  1. Blue Fall > Every Other Drop Tower In The World. Good TR, Rob. Keep it coming.
  2. Wow, this is so exciting. It's looks totally awesome! And to think, a TPR group of us will be riding it next weekend! Thank you for sharing the photos of your visit! And Daemonen still rides freeky to me in the best possible way!
  3. Does the coaster turn 100 on June 12th??? Wow, I wish I could be there for that, but that is my arrival day, and there are other plans for the evening. A steak dinner at the Tivoli Steakhouse, lol. For a number of us. And the group won't really be visiting the park until the weekend. But still... Yes! Most of us in the tour all know about this wonderful scenic railway's 100th Birthday, and the re-building they did, to re-create that mountain range in the original coaster! And we are ALL looking forward so much, to riding it, and for some of us, it will be a re-visit to one of everybody's favourite scenic railway coasters. Can't wait! The whole re-design of the coaster's facade looks awesome! (Artwork from Tivoli - and pardon for it's size.)
  4. "So, before he headed on, to Scandinavia..." Actually, I leave this Wednesday, to return to Northern Europe, and re-visit most of the parks, in the then 2009 TPR Scandi Tour. Very excited about this, but I just discovered there was at least one more mug or cup to share with you. And this one is certainly timely... Back in 2005, just as I was discovering Theme Park Review in it's (ahem) early days, a friend returned from a "Scandi tour" he had taken himself. Which included the all-important visit to Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen. At the time, the new ride was Daemonen, just one year old from it's opening the previous year. Now having ridden this B&M Floorless, I must say that this is The Tightest Circuit I have ever experienced on such a coaster! It was awesome and totally scary at the same time, LOL! But when he returned back home here, he gave me this cup he had bought and used at Tivoli, and saved it for me, because he knew I'd like it. And - I did! Like it! But who knew this would be a sort of premonition of any possible visit to Tivoli myself? And now I am about to make my second visit there, to Tivoli. And Daemonen again. Have a great summer, everybody! So here's Daemonen on a nice Big Sized beverage cup. Circa 2005. (o; Lots of writing on the back of it, but sadly (for myself) all in Danish. )o: Closer view of the front. This also made me think - maybe my friend got BEER in it, hmm? (o;
  5. Happy TONY AWARDS Day, everybody! (Go, Neil, Go!)
  6. ANY flat ride that has you lying down on your stomach with "everything" smashed into some diabolically designed "resting spot" (HA)...should be melted down and turned into more Mega Lites!
  7. Forget 2015. Want to go there now! But (not so) sadly, Scandi is in the way. I can wait. I think.
  8. But will it be a better ride with pot? Or be potted, when you ride? (Look it up.)
  9. ^ Damn, Parliament House still exists? Wow. Me and David stayed there in.... 1991 prior to a convention in Miami. And there was $5 shuttle service to the parks, back then! And you had to walk through a trailer park to get to a log cabin bar, a hot one back then. However - as we were on the ground floor, the curtains had to be kept fairly closed, or others "strolling around" could/would take that as an....uh...invitation ? The bar in PH rocked pretty good every night, too. Back then. Good times at Parliament House.
  10. Now where are those waiters when you need them?... Ah right, Munich.
  11. Darn I miss caterpillars. There was always one during our annual PNE here in Vancouver. But eventually, it stopped showing up. And it always sat beside an original Mad Mouse, lol. I think there was one in Mirabilandia, Italy. I saw it in actual operation, and the covering was a beautiful red velvet-like draped "curtain" that just enveloped the cars. But I didn't ride it. Now I wish I had.
  12. So ^ Like I said, heh heh...Last weekend, I was back at the park, and checking out this new little eating stall they had, called Cheese Please, which made grilled cheese sandwiches (duh). The basic one and 'specialties'. And of course, NO CRUSTS for the younger park goers. I ordered the more elaborate "GCBLT" which had pulled beef, lettuce & tomato, processed cheese, and flash fried pickles in it. I stuck with the standard white bread for it, although they do ofter a multi-grain bread as well. And an expensive bottle of water, lol. The sandwich was good, well cooked, easy to handle, and great with just a dip of ketchup on it from bite to bite. I barely tasted the pickles, so now I am curious as to what that's all about, and will order them as a side, next time. Nerd Shot #! of our Hellevator. Nerd Shot #2 of some of the "inner workings" of Hellevator. Now in behind those three primary coloured umbrellas (red, blue, and yellow) is a grilled cheese stall! On the Skywheel, with a nice view of the distant mountains. A shot of the red train, speeding down Coaster's first hill. AtmosFEAR in full 'swing', heh heh. You can't really miss it, with the park being so small, and that 'design' on the stall itself. Looking towards where that grilled cheese shop is... All nice and cheesed up! As I got it, with a small amt.of ketchup, and a bottle of water. Total = $11 Cdn Showing the inside of this cheesy creation. Lots of beef in there. ...And it was good! Although I felt there could have been more of those pickles in it for more taste. But I will order them as a side, next time I order from Cheese Please. View from where I was enjoying my sandwich. Random Playland themeing. And a few more swings of Crazy Beach Party, and it'll be gone after this season! To be replaced next season by an XXL, I believe. The menu. I had the GCBLT.
  13. Cool! I've been to 14 out of the Top 20 Global parks.
  14. Thanks for the nice thoughts and stuff, guys. Much appreciated. The photo may be a bit hard to find, as I have at least 20 photo albums to go through (!), but thankfully, they're all dated in the front, so that will help lots.
  15. Not sure if this is true, what I just heard on the radio, but..... Happy Hug-Your-Cat Day! (meow) (Makes me wonder when Hug-A-Dog Day is, too...)
  16. ^ Well, I hope it's not going to ruin your visit, if the track's not back. And it sounds like, from the video, it's scarier without it in that section.
  17. Yolo-Colo? That sounds like a stomach operation of some kind, lol! Or a new soda.
  18. ^Well compared to the original run of it, this is much closer to the end of the track than before, yes? No?
  19. I actually enjoyed that, better than with the "broken track"! Maybe they should just....lose that piece of track...somewhere.
  20. Disney & More has just posted some great Google aerial shots of the park, resort and surrounding area, in current construction. http://disneyandmore.blogspot.ca/2014/06/google-earth-release-new-shanghai.html Here's the general over view of the resort, itself.
  21. Well, here's a bunch of us in our/my local park, Playland (PNE) in Vancouver. This was taken, when we did a filming with Robb and Elissa for PR purposes. Yeah, here we all are. In front of The Corkscrew, Great shot, Robb.
  22. ^True, true., And I shall admit it... I AM A SFM NERD, too! Me and Marvin - Marvin and me. I hope he will be there at La Feria next spring. It's not SFM, mind. But an awesome part of the TPR Mexico Tour.
