  1. I'm curious. Was the Toronto Exhibit a separate thing with ticketing? Because if it was, this is a totally different setup, as any ticket price is included with your fair admission. And you just have the option of going through it, or not. And there WILL be long lineups, no doubt.
  2. If anybody wants to come to Vancouver for our annual fair, The Pacific National Exhibition (PNE), for a ride on our wonderful wooden Coaster, there is also a new Free Event (meaning, included with your admission to the fair) of several (hundred or so?) COSTUMES and PROPS and MEDIA in a one bldg. Exhibit, from the acclaimed series "Game Of Thrones"! Last two weeks of August.... http://www.pne.ca/thefair/exhibits-and-attractions/game-of-thrones-the-exhibition.html
  3. I thought about that too. But then I remembered, this has been built mainly for families with small children, who normally don't get this kind of high end coaster experience, like we do, only Bigger, Taller, Faster...etc. I think the adrenalin rush of just BEING ON this coaster would be enough 'stimulus' for these kids, judging by the laughter I heard on the video. And there is some scenery around this park, when you can catch a glimpse of it, from that Fancy Pants Car there! Then again... maybe they could Steampunk up the columns & supports that hold it all up, hmm?
  4. I totally agree, Fran. That is one of The Best Memories I have of Bakken. Their awesome buffet, there. And if the upcoming Tour doesn't have it as our lunch, I would gladly go to it later, and pay to eat there, again! Thanks for getting that shot, Jason! "We dine on many, many herrings..."
  5. Two things. Flic Flac in Tivoli was freekin' out of it's mind! The ride op kept us on it, and spinning FAST, for several minutes, almost ten it felt like. Will not ride it again. Tornado in Bakken was freekin' out of it's mind! The lift hill alone is worth riding it again and again. Can't wait! I wish we had one built and themed like this in our home park. Great Retro Tour Jason. It's getting me so happy and excited to going back there in a few weeks. Looking forward to more!
  6. Kissing butt has it's moments.
  7. No, I didn't skip it. I forgot it. Carry on.
  8. It would be wonderful if the Temple of Peril fix-up included retracking, The change to Raging Spirits was a-ma-zing! I had to run back, do the single rider line again, to check what I experienced was true - a really awesome SMOOTH ride! But I only remember it announced at the time, real rocks were replacing the faux rock work, as the crumbling temples, etc. Here's hoping it ends up like RS. We're coming back in late 2015!
  9. Xcelerator in KBF I'm sure this has gone around, several times, now.
  10. Shape Shifters Sam Roberts Band
  11. Update on Ratatouille with lots of great photos at.... http://disneyandmore.blogspot.com/2014/05/dlp-update-part-one-wds-ratatouille-ride.html These are three of my fave shots, from Disney & More's recent posting. This is looking toward the attraction entrance, with the restaurant to it's left; fountain is on the right, FastPass and covered overflow queue at the back. Looking down the 'entrance' to Remy's World. The new gift shop will be on the right, there. Looking in the plaza area. Fountain in front; Fastpass bldg.behind the fountain; Gift Shop to the right. Everything is really looking so nice! I love it when Disney spends a good amount for theming besides the main attraction. This one, and Mystic Manor before that in HKDL are proof of this. More More More, Please Disney! (o:
  12. Anyone for Pepto Bismal? The colour's about right.
  13. "Don't speak." "Bullets Over Broadway" by Woody Allen.
  14. ^ They're all under a spell, they are.
  15. Always loved these things. So intense and fun! And I wonder why there hasn't been an updated version of this classic flat ride. Or has there been one? Can't beat the insanity of a Zipper.
  16. When I had a all inclusive pass to our World's Fair in 1986, I ended up visiting the fairgrounds 56 times in all of my season's pass. And I would certainly be the same, if I had a DL pass as well. I would eat and buy there, too. It's all part of the Disney experience, isn't it?
  17. "Take A Walk On The Wild Side" written by Lou Reed. A tribute performance, with various artists.
  18. ^ You guys are the awesome exception to all of this!
  19. Should be interesting. It calls itself one of these "special" theme parks, which is less than actual rides, and more into ...education? Power to it.
  20. ^ Really? Retiring in six years? Ain't no such animal or reason, Michael! And I don't think you'll be able to let go of "it" so easily. Believe me, after 50 years old, you may get "the urge" again, lol.
  21. Blue Fall still rules, in Japan. Here it 'tis. A few hundred meters. Love it.
  22. ^ I've always loved the Broadway cast recording of this musical, but so far, no touring or local production has been done here in Vancouver.
  23. I do that too at my own home park, Playland. I just treat it as a planned visit, and eating food there and/or buying a souvenir, is just part of the day's visit. I know Playland is nothing compared to Disneyland, but still....
