This ride is looking to be pretty nice. Almost makes me want to drive 14 hours out there again. -

Cheese is not optional in poutine. It's what makes it poutine. -

Besides, you can get poutine at CW or just about any fast food chain in Ontario. -

You got your pics backwards. (the thread preview flips the order of pics, even though they post in the correct order) -

Maybe, maybe not. There's quite a few B&Ms that have MCBRs that hardly slow the train down at all. -
^ That's exactly how I did it. (minus Williams Grove). Last year after meeting up with TPR at Kennywood I did Idlewild in the evening. Then the next day hit Lakemont and Delgrosso's on my way home.

I write in Canabian. True, those two parks are like minutes apart. But getting to that area from say Pittsburgh isn't as close as you'd think. When I first planned on going out that way, I originally looked at the map and thought "hey, I could hit all 3 parks in like a couple hours before Kennywood". I was quite mistaken. Well, maybe one very, very large ACEer. You pretty much need three average sized people, or two really large people. If it's a summer day then you shouldn't have too much problem finding someone.

Leap the Dips was operating in August when I was there. Are you going as a group or by yourself? Just be aware that due to the lack of upstop wheels they need a certain amount of weight in the car. So they typically need three people riding. If you showed up alone, and the park was empty you could have a problem getting on it. Also keep in mind that Idlewild, Lakemont, and DelGrosso's aren't as close as they seem. They're close distance wise, but the drive in between them is fairly slow. Quite a bit of smaller roads with lots of stop lights, etc. So you'll probably need about half a day or so to hit all three.

Italian Job already looked small next to Minebuster. But now it just looks tiny. -
I think that scrambler ride was payback for crushing you on LoCoSuMo. In that simulator pic I'm not sure if my shirt is soaked from sweat, the misters, or a combination of both. What a sticky humid day that was. And yes, I admit I suck at shooting darks rides. I'll use the excuse that I wasn't wearing my glasses. I too drove through that storm on my way home. Kind of frightening being in such a downpour in a Ford Escort wagon. My original plan after IB was to drive to Fort Wayne, get a hotel room and then continue the drive the next day. I realized on the way that I'd be in Fort Wayne by like 9, and there was no point paying to watch TV in a hotel room. So I just decided to push forward and drive all the way home. Got home at like 3am.

The Canadian in me is saying "Typical America arrogance". And the American in my is say "Hoorahh!!" -
The heat mostly got to me as Matt and I had just returned from Minnesota where it was cold and rainy. I spent 3 weekends in August in the midwest, and I thought I was going to melt every time.

Yeah, same here. I don't know if I have any pics of it, and if I do it's probably just in the background of Vortex/Skyrider pics. I haven't been on the ride in years. Edit: As I figured, these are the only two pics I have of Jet Scream. -

That's quite the creative project, and a good use of old t-shirts. Do I spot a Thrillride shirt in there? -
It's not a question of whether or not you can eat them. It's why would you want to put up with the pain? I like hot wings, but I've stopped getting suicide wings. I'd rather enjoy the wings, instead of getting something so hot that it bleaches your taste buds in two minutes.

Yeah, I think I was jumping into the picture but didn't time it right. This one gave me a flash back to high school sex ed. This part brings back quite fond memories. I loved Chicago as well. Probably is my 2nd favorite city behind London. It was so awesome just hanging out and seeing the sights. Although by the end of the day my feet were so sore. I was dieing on the walk over to Navy Pier. A couple cold pints refreshed me though. Oh and that Sponge Bob 3D movie is the one that plays in the theme parks. I've lost track of how many time's I've seen it.

Ahh, but that did start with an actual typo. I've still got that luggage tag on my Balder backpack.

Really? I think it gave me a concussion before the first drop. That raft ride was alot of fun. I remember being dry, then taking a water canon straight in the face. The rest was a blur of water. It was fun to come down and meet up with you guys. It was just what I needed.

We got a few billion years until that happens. The world will end when we blow the crap out of it ourselves.

The Discovery Channel wouldn't report such stupid "predictions".

Whatever floats your boat man.

Makes you look like a librarian. The frames are too big and boxy. Thinner smaller frames would look better. Oh and Bob ...

I just had a flashback from when I was 10, standing on some white sand beach in Florida, wearing Sunday dress clothes because my mother didn't think we'd have time to go to the beach.
