  1. My niece rode MF last May at age 9 and loved it, so don't worry about your age. I love both coasters for different reasons. MF for power and speed. Magnum for air especially in the last row or the ejector row (3rd row of 1st car) with practically no wait. If you buy on-ride photos Magnum is great also because a family of 4 neatly fits in one picture.
  2. similar to John Fogerty ripping off Creedence Clearwater Revival!
  3. In my opinion nothing is very good at Great Escape. I found The Comet to be a BIG disappointment. It's a good woodie coaster but barely makes my Top 20. They run their Rainbow pretty well.
  4. It was pouring rain half of the day I was at IB also, but I loved it. The only drawback to me is the sub-par food selection (unless you like generic tacos).
  5. I was totally impressed with the way IB runs their flats and the potential winds off the lake created wild rides on the YoYo and Air Crow. I loved Cornball and Hossier Hurricane. I enjoy LoCoSoMo more then most people and the Haunted House is classic.

    Vegas

Circus Circus is a good excuse to get the strippers off your case at the finer Gentlemen's establishments. Example: Sasha: "Wanna dance?" Larry: "no thanks" Sasha: "Come on big boy why not? Where are you staying in town?" Larry: "Circus Circus" Sasha: "Oh!" (gets up and runs to the next available lap) names have been changes to protect the innocent
  7. forgot to post mine after voting, here is how I list the ones I've been to: 1 - SFGAdv 2 - SFMM 3 - SFoG 4 - SFGAm 5 - SFA 6 - STStL 7 - SFFT 8 - SFNE 9 - LaRonde 10 - SFDL 11 - SFKK 12 - Great Escape The first 4 are far above the others I've been to. Many of these parks I've only been to once so you never know if I hit it on a good or bad day.
  8. also you should seriously consider Indiana Beach, personally I think Valleyfair blows also.
  9. BINGO - that's your answer
  10. it is a honeymoon trip and HersheyPark does have the Kissing Tower
  11. With limited time and finances, Dorney would only be worth the stop if the had a pass from a sister park. You can't go wrong with any of the other three: HersheyPark, Kennywood, Knoebels. All are great for atmosphere. HersheyPark - best coaster variety line-up of the group Kennywood - very nostaglic, good coasters, one of a kind flats Knoebels - also very nostalgic, very laid back, best run and unique flats, great wooden coasters, birch beer You just need your husband to promise a return trip on a future anniversary for the ones you skip.
  12. I got in Lakemont for $1.95 on Labor Day Sunday and that included a free BBQ. I'm pretty sure they didn't make any money off of me. FYI - The BBQ food (burgers and dogs) was horrible and I drove up to DelGrossos for pizza later in the day. Personally I'd like if SF offered a "gold" parking pass for let's say $50 that was good for all SF parks.
  13. first off congrats I'd say blow off PKD and hit two of the following three Kennywood, HersheyPark and Knoebels. All three have great atmosphere and Knoebels and Kennywood are nostalgia nirvana. Don't bother with Geauga Lake
  14. I have a hard time seeing this enforced at SFKK and SFoG
  15. The front rows are smoother than the back rows. An empty train is shakier/bouncier than an full train. Yes, some people have problems. If one is able to stand up straight and keep their legs straight it is not a problem, some younger people have trouble with that. I say it is not a pain but many will disagree.
  16. Hey Joe - you are going to make a lot of enemies with that statement. Burritos Brothers is not a silly burrito placehttp://www.burritobros.com
  17. X - yes, it was open and I thoroughly enjoyed it
  18. Ok, world, can you really see Elissa and I "Hitch-Hiking"?!?! --Robb Does riding in the back seat of a stranger's car count as a credit?
  19. merci beaucoup

    CP questions

I was there the same weekend Saturday afternoon through Tuesday afternoon. The TTD line was that empty but only because TTD was closed most of the time. However MF was never less than a 75-90 minute wait.

    CP questions

I wasn't planning on going back this year, I was planning on getting a Dorney pass. I think I'll be making the trip every other year with my niece, sister and brother-in-law meaning 2007. If I do end up with a Dorney pass I might stop at CP on the way back from my Beech Bend/Holiday World trip around Labor Day.
  23. Millennium Force - 3 Apollos chariot - 14 S:ROS (SFNE) - 1 X - 41 TTD - 22 KK - 20 Nitro - 6 S:ROS - (SFDL) - 12 S:ROS - (SFA) - 9 Magnum XL-200 - 44 I'm with Park Trips, I'm almost done conquering America, on to the rest of the world, starting with the UK.
  24. I think most people choose Spanish as a langauae to study in High School because they hear it is the easiest. Personally, my Junior High School and High School afforded French, Spanish and Italian. I opted for French to be different.
