! (I heard it was because too many people were complaining about getting hurt). It was one of those 'concrete trough, rapids type slides' very old school, but awesome and high capacity. Wahoo Run eventually took it's spot like 5 years later! Also, when Key West Rapids opened they had these awesome interlocking tubes that you would go down in. Kind of the precursor to the clover leafs. But something bad must have happened as the ride was shut down, and those tubes were gone soon after opening! And now, isn't the middle tube of water moccasin, and tyhpoon gone!?!? I'm very curious to go back there! Thanks Eric! -
Rides that will never happen

I have always dreamed of riding a "Jahan". But I know that can never happen. January seems so far away. -

Keep in mind, Steeper does not always equal FASTER! -
Dude, I laughed so hard at the Test Track reference! Hmm, so a McDonalds next to a Gummi Store...could that possibly be heaven for Robb and I!??!?! How close was that picture of GeForce, that would solidify it! Be safe and have a great time! Don't forget to take LOTS of pictures of the Scwarzkopfs for Joe!

Silver Star Question
SharkTums replied to dylang's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I do believe it is B&M's tallest, and I'd disagree that the view is 'amazing'. Sure it's nice, but there is a whole lot of parking lot! -
It's always really sad to see a new, very promising piece of technology suffer such a fatal accident, especially at the fault of human error. I'm kind of shocked that there wasn't a better monitoring system in place, but still, with only 20 or so miles of track, they should have known better. I hope this doesn't slow down the maglev train movement, as I'm excited to try out Shanghai's and Japan is working on a test system that has already gone 350+mph!

Arrowhead Splashdown, or whatever they're calling it nowadays is awesome...well, more specifically, when you're up on the tower, go down the middle slide as a double and I'm yet to see someone not almost die on it! Seriously, they look so cute and innocent, and if you ride the other two sides of them, or you ride single they are! But if you ride that middle one with two people, you will flip out and die! It's awesome!

SharkTums replied to snuggles's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think there will be a lot of us there next year! Seriously, it's a really nice park, but for coaster/thrill ride people you'll want to do the Coasters, Waterpark, and Double Shot. If you have a family, there are a lot of family rides. Don't hold the free Pepsi products against them too much. -

Wow, I too am blown away by the amount of trees they used to have. I understand the Cedar Fairzation of parks (lots of concrete and trashcans) even more now. Kind of sad. -

LOL to my McDonalds rehabilitation! Seriously though, feel free to add it all up in your head, or with receipts as we go. I know some of the UK Tour Peeps did this and were pretty shocked at how expensive everything was, and what a great deal they got for the price! -

Yeah Steel, have you actually BEEN on a GCI??? They are not known for airtime, they're known for changes of direction, out of control, smoothness, stuff like that. Even the best ones only have little pops of air. -

Yeah, I'm really hoping that the Press Release was mistaken about the MF Trains having '4 People Per Car, 6 Cars Per Train'. I guess there could be some new version of the MF Train's but I doubt it. Or perhaps, this is just how they word it nowadays? Anyways, the ride looks cool. -
Three Comments... 1. I didn't know they had hot chicks in Fresno 2. Did that Sarah girl eat all the clay??? 3. Did you know that Joey was also in Robotics Club!?! How cute!!!
