Hey, I like PKI's coasters! We'll be there on tuesday the 30th pretty much all day and then hopefully on friday for a few hours in the morning. It'll be good to get back to the park, we haven't been since 04. Hopefully SOB will be back from rehab. I'm really curious to see how it's running. It'll be cool going to KI this month and KD in august. I can't wait! -Don -

Chris pretty much covered the specifics...quite well I might add! I've only ridden twice, both times in the front, but I thought the ride was amazing. Yes, you get kicked in the chest and yes, the top hat will throw you into Mt. Fuji, so you definatly should prepare yourself beforehand. Don't go expecting Dragster! Everything that's been said I agree with. The queue is kinda lame, the "Do Don Pa" succeded in hypnotizing me, and the waits can get bad. That being said the launch is way extreme, and the 'air drop' just after kicks ass! Just the fact that it actually doesen't launch into a top-hat like just about every other launch coaster blows my mind. You should definately go out there and check it out for yourself! Oh, I had a night ride in the front in january with a 27 degree temp. Thank god I was able to keep my gloves on! My eyes would have watered up but they were frozen! -Don -

This ride looks awesome. Hopefully they can pull through and get it open by the second week of June. It really reminds me of a suspended alpine coaster, which just makes me want to ride it even more! I'd be most grateful to anyone who can score more pictures! -Don -

Just going to bump this real quick. I'm getting ready to edit some more POV's and I just wanted to know if you all liked the format of the last disc. If you have any other suggestions, such as song ideas () post them here! -Don -

That's cool you guys had a good day despite the rain. I was pretty suprised with PKD's Grizzly. It's only about a million times better than ours (PGA). With luck Monica and I will be at PKD in august sometime. Hopefully we'll be able to get our Hypersonic ride this time! In the mean time we'll have to settle for PKI at the end of this month. Yay Son of Beast!! -Don -

Great pictures you guys! I'm glad that you got a cool new ride at your home park. By the way, I'm having trouble finding a good translation for "Dagen er Din" Can I get a little help from my Norge friends? -Don "Riding the 'monster' next month!" Garrison -

Are you sure you weren't in Beirut? After seeing that my trip to the watts towers looks like a resort vacation. That was some scary stuff there man. -

Wow, I'm really glad everyone is enjoying Dude so much! Thanks for the review Katie, it was great! I've finally gotten around to sorting through all of the new footage shot so far this year. Wally even got to check out a very early rough cut of some stuff I'm working on. I'm still quite a ways off from any new releases, but rest assured all of your favorite segments and characters will be returning along with lots of new faces! If anyone has any questions or comments on anything go ahead and post them here. All of the reviews and feedback so far have been great you guys. Thanks for all of your support! -Don -
While Europe may have less coasters overall I usually have a better time at parks over there. For example, Ride of Steel is a great ride but i'd rather be at say Parc Asterix instead of Six Flags America. I'd also agree with the "grass is greener" argument too. -Don

Wow, they nailed it on this design. This blows away all of the other facade themes. I'm pretty sure there are only three shafts. The center arch doesn't have elevator doors. Instead there is more broken glass effect and smaller doors behind it. http://www.dlrp.fr/actulargeasia.php?id=48 This page has a close-up of the 3 arches. I'm totally going out there next year! -Don -

Yeah, I'm still not with him on the cost but that's on him to make it work. Something to think about: Day 1 Drive out to Bowling Green. You probably won't need that much time at Beech Bend. Also you'd be about the same distance from Holiday World as you'd be in Louisville. Stay somewhere in that area that night and go out to Santa Claus in the morning. Day 2 HW and then drive back to Louisville for the night. Day 3 hit SFKK in the morning before you drive home. You absolutely do not need two days at this park. By going to BB beforehand and SFKK last you'll also have less of a drive that evening. Personally if I only had 3 days including driving this is what I would do. The drive down is about the same as the distance from my house to SoCal and I do that drive all the time. Be sure to post a TR so we all know how this worked out! -Don -

Jeezus Juice replied to Reality15's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Driving to Holiday World from MI is only about 420 miles each way which should normaly only take about 6 hours. It looks like you can stay on highway the entire way as long as you go through Louisville. Of course that means that you can stop off at SFKK on the way. Bonus park! The trouble with Holiday World is that there really isn't a lot in terms of accomidations in the area if you're looking to stay cheap. The best bet may be to stay in Louisville and drive out to the park for a day and then drive back. Holiday World will save you on cash with their free parking/soda/waterpark/sunscreen/ect... Plus if you haven't been there before (or heck, even recently) I'd pick that! You can drive out, stay 2 nights in louisville, hit the parks, and make it back home right around your budget. If you want to save even more there is a KOA right across the river from Louisville in Indiana that I've stayed at before. If you don't mind sharing a tent with grannie! -Don -

I'd just drive out to the Dells. You haven't been there (from what I could tell) the parks are cheap and really good, plus there is all kinds of nature junk for siteseeing purposes. If you take the highway you'll pass right by SFGAm on the way. If you'd rather not drive through Chicago (ugh) there is ferry service from Muskegon to Milwaukee for $130 R/T. You could even stop off at Little America in one of the creepiest small towns in America. Also there are tons of caves in the area that offer tours. Given your budget and your location that's what I would do. You might want to increase your budget a bit or bring a credit card just incase you need something...gas/hotel/coaster t-shirt -Don -

It took me just over a week to recieve a form by e-mail to fax back to them with my credit card infromation. I faxed that back last week and I've yet to hear from them. I hope everything got to them ok! Hope that helps! -Don "In the same boat" Garrison

You know, with all of this talk about incresed guest service/more characters ect it seems what the park really needs is a lot of these rides that were taken out over the years. I would gladly trade Scream, Deja Vu, Viper, and the woodies for a dark ride, sky way, another dark ride, and a train! Thanks for the pictures, definately a weird find. Funny, I found an exact replica of the Pele' statue from the Tikiroom preshow in Big Lots last week. If only it wasn't $30. Although I bet a Disneyfan would pay about $200 for it on ebay! -Don -
Isn't this exactly the same as the new 'Avatar' ride at PKI this year? As far as I know zamperla only makes the one size. I'm pretty sure the two are going to be the same, just marketed differently. If anyone knows more please correct me. Awesome pics Rick! That was so funny you rode by yourself...stalker! I'll be there on wednesday to get my spin on. Holla at me if you get a lunch break. -Don

Wow! Great pictures! You know, Voyage is probably going to be great and Toro will probably blow us away but I am in awe of the craftsmanship on this ride. Sorry if I'm tooling it up too much but after looking at how they're layering the wood track I'm just shocked at all of the work that's going to go into this project. IMO they can take all the time they need and I'll be heading out there the minute they get done. Well, maybe a week after they get done...just in case! -Don "Totally into wood" Garrison -

Why didn't I think of that!! I spent all that time in awesome japan when I could have been hanging out in valencia instead!! SFMM even has a Panda Express and a Ninja coaster. It's basically the same exact thing!! Yeah Wally, screw japan! Let's go stay at the Holiday Inn Express instead! eathe: Awesome pictures Chris! I never would've thought to bring my own hardhat and just wander around the site! That's awesome! I'm kinda sad seeing my Ice Skating pond replaced with all of that water...what's the point of that?! That full/full looks incredible. The half/half's are disorienting enough, I can't wait to try this one! -Don
