^^I think this TR has solidified our visit! Looking into taking a small group next year! I already have the itinerary! (Short, but sweet!)

I think that the GP would not even think that a Tornado and Toilet Bowl were the same. When you think about the area it's going into, I'm not sure it's suited for a Master Blaster. They seem to 'leak' a lot of water, and if they're not getting rid of the two straight down slides I wonder how that would work. Keep in mind Proslide has LOTS of cool Tornado slide options on their site that we haven't seen actually built yet! If it is a Master Blaster, eh...hopefully it will live up to Crush n Gusher!

The Looping-Slide strikes back!
SharkTums replied to DragonKhan's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been checking out their website for the past 20 minutes or so, and I think the best thing they have going for them is this: Slide Installation Germany - 253 Switzerland - 91 Japan - 71 Hmm, those are three quality, safety concious, fun loving countries! I'll be curious to try some out! (But still not the looping one!) -

Honestly, I don't think this one looks quite right either. Looks too high and too fast, and you'd go slamming into that loop! No thanks! -
Knotts: Potential for Greatness
SharkTums replied to ed_orangeco_cali's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
OMG! If I hear one more person talk about 'how heavily themed Maverick is' I'm going to kill them!!!! A heavily themed launched coasters is Revenge of the Mummy, or even Powder Keg or Hulk...Heck Volcano is pretty up there! Sorry, but I see Maverick on the level of Hypersonic in the theming department! -

Unless I'm missing something, that wasn't Katun, that was the Vekoma Loop Screw at Heide Park. -

Very well said Robb. I'm actually shocked by how well you articulated your position. I don't know how anyone could argue with what you wrote. (Especially the Dan and Gremlins portion!) -

Slingshot!
SharkTums replied to thrillrideseeker's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yeah the slingshots never really did anything for me. In fact, I think I preferred the old school bungee versions because at least then you knew there was a good chance of your death! The new versions just seem very smooth and controlled. -

Glad to see they have those Wheels in more places! Although, I worry a bit about the amount of Puke that must surround the wheel! -

Don't you think we've given thought to traffic patterns and timing? Keep in mind, we live in LA!!!! KING OF TRAFFIC! We will be driving through (and when I say through, I mean around!) Chicago in the middle of the day, we will be leaving AFTER rush hour another day. As for deposits, they must be POSTMARKED by today for first dibs, we do NOT have to RECEIVE them today. Keep in mind, if you still do not know about putting a deposit down you are welcome to put a deposit down AFTER the Postmark day, but you will not be put in the initial lottery (if needed). I'd also like to remind people that over the course of 10 months last year we had SIXTEEN DROPS! So that means that 16 people from the waitlist made it into the trip! This means, please do NOT give up hope if you are put on a waitlist. -

Wait Wait Wait... Elissa =( because you hate me... or Elissa =( because you miss me... I seriously don't know!!!! -
I say screw your boss and quit! Seriously though, they can pretty much tell you to do anything, and get rid of you for anything, so you'll have to decide what is more important to you. If you think you can get another, different, but equal job...screw those people! I think it's pretty obnoxious when people come into work with their dogs, but god forbid I would bring my hamster and 'that's just a dumb rodent'. Everyone is going to be offended by something, you can't please anyone, people need to get a thicker skin or go live in a cave! So I say, keep the picture, and wear the flag!
