  1. I don't know what you all are complaining about, it looks better to me.
  2. It's amazing how quickly human built structures deteriorate without people around to take care of them. Absolutely amazing. It's sad to see a park get sold off like this, but in the end business is business, and as much as we would like to think otherwise, we'll see this happen many more times.
  3. The problem with this is that you'd need an enormous amount of this genetically altered bacteria to meet America's gas needs, and consequently an enormous amount of land for these 'bacteria farms' and an enormous amount of money to pay for them. Not saying it can't be done, just saying it would require an enormous amount of approval from the public and an enormous amount of funding, and we've all seen how hard it is to get sufficient funding or approval for controversial solutions to the energy crisis. As for the worries of them escaping and and destroying crops, I doubt it. It sounds like these bacteria can only feed on dead plant matter, not living. As for the possibility of them infecting people, most bacteria are harmless, so the answer would probably be no. Doesn't this sound like ethanol repackaged? Yes, I understand gasoline has more chemical energy than ethanol, but still, wouldn't this encounter the same barriers as ethanol? Just my thoughts on this article, that's all.
  4. Great TR! Nice to see you had a great time at Kennywood. Can't say I agree with you on that, but hey, some people just don't like a 'mouse-in-a-box'.
  5. Total parks so far: Kennywood (1x) Hersheypark (1x) Parks to come: Trimper's Rides Lakemont Delgrosso's Do ghetto fairs count?
  6. Great TR. Glad to see you had fun at Kennywood. Darn straight it is! It's probably the worst ride at Kennywood.
  7. Well, it looks like Kennywood may have a bright future after all. I wonder if this deal is making Cedar Point nervous.
  8. ^ Chuck Norris could chuck 10^100 board feet of wood, no sweat! What would happen if Chuck Norris fought Captain Falcon?
  9. On my way back from the orthodontist I noticed the Murrysville VFD was holding a carnival, so I decided to satisfy my curiosity and check out later that night. Enjoy! Here's another picture of the ferris wheel. Thanks for reading. I'm nauseous, get me out of here! A Scrambler, which I also didn't ride. They also had a Fun Slide, which I didn't feel like doing. Then it was off to Zero Gravity, the worst named Super Round Up on earth. Next up, the Hurricane! The stupid thing almost broke my femur. The bottom half featured an insane mirror maze. Next, Monkey Maze! Almost worth the two dollars I spent on it. I almost puked after riding this. Up next, Dizzy Dragons! Here I am, about ready to get my butt kicked by the inverter ship. First ride of the night: a ghetto a$$ swinging inverter ship. I didn't even bother to ride it. Is this a credit I see? Unfortunately, it's powered, so no. And of course, no ghetto fair would be complete without the most painful carnival ride ever conceived, the Hurricane! They also had this ghetto ferris wheel. They had one of these stupid train things there. ^ The fair was pretty small, as this and the next picture will testify. Yay, we made it! Time for some good old fashioned carnival fun! We had to wait for this monster of a storm to pass before going to the fair.
  10. LMAO! I love how true this is. Like I always say to other people, 99.9% of all amusement park accidents are caused by 1% of the the people who visit them, and that 1% is made up of the troublemakers who are too freaking stupid to follow safety rules.
  11. This is a shame. If your not going to use your metal detectors correctly, don't use them at all! Otherwise your just wasting people's time and making a fool of your security force.
  12. I'm going to a ghetto fair tonight, woohoo!
  13. Great random TR. I love your witty captions. This reminds me of the time an apartment complex north of me caught fire and was badly damaged. It was a big fire, too; I could smell the smoke from it, and that says a lot, considering I live about a mile away from the site. Amazingly, nobody was injured (to my knowledge).
  14. I really like HUSS Frisbees. Those things are awesome!
  15. I'm going to Philmont in August. Maybe I can bring back some good pictures as well.
  16. I just woke up from a nap and boy, did I have a weird dream. I dreamed I was in the middle of the mine car scene from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, but instead of the track being rickety old mine track, it was Mack wild mouse track with block brakes and drive tires. Weird, huh?
  17. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull struck me as being a little weird, but it didn't seem too out of place in Indy's world of lost arks with unspeakable power, super-powered stones, and holy grails that grant immortality.
  18. I agree as well. That tunnel really adds a lot to an otherwise forceless coaster.
  19. I've ridden Dueling Dragons about 10 times in a row. It was during the off-season, so there wasn't really any line for it.
  20. I love TR's of little known, ghetto parks like Gorky. Thanks for sharing this, Groteslurf.
  21. That's kind of small for a rocket coaster, reminds me of Rita: Queen of Speed. Nonetheless, it looks like it should be fun.
  22. This doesn't surprise me. Disney isn't going to waste time building AA's that another company can build just as well. They're going to focus on building the complicated stuff. Even that will probably be outsourced eventually, Disney can't stay on top of the AA industry forever.
  23. I better get off the computer before the impending severe thunderstorm fries it.
