"And now - a word or three about the photos I took on this tour..." This is now the fourth TPR Tour I have done, using my new (well not so new now) digital camera. And I must say, I really improved in a few days of starting to take the pix. So much so, I started to take more time in setting up shots, rather than just snapping away. And after getting back home here, I found that some photos taken were much too dark, to even figure out, myself. So I started playing with exposure, and ending up with a few interesting takes on a single pic, I hope you enjoy seeing. Here's an example below, and although it consists of three photos, the rest are (mainly) in twos, or solo. This is the load/unload station of Piraten, at Djurs Sommerland on the tour. Even I can't recognize who's in that waiting crowd. So.... I lightened it all up a bit. Now you can make some faces out. But I decided to push the exposure button a bit more, and... Instant Art! ^And then they announced what had happened, and we rolled back to the loading dock, LOL. Which I remember, was also cutting short your transfer time in Iceland. But you did make the connection, yes? Hey, the tour was already turning exciting...for better or worse. -
What a great park, and thanks for reporting on your visit! Lots of themeing in a lot of places I didn't expect it. It looked like the flats are bigger than the coasters there, LOL. I really enjoyed your tour, along with the great panorama shots, and videos. Well done!

Finally! After five years, me and TPR go back to revisit some of the amazing parks and places that are part of Scandinavia. With a stop in Iceland on the way there, and a sidetrip across waters to Germany and a fave park there. This was "like" a repeat of the 2009 tour. But of course, with so many different parts to it...like herrings, LOL! So first day, to the airport, a quick meal, calm my nerves, and away (+ a day) to Copenhagen! Where my TPR Tours all start. A basic #10 envelope. Eventually packed with bits of paper and info.I have found along the way, prior to the tour. Lunch, before boarding at YVR. And salads with meat would prove to be a type of meal I'd come back to, again and again, through the tour. And there's an AQUARIUM in the International Departures area of YVR! And there happened to be two divers in it, cleaning the glass and making sure all the fish were happy fish. So many people came by, just stopped, and watched. Then they took photos, heh. I wish I had an aquarium at home This Big! (o: My gate. Where the 7 hour stop is - Iceland! The plane awaits....

Raining today. Not so much a rant as a meh.

A shot I took from one of the ferries we rode, during the 2014 TPR Scandi Tour, just finished. Actual photo was very dark, so I played with it, with exposure, and this is what emerged... A far away look at....Liseberg, before we dock in Goteborg harbour.

My dad passed away, when I was just 33, so I share your pain. Please hold on to the good and wonderful memories you had with him. Those will never leave you, I'm sure. Big BearHUGS to you from us here in Vancouver. Bill & David

Done it twice before. We're over it. And we want a replacement attraction. Or next year's trip will be for naught. -

For my money.... HELIX queue music > Dondopna queue music (Fuji-Q) Period. Much more enjoyable to listen to. I also sat in different seats/rows on the train, for my four times or so I rode it in the evening. No problems with shaking or vibrations for me. -

^^ So when is TPR going back to Japan? This just adds more and more to how fantastic the entire resort is, even if only with Disney Sea alone. -
Solution for Line Jumpers
Nrthwnd replied to aCoasterStory's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was just on the TPR Scandi Tour. The worst offenders seemed to be at Tusenfryd, in Norway (sorry Tusenfryd). I told a couple of teenage girls "no" and motioned for the other three of the group to come back in the line to join the couple, etc.etc. Well, either they couldn't understand me, or they could understand me, and held their ground. Well, for this attraction, the group got separated, boo hoo. And a sweet teenage boy (sitting on line rails, not right, but overlooked...) agreed with me, said "Thank you, I can't stand line jumpers, too!" I almost followed with, "Well, why didn't you stop them yourself?..." ...but my ego just got stoked, heh heh. This was where "it" happened... In a silly dark ride attraction queue. -

I love it, from what I am seeing here. And I/we have already booked for a September, 2015 visit! So this damned thing better not be in maintenance, by the time we finally get there. -
So, before I forget... Happy Birthday USA! And what better way to celebrate, than to honor the Great American Musical Theater's contribution to the worlds of art and music. So, I have, so far, the entire 2013-2014 Broadway season in cds - all of musicals, and a few "plays with music." That's a new trend with show records, that "One Man, Two Guvnors," "End Of The Rainbow" and "War Horse" proved. So the collection enlarges... That said, apart from the first one (First Date) I have not listened to any other cd, since our living room speakers have been (ahem) "on the blink" since gawd knows when! So, while I was on the Scandi Tour, and my dear partner fixed it FINALLY, and now I can listen to these soundtracks as they were meant to be heard, and NOT on a computer! Stay tuned. The List will be finalized when a certain Best Actor in A Musical, and a Best Actress in A Play, get their cds over my way, soon enough. Here it all is, so far.

Solution for Line Jumpers

So how about this solution? Actually, people die, but that's a minor detail. (From the TPR 2014 SCANDI TOUR) -
^ Thanks for posting the video. ALICE is still one of my all-time fave dark rides, one that is certainly unique among dark rides, especially those catapillar ride vehicles. I still wonder why they didn't put a copy in at say, the UK pavilion at EPCOT. It would be a perfect fit, IMHO. Great ride, one of the best.

Home and happy, but missing Scandinavia already. Bitter sweet to be back home, I guess.
