Mean Streak has to be the worst death machine I've ever rode. Anaconda is second, and Shockwave (KD) is third.

It was open and closed on and off since last June, it finally closed in October when the hydroxide fluid sprayed people. Why on earth would a Vekoma Invertigo need hydroxide?! Did you mean to say "hydraulic"? I hope so, otherwise those people who got sprayed are running around with chemical burns.

Actually, I HAVE been on Montezooma's Revenge and GhostRider (only a little rough, not as bad as people said it was). The only thing I don't like about Silver Bullet is that your feet are dangling. The only ride that I have been on where my feet were dangling was Soarin', and that ride was tame. I might have to do Silver Bullet. GhostRider, Xecelrator, and Silver Bullet are the three big coasters at Knott's. Sadly, GhostRider's closed and I hate Xcelerator, so Silver Bullet's my only big coaster to ride. Don't worry about about your feet. B&M restraints are really secure; you don't even remotely feel like your going to fall out. In fact, the only difference between inverted and regular coasters is that you can swing your legs back and forth, otherwise it feels the same. I used to be in the same situation as you; asking if a ride is scary, are the restraints snug, etc. In fact, I used to have coaster-phobia (Does anybody know the proper term?); you couldn't even get me to ride a small woodie. Eventually I overcame my fears and discovered just how awesome coasters are. Now, there isn't a coaster in existence that I'll hesitate to ride.

Leprechauns! Leprechauns are what made Sidewinder valley! But seriously, I hope my visit Monday is maintenance problem free. Last thing I want to happen is miss out on a credit because Fahrenheit or Sidewinder valleyed.

That trap door thing must be terrifying. I know I would be nervous.

I've always felt that the Phantom's Revenge at Kennywood is just a tad underrated. I mean, I've been to Cedar Point and ridden Millennium Force and all, but I still haven't found a coaster that's noticeably better than the good old Phantom. I know one's out there though, I'll just have to keep traveling to various parks in order to find it.

I live about 15 miles or 21 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh.

My cousin used to live in New Jersey and this was one of the parks he'd often go to. He said he thought the park was crappy and that the people there were rude. Unfortunately, that was back when Six Flags was under their crappy old management, so his opinion probably no longer applies. El Toro looks sweet. Yay for Intamin prefabs!

Kennywood Park Management: -Kennywood is generally good about keeping the lines moving. The only rides that have slow moving lines on a regular basis are the Aero 360, Cosmic Chaos, Exterminator, and Garfield's nightmare. - The park can get crowded on the weekends, so beware. Otherwise, it's typically light. - The exterminator typically has the longest line in the park, so be sure to ride it right around opening time or a little before closing when the crowd dies down. -Rides and coasters continue to operate in light to moderate rain as long as it isn't storming. Ride Recommendations: - The Phantoms Revenge A Morgan/Arrow hybrid hypercoaster. Features a 160 ft. tall first drop and a 228 ft. second drop into a ravine and through the Thunderbolt, also features extreme ejector towards the end of the ride. Highly rated among enthusiasts. - Pitt Fall A 250 ft. tall Intamin drop tower with a black and gold paint scheme. Nothing too special about it, just yummy Intamin goodness. -Swingshot A typical S&S screamin' swing. Fairly intense and gives a good, fun ride. - Ghostwood Estate (New for 2008) A well-themed interactive dark ride that utilizes ETF Mystic Movers and excellent theming by Halloween Productions. Features a decent pre-show. Not very scary, although there is a startle or two (Watch out for the bookcase). - The Racer, Jackrabbit, and Thunderbolt The park's three wooden coasters. *The Racer is a racing coaster. The Racer features a mobius layout: a train will return to the station on the opposite side from which it left. *The Jackrabbit is one of the oldest coasters in the world and has a unique double-dip that provides good airtime. *Finally, the Thunderbolt features high laterals and a nice big 90 ft. drop into the same ravine as the Phantom's Revenge, whose track passes through it and doubles as a head-chopper. Food Recommendations: -Potato Patch Freakin' good fries, some of the best around. Other notes: Kennywood has a unique, anachronistic feel to it. It features many historic, last-of-their-kind rides and is one of only two amusement parks to be designated a national historic landmark.

Well yeah, obviously, but what got me was that the original post was so vague that I couldn't figure out its purpose or meaning. So, they're building some kind of funhouse, eh? Sounds interesting.

ACErland! Everything at ACErland is over sized to accommodate guests of exceptional blubberiness. ACErland features world-class attractions such as Buffet Bonanza, a darkride that awards the winner with a ticket to the park's 24/7 all-you-can-eat ACE-style buffet! Other rides include the Gravytron, a B&M Dive Machine with over sized seats that has a gravy splashdown effect at the end. There are also plenty of fun games to play, like...

What's the point of this?

^Good to see that HP isn't stacking their trains like CP does with Maverick. I'm going to Hershey Park this weekend, so it's nice to know about expected wait times and such before I get there. HP is also where I'm going to ride my 50th credit. Any suggestions as to what it should be?

Absolutely awesome pictures of Kennywood. You've truly captured the essence of Kennywood, congrats. Speaking of Kennywood and the Phantom's Revenge, does anybody know if Morgan heart lines their track? I'd really like to know.

Looks great. Another reason for me to go back to Orlando (besides seeing a space shuttle launch before 2010) sometime in the next two years. Anheuser-Busch is extremely good about theming their attractions, so the theming should be nothing short of amazing, although the actual ride itself doesn't seem like it's going to be too intense.

Where have I seen this mouse before? Hmmm... Ahh, yes. These mouse soldiers adorned both the entrance and exit of Schiff-built wild mouse coasters. I'm taking a guess then that Trimper's had a Schiff Wild Mouse sometime in the past, did it not?

I wonder if there are any random, obsessed ACErs out there who want to buy the thing. I mean, it's cheap enough.

^ I'm sorry, I read through his post quickly and didn't catch the sarcasm. Good point, wooden coasters do tend to outlive their steel brethren in terms of popularity, or at least longevity.
