  1. I was at the park today. I spoke with the FlashPass crew and confirmed how Wicked Cyclone will work with the Platinum FlashPass. It will be Platinum-exclusive, allow unlimited rides, but no double rides. You'll have to reserve it again each time. I'd post images, but I didn't take any photos...
  2. How about something that doesn't involve shooting at stuff for once?
  3. I'd just like to point out that RMC are taking their lead from SFMM here. If SFMM wanted a dual-tracked, full-length Colossus revamp, they would have commissioned that from RMC. Instead, they wanted a self-racer (for lack of a better word.) This coulda-woulda-shoulda stuff is rather pointless. Let's leave what might be to the NL2/RCT3 set and focus on what we have: a kickass ride with real airtime. Just saying.
  4. Which means it won't duel after opening summer, in line with SFMM's tendencies.
  5. Opening Day was a mess. How bad was it? Batman broke down.
  6. I will be at SFNE tomorrow. I'll be the one marathoning Bizarro wearing a T-shirt with "Alaeriia" on it.
  7. I will be at SFNE on Opening Day. Anyone else going on Saturday?
  8. A random thought: So far, there have been two B&M gigacoasters built. Leviathan at Canada's Wonderland and Fury 325 at Carowinds. So far, there have been four B&M hypercoasters with staggered seating built: Behemoth at Canada's Wonderland, Intimidator at Carowinds, Diamondback at Kings Island, and Shambhala at PortAventura. The latter is not a Cedar Fair park, so we can ignore it for the time being. Two of the three remaining V-seat B&M hypers are at parks that later built a B&M giga. The third is Kings Island. Granted, this probably means nothing, but it's an interesting coincidence.
  9. For me, I would say that the biggest letdown was Top Thrill Dragster. However, this could be due to the fact that I rode Maverick immediately previous...
  10. Awesome to see Action Park returning to its roots.
  11. I'll be there Opening Day with a shirt that says "Alaeriia" on it, if anyone cares. Also, one of the nice things about Cyclone's refurb (besides the RMC goodness) was that while the thing was closed, that part of the park was quiet enough to have a conversation without yelling.
  12. The Coney Island Cyclone. And what a ride!
  13. I think it's Troy. It does look like Troy. Not sure why SF would choose a picture of a coaster halfway across the world, though...
  14. Bizarro and Millennium force are the biggest ones that I can think of that do that.
  15. There's a good view from the bridge crossing from I-84 to Agawam. I sometimes get hung up in the view and miss the exit onto the rotary, requiring me to turn around at the next exit.
  16. Wallet Keys Phone If it can't fit in a zippered pocket, it's not coming with me.
  17. 1989... A good year. Magnum XL-200 Great American Scream Machine (the Arrow one) Tower of Terror @ Camelot Theme Park (Scorpion clone) ... and Goudurix. Can't win 'em all, folks...
  18. First: Bizarro @ SFNE Last: Bizarro @ SFNE I also rode the thing about 450 other times this year.
  19. I've had an entire train to myself on the Coney Island Cyclone and Kumba.
  20. I spend far more time transferring trains in NL2 than anyone really should.
  21. As far as I can tell, the reason for Goliath's roughness lies in the train design. The rolling stock looks ill-equipped to handle any lateral or axial rotation, leaving that to the actual seat dampers.
  22. Personally, I do either hands-up or just relaxed.
  23. My short list of things needing the RMC treatment: Mean Streak Boss GhostRider Predator @ Darien Lake The Beast
