I personally prefer downloading them. For starters the streaming screen is small vs being able to watch the vids full screen after they are downloaded.

That same rumor has been buzzing around for at least seven years regarding Cedar Point- that they are going to build a parking garage on the "mainlaind" and run a shuttle service across to the park so they can use their parking lot. They were talking about this when I worked at the park in 1999 and a guy I know that is a Full Timer there insists it is still on their back burner.

I personally don't even watch the news anymore! I mean when the economy is in the toilet and the drime rate is rising and gas is at an all time high- should their top story really be "Tom-Kate's Baby?!" Even the few remaining "legitimate" newscasts have become tabloid-esque in nature!

Hands down I would have to say Sea Breeze in Rochester, NY! Its got a killer 1920 Woodie, a fairly unique wooden supported wild mouse type coaster, and a cool spinning coaster (plus a kiddie coaster). It also has the best Pirate Ship I have ever been on! It swings very VERY high! Higher than I've ever experienced! They also have Flying Scooters, an inverted looping ship thingy, a log flume with rapids, and some fun flat rides. As far as that woodie is concerned, it has the best ending of any coaster I have ever been on! Lets put it this way- you get airtime going into the station!

Blue Streak is THE oldest coaster in the park! It opened in 1964. It is my favorite ride in the entire park and imho no seat is a bad seat on that coaster, though I prefer the front seat of the last car. The park has removed much of its own History which is part of the reason I don't like the park as much as I "should." For a rare treat, stop in the Operations office next to Kiddie Kingdom and see if someone will take you up to see the Grand Ballroom upstairs. The park rarely uses it for anything- but it is an Art Deco site to behold- close your eyes and you can almost hear the Glen Miller band playing and see hundreds of swing dancers! PS: I'll throw this in here- is it odd that I prefer to sit on the right hand side of any coaster train? Does anyone else have standing preference on every coaster towards right or left?

Damn I knew I sucked! I got Volcano Blast as the result of the "What coaster are you" survey. I have never been on it- but I had the feeling that I sucked!

Yeah, so SFDL is the only Funtime Park still left under the ownership of the company that bought it! Kinda seems like SFDL will be next. They have so much land and room to grow but their potential has never been tapped. I personally liked the park more prior to Premier branding it a Six Flags Park. It used to have a nice country-western feel to it with its ride names and entertainment.

Anyone who read what was originally here- ignore it- a link was mislabled on the site I was on! But I do have a Kennywood question: What are the best places to see and things to do to really get an appreciation that it is a National Historic Landmark? And do they have a museum like Cedar Point has (had?).

Can someone help me out here? I haven't been to this park in 2 years now- I can't quite figure out where in the park this coaster is...

Robb- it is apparent that you need to make a eastern Midwest Tour here very soon! Hey you can come to Columbus and we can both try out Wyandott's Woodie together.

I don't like it! It looks too new- like it could almost be a current functional building somewhere. I like WDW's because even outside it has that old haunted look!

I myself am a sucker for carnivals. Once my ex and I were driving to his home in Toronto and we saw a Ferris Wheel off to the side of the highway coming into downtown Toronto. We drove over expecting to see a carnival but instead found that the Ferris Wheel has new automobiles on it!!!! They were filming a commercial! Wish I had gotten a picture.

I have been attempting to plan a trip to Europe for this summer or next and I have found it hard to match parks up with which city they are near. I am a visual person. A few "personals" sites that I am on have world maps with a dot where each person is from. I thought it would be cool to do something like that on here but with a dot for each park and maybe if you click on it, it will tell you which park it is. You could have either different sized dots or different coloured dots depending on how big the park is. Just a thought...any ideas?

Well hey what about this...They did Beauty & the Beast, Aida, Lion King, and now Mary Poppins on Broadway- what about a Broadway themed park?! I can see it now- Cats- the coaster- the line lasts for what seems like "now and forever." Oh, this would be cool- Starlight Express- it could be a race between a steel coaster and a wooden coaster!

True. People make of Rastus's mullet all the time (Sorry Robb and Jay. I couldn't resist) Anyways ... I don't think its really an issue of it being a "gay day" so much as meetup threads kind of clutter the boards and just bring out the worst in people. Coasterbuzz probably flamed you more because they don't allow meetup threads than because you were promoting a "gay day" event. I have previously posted for as you call it "meet-ups" on coasterbuzz- the case of last years Pride Night at PKI. This last time however I was subjected to things like "They hold it on Fathers' Day to pay tribute to the pain they caused their fathers with their lifestyle!" I've been online for over 10 years and it is unfortunate nowadays that everyone feels the need to post on every topic they see, reguardless of whether or not it has any meaning to them or not!

Volcano: Blast- which stinks because I've never been on it and don't know if its good or bad to be that coaster!
