  1. Well sounds like it will still retain the record as the world's scariest launch then.
  2. I have to give Flashback credit. It rides better than a lot of other boomerangs considering how it's one of the old ones.
  3. I actually prefer Wild Eagle in the back. That drop is really good back there. I'd say try both so you can form your own opinion.
  4. That is one of the best ride signs I've seen. Really looking forward to visiting the park this summer.
  5. I can't wait for my chance to ride Lightning Rod in just over a month. Each one of these reviews is getting me more and more excited. I agree Goliath is a very good hyper. Other than the two gigas, my favorite B&M hypers are the two Goliaths which are smaller but hold their speed better.
  6. I don't get all of the hate for Mach Tower. The ride gave a great view and I found the drop was almost as good as an Intamin tower. I know it had Lightning Rod syndrome opening year but I do enjoy that ride.
  7. Unfortunately the park has removed many of the trees to the left of the lift, but the ride itself is still a very good wooden coaster. The only time I've ever had to wait for Intimidator is when I've decided to spoil myself with a front row ride, which is definitely worth it just once in my opinion.
  8. Sounds like they put a lot of detail into this attraction, which is to be expected of Disney, but as a Marvel fan it sounds like they put plenty of eye candy in the attraction for me. It will be so weird not having the Twilight Zone theme though. I'm having a hard time imagining hearing some of those songs during the drops, but then again I would have said the same thing about most of the soundtrack from Guardians 1.
  9. That one looks like it has a higher capacity than the other Star Flyer models. These are great additions for any park.
  10. After I got a haircut yesterday morning, I saw a trailer pass with the unmistakable dragon train of a Dragon Wagon. I followed that trailer onto the highway since I had to go that way anyway. When it was time for my exit, I considered for a brief moment to continue following the Dragon Wagon but decided against my whorish thoughts.
  11. Just think, some of the pop music from today could be classics in like 10 years too. I'm excited to see them putting the ride back to Space Mountain. As others have said, the Star Wars overlay was a cool experience, but the Michael Giacchino sound track is too perfect to not be used.
  12. Absolutely amazing video! That video got me even more amped up for my return trip in June.
  13. It doesn't matter what time of day we've tried to make it through that stretch, we have always hit traffic. Midday, sure that makes sense. But we got stuck in an hour of traffic at midnight since they did roadwork in the dumbest manner possible. They reduced everyone down to one lane. Traffic was flowing. They then opened it up to all lanes for a 2-3 mile stretch only to compress it back down again, which caused another nightmarish merge. People say Southern California is bad. Honestly in my 3 trips there, traffic hasn't been anything like the area around DC.
  14. Glad to see the park improving their flat ride collection.
  15. Literally this, but on a metal stand I believe: I'm not sure of the exact objective of the game, but I'd imagine you have to get the bottle to land upright a certain number of times. Very stupid, imo I thought my town was insane for having this as a youth group activity. Guess this really is a trendy thing right now. Nothing says fun like flipping water bottles.
  16. I always thought the first few drops on Blue Streak looked like they could give some good air, but the Home Depot description seems so fitting. I feel like that applies to Lakemont too for their woodies.
  17. Last year I was at the park on a Saturday during the late June heat wave when it was triple digits. Doubt the heat will reach those levels, but lines were walk-ons for everything except the headlining coasters (Twisted Colossus, X2, Full Throttle, & Tatsu) and the VR New Revolution. Not bad for a Saturday.
  18. I got a taste of what a good cycle would be like on a similar ride, Canobie's Equinox (KMG Tango). However, the ride was closed as often as Chick-fil-a is on Sundays. It was a shame since the park ran a really long cycle and that was an incredibly intense flat.
  19. Discovery Kingdom's Medusa is my favorite floorless. I absolutely love the long straight drop and the rest of the layout has a nice mix of smooth inversions. Dominator is really fast and forceful, but it's missing my favorite element on a floorless, the zero-G roll.
  20. haha...Yeah, you're welcome. It took me a while to figure that one out too. I had the opposite problem. I couldn't figure out how to add the tunnel until I figured out that option. I also am so thankful I found the option to turn off supports in some areas. The supports on giga coasters were getting out of hand.
  21. Fuddruckers is my favorite burger place. Where else can I get a juicy 1 lb burger? I am also a huge fan of burgers on pretzel buns. Actual burgers. Not the stuff from Wendy's but from a good local restaurant.
  22. ^ I thought each turn would only be replaced by like a 2 second clip from a SLC, not the entire POV of a SLC. I stopped after the first one. I have no clue where someone even came up the idea with a video like that
  23. No, I have the magical ability to kill any plant I touch. Do you like Dave & Buster's?
