  1. Dollywood. I'm hoping to get on Lightning Rod at least once in the week I'm down in Tennessee.
  2. So that means everything is a 5 minute wait instead of a walk-on then? Even on weekends, all the crowds seem to flock to the water park leaving the rides walk-ons.
  3. I got extremely lucky on Sunday after the bad weather held off as both the water coasters were walk-ons. Of the two, I preferred Wildebeast. I found the air-time and drops better. I also didn't come off shivering like I did on Mammoth.
  4. The right side of Monstre was better if I remember correctly since there was a really small hill that gave a major pop of air. Other than that, both coasters pretty much just meander around. That coaster's line is especially annoying since they could do what they did in my last visit and run just one train on one track and two on the other. The Flash Pass sent me into the one train side and still left me with a half hour wait.
  5. I absolutely hated the look of the tower in the first rendering but now that I see the actual tower, it looks really good. I'm looking forward to trying this version someday.
  6. Mile High Falls is actually a pretty good shoot the chute ride as far as they go because of the added height; however, it can't complete with a good log flume.
  7. They should build dueling Super Loops since the last dueling coaster the park built didn't quite work out too well.
  8. Tower of Terror does it. However, you aren't nearly as exposed as you are in that vehicle.
  9. If you head to Raging River right when it opens (I remember it opening an hour after the rest of the park), you could probably get a few rides without any wait. I agree the Bobsled has the worst wait and would be my recommendation.
  10. Getting into the park was a hellish 2 hour experience, but I actually enjoyed my visit once I got in. It's definitely one of the worst Six Flags parks, but Goliath is an excellent coaster if you love floater air time and Vampire is very intense like all the Batman clones, even more so if it's still running in reverse.
  11. Will they be able to run 2 trains on Wildcat with the renovation?
  12. ^ I found even the last few hills fine on Timbers. I honestly may have liked it more than the Voyage since it was more comfortable in all seats.
  13. Thanks for the trip report. I liked the gifs as a nice change-up. That's awesome Zenobio doesn't have a restriction on the number of rides. The fact that it includes that along with Slingshot (2 upcharges costing $10-20 anywhere else), it's a little more palatable now.
  14. I really enjoyed my visit. I could definitely see similarities to California's Great America, but the overall ride lineup thanks to the Six Flags additions made this a much better park. The park was really crowded so I got a Flash Pass to make sure I rode everything. I got on all the coasters except Joker, which was down for high winds. Seems like a great fit in the Windy City . All kidding aside, it does look great where it is and having ridden SFNE's, it's a really fun coaster. As for what I rode, Goliath and Raging Bull were both really good. Goliath was amazing but on the short side as everyone else has said. I really liked Raging Bull in the back as almost all the drops had air and the weird layout for a hyper was a fresh change of pace. X Flight was a solid wing coaster even if it is the weakest of them in my opinion. Viper was a letdown for me. It was smooth but I didn't get nearly as much air as I expected. I'll have a more in depth TR when I get home but those are the quick thoughts.
  15. ^ Sorry I have work. Most of my local park visits are on weekends since I save my PTO for parks further away. Enjoy though! I never rode the original GhostRider but the GCI retracked one was smooth as silk last year. Based on that, I think Wildcat could be quite good.
  16. I've only ridden Thunderbolt once, but myself and the two other enthusiasts I was with all enjoyed the ride. Only rough part was a shuffle atop the vertical loop. Maybe there are just some really bad trains on that ride?
  17. Unless a new ride is built, I hit: Yankee Cannonball at Canobie Wicked Cyclone at SFNE Boulder Dash at Lake Compounce
  18. I was looking purely from the rides standpoint but I agree Great Escape has more charm than Michigan's Adventure.
  19. I think the Raven is perfectly ridable as is but if GCI were to come in I'd think the finale and turnaround by the lake are the spots that need it most. I would have loved to see those Timberliners on Voyage but remember them stopping the tests. What was the reason again they were never used?
  20. Thanks! I got here a half hour before opening and still have a long wait to get in. The line was past the water park entrance.
  21. Now I'm disappointed I had to skip the flume last year due to time. It looked like a nice location for one.
  22. Does this Joker have a single rider line like New England's? I will be there later today!
  23. I agree GateKeeper is the best wing coaster. I think it's a push with Wild Eagle since the drop on that one is really good.
  24. Like others have mentioned, I loved the first half & twister sections. However, the return leg was a bit rattly if I wasn't in the very front. It's definitely a very unique coaster. Unfortunately I miss out on a night ride since the park closes at 7 today. Legend had insane laterals and more air than expected. Raven was a letdown in the air department (nothing after that big drop halfway through) but had much stronger laterals than expected. Thunderbird's graceful ride is a nice compliment to the 3 woodies and probably the worst major coaster there in my opinion. That launch had a lot more power than I expected though.
  25. I'll remember that for tomorrow. Any food item in particular I should get?
