  1. Easy. At my girlfriend's insistence, I had to wait for 30 minutes for the Dragon powered coaster at Canobie Lake in the boiling sun.
  2. One thing I've never figured out about the GP is how they determined that bigger is always better. TTD and KK are over 400 feet tall. In my opinion, neither of them are all that good. Bizarro @ SFNE and Kumba @ BGT are my top 2 favorite coasters. Yet you see endless GP comments on videos of these saying "OMG this sux king da ka is way better it goes 128 MPH" or some garbage to that effect. Most of them haven't ever been on KK; they just read somewhere that it's the fastest coaster on Earth (no longer true) and glommed onto that fact. Then they trot their information out at every opportunity in order to attempt to impress people. I worry that I sound like that when talking about things I'm not completely knowledgeable about. Please note that the misspellings in my quote are intentional and do not represent my normal grammar and style.
  3. Minecraft for me. Got a flat map and am working on a city in Creative mode.
  4. There are 287 ninjas and a donkey hiding in this post.
  5. Salutations. I'm not technically new, but I haven't been on here in about three years. I have matured greatly from the time I was last here, and I hope to be an asset to the community.
  6. I apologize for raising this post from the dead, but I needed to point out that AirCoaster is in serious need of good realistic track makers. My username is Alaeriia; I run several clubs and am very active within the community. The problem is that the "technical" makers, who still think making four pieces of track face each other like a tunnel is impressive, are trying to rule the app. They're kinda being jerks about it, too. If you have an iOS device, I suggest you buy the app.
  7. I may be bringing up something old, but it looks like SROS has the same color scheme as B:TDK. Won't that confuse people?
  8. Right. My point was that it was not Fireball, not designed by Gravity Group LLC, and not at Happy Valley.
  9. I was browsing the Happy Valley website and came across this pic. What coaster is this, where is it located, and who designed it?
  10. That's easy. You plant the tree, let it grow, then turn it upside down. You right it every so often to keep it growing properly. See?
  11. Actually, I was talking about the wheels that make the roller coaster ... well, roll. It was somewhat of a joke.
  12. I'm going to go with Supersonic Odyssey.
  13. If you want to see a more realistic movie involving coasters and death, rent Rollercoaster (the 1977 one). It has some issues, but it makes more sense (and the final bit is hilarious.)
  14. ^ It took me a moment to decipher that comment. Admittedly, "some sort of wheel system" is pretty ambiguous. In fact, don't all coasters have some sort of wheel system by definition?
  15. There are four other coasters that might be able to take last: White Canyon Son of Beast Bandit @ Movie Park Germany The RCCA woodie in South America
  16. Not many people here know this, but I like to write music for the piano. I have completed three rags so far, and would like to run them by you people. Please comment. Rags.zip Yakety Rag, inspired by Yakety Sax; Athlete's Rag, inspired by Super Mario World; Rag of the Mountain King, inspired by In the Hall of the Mountain King.
  17. So, anyway, I got an N64 emulator. I was playing Ocarina of Time on it and my dad went ballistic. As anyone who has played any Zelda game knows, Link tends to yell as he swings his sword. So my father assumed it was me yelling, arrived at the conclusion that OOT was bad for me, and demanded I get rid of the ROM and the emulator. Does this even make any sense? OOT is a classic game, one of the finest of all time; this is my first time playing through. I am in the middle of the Forest Temple; I recently got past a bug in the ROM and was satisfied at that. I don't think that just because a game features a little violence (there is no blood in OOT) means that it is "bad for me". The only conceivable problem with OOT is that it takes fifty or more hours to complete, and it is engaging. Honestly, I feel that OOT is good for me; it encourages creative problem-solving and the use of the tools at hand, not to mention the satisfaction derived from rooting out every last secret in the game. What do you think?
  18. I don't think you can patent that; it seems like it would be an "obvious" innovation.
  19. I got my first taste of the AwesomeBar today. (The AwesomeBar is FF3's URL bar.) I typed in "http://www.t" and TPR popped up. How did it know?
  20. Remove some of the "small" scenery objects.
  21. Well, Firefox 3 (a web browser) hasn't come out just yet, but it is supposed to today. I pledged to download it today, and I will. What do you people think of Firefox?
  22. That is awesome. Someone should incorporate that idea into a park. Lunatim did "Puzzle Park" in RCT1 (find all 16 watermarks), but an Alternate Reality Game-type park would be awesome.
  23. 1) Steel. 2) Lift hill. 3) None. 4) Several ejector hills, insane air on the final hills, overbanked turn, helix, a double-down, maybe a Stengel Dive. 5) Intamin Hyper (At least 200 feet tall, no max height)
  24. I've never been to Great Adventure, but I can give general tips. First, get a FlashPass. This will help a lot, even though it costs extra. Second, get to the new, big-ticket rides (in this case, KK and El Toro) first. These will be mobbed all day. Use the FlashPass properly (i.e. reserve a ride, wait for another ride, ride first ride.) In terms of being able to get every credit, it depends. Sometimes coasters break down.
