  1. actually "most" people call them Busch Gardens and Busch Gardens
  2. I believe it is Big Stevie Cool and the BWO
  3. who is on the right? Is that one of the Fantanas?
  4. Carnage pretty much covers the major parks along the way (not counting single credits for the whores out there). You will also pass close to Little A-Merrick-A in Madison,WI between the Dells and Chicago but it is a whole. The only other thing I'd point out is that you you possible stop by Camden Park in West Virginia. Always good to try an ACE classic coaster.
  5. It is unclear if the origin of the term Dark Continent (which has been used for centuries) is in reference to the mystery of unknown nature of Africa to outsiders and/or a reference by westerners to skin color of native Africans. In all likelihood both factors contributed to the term Dark Continent long before Augustus Busch ever started brewing beer. Personally, I think the new name should be: Busch Gardens: Edge of Africa and they should go back the The Old Country (or Back to Old Europe)
  6. at Mt Olympus' the best go-kart track is Medusa's Drop, airtime on a go-kart rules. Don't waste your time on the Water coaster (Dive to Atlantis) at Mt. Olympus, unless there is absolutely no line. Capacity is only about 70-80 people per hour. Cyclops has that one great drop which produces the single most airtime I have ever experienced in the back seat. Avalanche is one of my top 5 woodies and Hades is also in my Top 10. I prefer the back for completey out of control rides with a lot of action. Even though you are not asking for tips, I'll remind you that discounted MtO electronic tickets can be purchased on their website. Also the nighttime wristband is all you have to get for TimberFalls. Don't expect good food at MtO but there are plenty of options in Wisconsin Dells
  7. only 4, and 3 were purchased only because they were on sale Cedar Point Holiday Wood Lumber Company Idlewild Park Knoebels - Phoenix I also have a Magic Mountain windbreaker (also bought on sale)
  8. Pretty much any thread can get 350+ hits So why do a poll if you agree you can not get your answer in this manner?
  9. I voted for Great Bear because I didn't think anyone else would vote for it. And I was right
  10. I've been on all but Vortex at PGA and I like Riddlers Revenge best and Georgia Scorcher next. Again all Best/Favorite "this and that" polls are useless unless everybody responding his been on all coasters. Therefore Mitch's Poll is the best source for the real answer
  11. OK you guys have done it. I want to meet the irresponsible parent who signs over guardianship of their 15 year old to you guys on a future TPR trip. Great stuff Lou - your summation of that picture that appears to have your head superimposed is a good one
  12. Yes, that's what I have been told. I believe the last person added on to the trip has the responsibility for carrying around dirty laundry.
  13. Sasquatch: The Ride - that's the name I'm betting on.
  14. Wow, I might just buy one in memory of my father who worked for the NYC Transit Authority.
  15. Nicole We are all just roadies on the R&E UK tour. R&E are the ones being stalked.
  16. I didn't like them when I was your age either. I had a couple of Guinness' tonight - Nectar of the Gods
  17. Knoebels, Indiana Beach and Kennywood are some of my favorite parks
  18. Launches are intense being glued to the back of the seat and all, but I'd much rather be flying out of my seat on a great drop.
  19. Shoot me - but I just can't get into Pale Ale's
  20. is there really a need to bump a thread that has gone a whole 18 minutes without a post? ESPECIALLY IF IT IS A STICKY THREAD
  21. it looks like you still have a problem with using the search function on TPR. Click on the search icon on the top of this page and type in "SFNO"
  22. Hades is my favorite runner-ups include The Beast, Loch Ness Monster and although the coaster blows I like the tunnel through the quarry wall on The Rattler @ SFFT.
  23. Mark Was that the flume at the South end of the Boardwalk that had the big plexiglass splash walls at the bottom of the last hill to guarantee a drenching for the riders.
