  1. Diskos are one of the cooler looking flats out there and the park crowds are drawn in by them.
  2. I've gotten rides on Steel Force of varying intensity. I've had some rides where it absolutely crawls through the layout but there have been a few random rides (usually in the evening) where the ride flies over the hills and gives much stronger air.
  3. Just curious, did the park's free fly run at all today? SFNE's was down after the one at SFOT valleyed.
  4. Meanwhile they had another launch coaster built in the past 20 years that closed after just a few years of operation.
  5. Looking at the coaster, there isn't much of a height differential between the lift and the tops of those first few hills. I can see how it valleyed there with the high headwinds the park mentioned.
  6. ^ What a great sign. I'm glad I waited to drive there. Honestly at this point, I think I have a better chance to ride Lightning Rod in 3 weeks before I get on a Joker coaster . SFGAdv's was down all 3 days I visited last year and now SFNE's seems to have run into a little hiccup on preview weekend.
  7. I admittedly liked Thunderbolt more than most people so I'm interested to see how this turns out. The forces on Thunderbolt were great and I only found one part that was uncomfortable.
  8. If Cobra could somehow be retrofit with floorless trains, maybe it would be worth saving. If not, I can't see it worth relocating since all reviews said it was a really rough ride.
  9. I'll wait for the expansion franchise known as Iron Hurler or whatever they name it.
  10. Whoa that's a really cool idea for a drop tower.
  11. ^ Was the VR appearing to work well for everyone else? SFNE's had some trouble on their Mind Eraser's VR but it seems to have gotten sorted out. I'm stunned by your review of Wild One. That ride was really smooth and had plenty of airtime in my visit a few years back. It was the best ride in the park for me (Superman was down that day).
  12. SFNE was supposed to have a preview day for season pass holders "from opening until closing" on their Joker but I noticed the Facebook invite was updated to say it wouldn't be opening until the afternoon instead now. I decided to hold off and go tomorrow if everything goes well today.
  13. Wow Thunderhead's line is already at 50 minutes according to the app. Has it been down a train the past few days or has it really just been that popular again?
  14. Very impressive model. As someone who plays with CAD quite a bit, I applaud you.
  15. ^ Thanks I will take that advice and make sure I get on everything else before Laff Trak. I've been to Hershey several times, so the must rides for me at the Intamins and Great Bear.
  16. ^ The seats look small but they're much more comfortable than the standard wave swingers. A lot of the wave swingers I've been on have a wicker-basket like seat. The Funtime Star Flyers have much better seats.
  17. T3 was shaky but because I wasn't having my head bashed I was able to enjoy it.
  18. ^^ I would never want to ride that log flume at night again. I didn't get a chance to ride it during the day so I got around to it after the sun went down. I was expecting a nice little splash like most flumes, but nope I got full on drenched from the drop and then Snoopy blew water all over me.
  19. I would be arriving at Hershey in the mid-afternoon based on my travel plan. I fully plan to wait for Laff Trak since it'll be a new coaster for me and just wanted to know about what to expect. I've had to wait almost an hour for the outdoor one at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk a few years back.
  20. Six Flags New England for the Joker season pass holder preview.
  21. This is why I would love for all SLCs to get the upgrades to the new restraints. I can ride without having to brace myself.
  22. ^ That one and the one at Coney Island are enjoyable coasters. I haven't found them rough at all. The one at Canada's Wonderland was noticeably rougher though.
  23. I've ridden it next to people that think its rough. It's bumpy in spots, but as a whole it's smooth to me.
  24. All I knew going into the ride was that the first drop was huge and through the mountain. That drop was amazing and the rest of the ride was smoother than most B&Ms. I'm really sad Arrow disappeared since they were heading in the right direction.
  25. Then Six Flags New England wouldn't be the only park with a GIB and a standard boomerang. Join the family!
