  1. And you don't have to go far to get other examples. Dragon Mountain at Marineland is a few miles from the falls, and still is advertised as the worlds largest steel roller coaster. And the entire Clifton Hill area is your usual tacky over hyped tourist trap. I doubt whatever this thing is, is going to be anything mind blowing.
  2. Probably unlikely, but perhaps the fish hook coaster that was planned for Stratosphere is coming to one of the towers overlooking the falls? Not that I really believe that. But while everyone is throwing out wild guesses ...
  3. Have you seen the episode of Futurama where Dr. Zoidburg goes home to mate? Same thing as Canadians.
  4. Probably re tracking the 3/4 of original track left.
  5. They're coming, they're coming. Though I've got all 2007 to do, and they come in near the end. I see this was taken AFTER I tried stepping on the stair which wasn't there.
  6. I got to 40 something before losing interest. Some of them I didn't get at first. But after answering them 10 times I started to understand some of them. Like "abundance"
  7. There really isn't much in between Erie and Buffalo. You could look into staying in Erie. Or if you want to go a bit farther, you could stay somewhere around St. Catherines, Ontario.
  8. ^ A figment of his imagination.
  9. Minimum requirement is a birth certificate and goverment issued photo ID. A drivers license alone will NOT get you through. You have to have a birth certificate. If you have a passport that alone can be used. Passport is the preffered method, and will give you the least hassle. Also, make sure you know exactly where you're going so that you can answer the customs agent properly. If they see holes in your story, then they will stop you. For instance if you were to get to customs and tell them you were going to West Edmonton Mall, they would pull you over and question you. Quite possibly deny you entry as they wouldn't believe your story.
  10. Your station is broke into programming?? What does that mean?
  11. I actually wasn't scared at all on the magical midway one. Although that probably had more due to the fact that I was totally buzzed on beer and chicken wings.
  12. How was the "ring of fire" the next day?
  13. Motors and components for old rides whose manufacture long ago went out of business are not that easy to get. I was glad to get to the park before it closed. I doubt it'll recover from this.
  14. Well it's not really a challenge. It can only end one way.
  15. How much was your bill? $10 would be the minimum she should get. Though I guess you guys aren't old enough to drink, so your tab wasn't bloated with beer. Next time why don't you try to see who can drink the most milk?
  16. Is that pronounced the way I think it is?
  17. Yeah, that'd be some of them. Or the Zamperala Volairs, wooden trick track, or tobaggons.
  18. Most uncomfortable, maybe. But I wouldn't say dumbest. The concept itself is good, it just doesn't work out all that well in most cases. I could think of many gimmicks which were "dumber" then the standup coaster.
  19. I just finally caught up on the last 6 or 7 pages. I thought it'd take me longer. Then I realized about 5-6 pages didn't even have pictures on them. I'm enjoying the TR so far Lou. Post updates when it suits you.
  20. SPOILER Saying spoiler doesn't do anything when you can already see the spoiler text when you read spoiler. END SPOILER
  21. It's not a hotel, it's a WMD.
  22. ^ Sure seemed like an inside coaster to me. Though if the park considers it a dark ride, then that would explain the marketing of the 2009 coaster.
  23. What mark did you get? But I guess it depends on how you were using "speed". With pyhsics there's many different ways to talk about acceleration/velocity/etc. If you're talking top speed, that number should be the same or close to no matter what the angle. If you talk in terms of average velocity, then it would be higher the steeper the drop. But a train shouldn't reach a higher top speed with a steeper drop. Though I did get a 27 in physics.
  24. No. It just means you get from point A to B a second or two faster. The top speed is still the same.
  25. It's eh, not ay. IF they bought a Canadian property, why would it have to be La Ronde or Wonderland? Neither of those parks would fit in as a Disney park. And I doubt Cedar Fair would drop $25 million into Wonderland and then sell the park. Besides, I thought Disney isn't interested in seasonal parks? Now if they bought something, it'd almost make more sense for them to buy something like West Edmonton Mall's Galaxyland. Small amusment park, that they could surround with Disney stores.
