  1. Thanks for the update! I love how your trip updates not only cover the parks/roller coasters, but random cool places like the VR park and arcade. Dubai is a place I really need to visit someday. Maybe when we have a different president though...
  2. ^^ Last year I went on a Friday night when they had fireworks. The boardwalk was packed and you were walking shoulder to shoulder, but ride lines were very short and were no longer than 1 cycle waits for the flats and maybe 5 minutes for the coasters.
  3. If Grona Land can fit a B&M invert, SFOT has plenty of room for new rides by comparison.
  4. I went to each of these parks back in 2014 on Saturdays. I noticed the following on the crowds: SFDK- Superman got the worst wait of the roller coasters. If you go there first, you can get 3-4 rides on it without a wait. Kong has VR now, so if you did want to get a headache, that line could be very slow moving. Medusa's line got no longer than 20-30 minutes because of its capacity. The worst line by far in that park was for the river rapids, which I had to skip on both visits. Great America- Gold Striker easily gets the worst line in the park. If your pass gets you in the park early, I highly recommend marathoning it. That is what I did with my Great America season pass and I was able to get 7-8 rides on it in that hour of early entry. During normal park operating hours, the Saturday line for it was around an hour. Flight Deck had a short line early in the day, but got up to 30-45 minutes in the afternoon. Psycho Mouse and Grizzly have two very slow moving lines that can easily be in the 30-60 minute range.
  5. Wow that sounds absolutely amazing about Nitro. A few of SFNE's crews were noticeably better than in the past so maybe that's a focus chainwide this year?
  6. They've always had 2 trains, but they only run 1 at any given time.
  7. I was already a fan of the name before finding out it was related to logging so that's just gravy for me.
  8. Was that filmed yesterday? If so I'm bummed I missed it testing. I'd love to see it flip that much. It'd be far better than my experience on SFMM's Green Lantern. I'm hoping they can get this open before Memorial Day so I can sneak some rides before the park gets busier.
  9. Hershey always ran a great program on the Claw and it seemed popular. Hopefully it's just a full rehab.
  10. To continue with the Joker postings, here is SFNE's.
  11. Some great photos of the park! Interesting what you said on the GeForce restraints since those Intamin mega restraints are really comfortable when I've experienced them on Millennium Force and Ride of Steel since they actually rested on my lap. SFNE's restraints on Superman are uncomfortable since they rest right on the thighs.
  12. Great photos! Ferrari Land looks amazing but your review sums up my thoughts when I heard it announced that they needed more rides to make it a true day park. I can't wait to try Red Force in the fall. I'm excited to hear the drop gave great airtime since the ones on Ka and Top Thrill Dragster don't really.
  13. These vests were much better than Carolina Cobra or Wild Eagle. They had one position and stayed there. I didn't feel any pain on my collar bone which is my top issue with the vests on some other rides. I agree but the park can't be happy this has happened 2 straight weekends. The other thing the park could maybe look at is how they load the train. SFNE loads Flashback from back to front, which means that the front row is only occupied if they have a full train. I haven't seen any other park do that so not sure if the weight distribution could be having any impact.
  14. After two events so close I can't see the park keeping Flashback. I'm not sure if it would be relocated again considering how old it is. Awesome. Where do you enter it? I didn't see where but will guess the Flash Pass entrance like Pandemonium. I waited in the normal queue and then saw 4-5 people come up the FlashPass staircase as single riders.
  15. For the second straight weekend Flashback has valleyed with passengers. This time at the bottom of the second lift/halfway up the vertical loop.
  16. Crowds are very managable today. One surprise new addition that I love is that Batman now has a single rider line. The park has really hit a home run this year in terms of general park improvements.
  17. I'm planning on stopping in for a few hours tomorrow since I'll be in the area. I'm hoping they won't be mobbed. Despite the nice weather, I'm hopeful since a lot of my coworkers were shocked to find out Six Flags was already open.
  18. If the concern with wooden coasters is roughness, Phoenix is glass smooth despite its age. He may want to skip Twister if he doesn't like most wooden coasters. Flying Turns is smoother than steel bobsled coasters. Six Flags New England has the two amazing headliners. Not sure if it's an option, but the crowds really die out there in the evening if you can modify your plans. If you try and beat the crowds there, know that Superman and/or Wicked Cyclone probably won't open exactly with the park and they'll still be testing.
  19. Yes it is an Arrow train. I've found the boomerangs with the Arrow trains tend to be among the roughest.
  20. I agree, Joker's Jinx is better than the impulse coasters. Maybe this will force them to go back to the full power launch since the other models don't seem to have this issue.
  21. That looks like a really cool ride! Not sure if I'll ever ride it at Slagharen, but would love to see something like it in the States. It seems like everyone is copying the forwards-backwards-forwards launch that Premier came up with for the SkyRocket II now.
  22. Yeah that seems really odd that the tallest point isn't immediately following the launch.
