  1. Maybe I caught it on a bad day, but my one visit a couple years ago was beyond bad. Bad weather, badly behaved locals, incompetent staff, etc. Basically the exact stereotype of the "bad six flags experience". Though I love GCIs, so I'll probably have to grudgingly return at some point.
  2. SFGAM over SFSTL easy. I'd choose SFGAM even without considering that my day at SFSTL was one of the worst park days I've ever had.
  3. My best guess would be those rides would be "record breakers" in the sense that they upped their count by one. So, if SFMM has the most coasters in California, adding Scream could be considered a record breaker. Kind of like how Cedar Point called Maverick a record breaker, even though it doesn't have anything new or record breaking on it. But agreed, it's all marketing hype.
  4. Kind of hard to do much of anything when you're doped up on pain meds.
  5. I use a program that runs defrag while the screen saver is running. So I rarely have to worry about doing a complete defrag. The name of the program is excaping me at the moment. That Windows system defrag program doesn't really do much at all.
  6. Nice job Chuck! I'd like to get down to BGE this year. Maybe even while TPR is there. Though I just don't know if I'll be able to manage the 10+ hour drive with $4 a gallon gas prices.
  7. Well those testing videos were probably with temps in the low 40s. It might run in those temps, but I don't think it'd be all that comfortable. The wind chill would probably be brutal. I'll gladly wait about a month before riding.
  8. ^ Those videos have already been posted in the Behemoth thread.
  9. One thing I noticed was that your drives are formatting via FAT32, instead of NTFS. Of course that's not going to mean much to you. But that would slow things down a bit. Though probably not all of a sudden like you've experienced. Nothing really you can do about that though, short of doing a complete reformat. Which really isn't worth it.
  10. How much free hard drive space do you have? I'd check that first. Because if your hard drive is low on space it will affect performance like you're experiencing.
  11. ^ Canada's Wonderland is the top seasonal park in North America. Followed by Bush Gardens Europe, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Hershey Park, SFGadv, and SFGAdm.
  12. It's actually been pretty warm the last few days. So even though there's snow on the ground, it wasn't nearly as cold as you'd think in that video. I'm sure they would have no problem testing even if the temps were below zero. Snow though would cause a problem.
  13. Well the trims wouldn't really be needed in the cold. I like what I see so far. Can't wait to see how it runs in warmer weather. Looks to go over that final bunny hill at a pretty good speed.
  14. At first glance Blackpool has basic theming. But it does have a unique charm to the park. It also has quite a few interesting dark rides. BPB and Alton were the two parks on the UK trip that I thought were real stand out parks. It'd be a shame to miss BPB. I think it's definetly worth a stop.
  15. Interesting though that Knotts is open year round, and yet still barely beats out the top seasonal parks.
  16. I went on a blind date once where I wasn't introduced, my friend's description was wrong and I didn't even know which girl was which, and to top it off I found out later I was the only one even TOLD it was a blind date. Never get setup up by a friend who's a ditz.
  17. The stock holders of Six Flags, Cedar Fair, etc would strongly disagree. Soft drinks are pretty much pure profit, and are a major form of income for the big companies. Just because a smaller park like Holiday World and Lake Compounce do it, doesn't mean that the parks with 5x as many visitors would be able to.
  18. Every park has a handful of events. Doesn't make the park "foreign friendly".
  19. Kind of too late by that point.
  20. Fixed that for ya.
  21. No. About 3 feet below depending on how tall you are. Navel is your belly button.
  22. When I was 17 I had my left earlobe peirced. That when I believe it was actually cool. I have long since removed it. There's still a mark where it used to be.
  23. ^ Get the breakfast from McDoalds, throw coffee in garbage, get coffee from Tim Hortons. Done.
  24. ^ Two more cameos I believe.
