  1. Really? Disney must be really struggling if this is one of their best franchises.
  2. I doubt Disney is going to theme a ride after such a minor movie franchise. Disney has A-list products to choose from. Why would they make a ride based off of their many Disney branded movies that they had little to do with? And a B-list and falling celebrity isn't going to convince them.
  3. Assaults can happen at any time, and anywhere. I was almost involved in a fight at Hersheypark once when we refused to let a line jumper past us. Doesn't say anything about the safety of the park though. Just one random incident.
  4. My views on the ride, and the fact that I'm somewhat of a masochist are two different things.
  5. Small, yes. But Volares aren't that cheap. And no one buys a ride without trying out existing models. And no one should buy a Volare after trying one. They're just terrible rides. I think this ride looks interesting. At least Vekoma is trying something new and interesting, instead of taking an existing idea and just making it 5 feet taller.
  6. Rule of thumb is half your age + 7 minimum.
  7. Intamin will do anything as long as they're paid enough. It's Six Flags that has to decide what to do with Collossus.
  8. That's what condo fees are for. We got buried by that storm. I woke up at 9am, took one look outside and knew I was going no where. I couldn't even see the parking lot. The maintenance company showed up mid-evening with a small army of snow blowers, pickup trucks with plows on them, ATV with plows, and one huge construction front loader to move all the snow to the courtyard. Looks like tomorow will be my first winter drive in my new car, which I just learned how to drive standard in. Hopefully I don't end up in a ditch or stuck on a hill somewhere.
  9. Well in this case you're 27, she's probably 17 or 18. So ....
  10. Bravo again Dave. Only DaveTV could amuse me more. MNSSHP was alot of fun, even if I was dealing with an alcohol crash. No amount of stomach cramps was going to keep me from multiple back seat Space Mountain rides. Not to mention the insanity which was 12 people on Splash Mountain.
  11. ^ Maybe it was closer to 300 then. All I know is that I live about 2 hours from Darien Lake, and I wasn't able to buy one. Though it was also because their online system was only setup for US orders. This might have changed by now however. I haven't tried buying a SF pass online in awhile.
  12. You might be out of luck. Or at least to get the deal price. Unless things have changed, to order SF season passes, you have to be within like 200 miles or something of one of the parks. I live in Canada, and was unable to buy one online or over the phone a few years ago. Wasn't close enough to a park. You can however buy one in person when you get to your first park.
  13. It sounds like he wants to experience culture that living in Europe would offer. Moving to Canada would be pretty much the same as if he were to stay in the US. The culture in Canada is pretty much the same as the US, only a bit colder, and more polite.
  14. You should have just bought one of those erotic penis cakes and called it a cactus. There is always a work around to any project.
  15. The whole steroids in baseball has been the worst kept secret in sports for years. Everyone knew that alot of players were juiced all along.
  16. I voted for someone else. Actually, no I didn't. I stopped reading after "You just have to register ..."
  17. I thought that mouse was the best thing at Idlewild. Made the trip out there worthwhile to me. I don't like this purchase either. Although hopefully I won't notice any difference. Or on the bright side, maybe they'll staff the park with lots of Spanish women.
  18. Well personally I thought SDC and CC were good enough to be worth the money. Well SDC at least. CC I wasn't as impressed with, though Ozark Wildcat was awesome. But it's your trip, and I'm sure you'll have a blast whatever your lineup ends up being.
  19. Maybe think about flipping those around. Getting to Valleyfair early would probably be better. Back in August we managed to get everything done in 2 hours before the crowds came in. Nick universe however, I don't think you'd really need to get there early. Also maybe consider trading Iowa and WoF for Silver Dollar City/Celebration City? (or just adding in SDC and CC). SDC is an awesome park, and should really be experienced.
  20. I'd say it's the least likely to be removed as it takes up so little space. Even if they wanted to put something there, they could always move Wildcat again elsewhere in the park. I'd think Mineride would be the most likely to go. Perhaps something like Mystery Mine could replace it?
  21. I think you misunderstood the point of this thread. This thread is about how many of the top-25 wooden coasters you've ridden from Mitch's poll.
  22. I think it's old spot was pointed out to us on our Florida trip back in October. Basically looked like a big empty field that you never would have realized a theme park used to be.
  23. That's kind of misleading though. The toilet water is probably filled with chemicals designed to kill all bacteria. Having some ice cubes with bacteria in them is going to be better then ice cubes with bleach in them.
  24. Same here. It's skycoasters which scare the living crap out of me. I've probably been on at least 10 of them, and they scare me every time.
  25. Haha. I'm all for good hygiene. However I realize there's some things which I can't control. Hell, I'm an environmental data manager. Some of the sites I work on are quite a bit more messed up then traces of fecal matter in a cup. It's probably a good thing that I have little chemistry background, so I don't REALLY know what I'm looking at.
