  1. And riots are happening in Argentina. Geez they WON it. Isn't that enough to make everybody happy, instead of so destructive? Ah yes, it's all that "male" thing I read about. Testosterone and all....
  2. ...And I just have to thank TPR for allowing me to express myself, through my TRIP REPORTS... For Example, Lately: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=68418 And I am "almost" back from Bakken, ha ha!
  3. thank the gawds for SANGRIA!
  4. Dare I say it? Balder Now I don't really hate it, but still. I have (now) ridden wooden coasters around the world that I really enjoyed, honestly. More than B-a-l-d-e-r , okay? (No hate please) (EDIT to add examples I love: Troy in Toverland; Twister in Grona Lund; Dauling Dragons in China!) I would rather ride Kanonen a number of times, which I did during our ERT, than on Balder. Just me.
  5. OMG you're back!!!
  6. "The Sex is In The hell" KINKY BOOTS "That's the scientific view. But you know what I say...."

  10. it feels like such a slooooowwww dowwwwwwnnnn today with humidity and all
  11. Just a reminder to anybody, wondering when Gay Day at Playland (PNE)... IT'S THIS SATURDAY!!! Hope to see a lot of all of you out there. Cheers for Queers! (EDIT to add: Last year. they separated the Gay Day Area from Playland itself, so you didn't have to pay for a day ticket to the park, and just go see/do the Gay Day stuff. I have no idea what this year's will be, but last year's set up seemed to work well.) (EDIT-EDIT to add: I have the Season's Pass to Playland, so getting in is a no prob for myself. I would just be paying the asked donation for entry into The Gay Area.) Our amazing Bar Staff of the bar at Gay Day, last summer. They were awesome, and I hope some of them are there for us, again. 12. ^ Hmmm. Robb looks a little...uh....stressed?
  13. So long ago I posted, but I forgot to post the pix of the Broadway Cast LP Collection I have, still. So here it is!....... They're on two sides of the living room. And most of them are still in mint condition, other than the sides of the covers, which our cats have (through the years) mucked up. The whole collection ends with the Peter Allen - Harvey Fierstein LP 'bomb' LEGS DIAMOND. But a few of the songs from that dud, ended up in the Allen bio "The Boy From OZ"
  14. Just found this out from a friend... Happy National NUDE Day! Everybody.
  15. Twister and Helix were the two coasters i was so much looking forward to riding on this tour. Neither disappointed. And Twister was a total surprise with so many (literal) twists in the tracks, and then a part that I thought was "the end" of it. But it kept going on for a little while longer. Twister was awesome!
  16. ^ I agree, but I had teensy bit of an advantage, having ridden it before. Knowing about the llft hill helped. That first sudden turn, though, I immediately remembered, and then prepared for.... on my three other times, LOL!
  17. But it's the difference in atmousephere, or where you eat it, yes? No?
  18. Where is that tardis?
  19. ^ Fiction. Period.
  20. 06-14-14 ~ Official Tour Start Day ~ Bakken park So here we were, at one of the oldest parks in Europe, with had one of the oldest wooden coasters...in the world, I remember? And also one of The Most Intense Coasters I have ever ridden any where...Tornado. You either loved it or totally hated it. I loved it, as I was aware of the jerking twists and turns of it, not to mention that OMG lift hill that flings you into it's web of track. I would love to have a version of this at my home park. We had a lovely buffet meal at one of the main restaurants in the park, and then proceeded to enjoy everything Bakken had to offer. This included a lot of park and forest space where locals would bring picnics and blankets and just enjoy the day without even entering the park. Our schedule for the day. Entering Bakken park. We headed right for the wooden coaster for ERT. Everybody gathers inside the coaster. Looking up into the coaster's frame. Wow - Bakken is that old??? Congratulations! Hi everybody! This gentleman was one of the head coaster guys, and gave us a history of Bakken and the coaster. OMG SANTA! And Mrs.Claus TOO! Taken right beside Tornado. Caeser got in on the Claus Love, too. Um....wooden shoe? Right now this tells me God is Mad. However...... Another ride on Rutschebanen. Sadly without a brakeman on it, any more. They redid the trains which eliminated the brakeman. )o: Where we had our nice group lunch. (More to come...)
  21. ^^ Yes, they did.
  22. *** Near/After Midnight BONUS Photo!*** Or thereabouts, time lines depending. This little surgary tidbit uis being given to an old theatre friend of mine, from over 40 years ago, we've known each other. And she's now Directed AND Choreographed a repeat showing of last summer's hit - Legally Blonde - at one of my past alma maters - Theatre Under The Stars or TUTS (1969-Carousel/1970-MyFairLady/1971-HelloDolly!{with Val)/1972-Brigadoon 1975-FiddlerOnTheRoof/1977-WestSideStory as Riff). We're seeing the show this Wednesday. So PINK it is, in this treat I picked up in Tusenfryd, Norway! Along with a small bouquet of mini-carnations. Hope she likes it. It's what I couldn't get over - all this - SUGAR around me. More than I'd ever seen, even at Disney! And for the record - in 1974, here is Val and yours truly, in our 'duet' in the "Tea For Two" number, in a local production of No,No,Nanette. She was Nanette. I was lead dancer. We both turned professional from this production. And so it goes... And here's a colour shot, taken from a balcony. Sorry for the slight glare in middle. It happens.
  23. At any park, in any part of the world I visit, with TPR my absolute "must ride" (from time to time) is the old reliable Merry-Go-Round - Carousel They are usually nice and breezy and, I always enjoy riding in one of the usual "chariots" or non-horses they provide, along with all the steeds. It's a great way to slow down, even as I turn around. I also love this DOUBLE carousel, in the Arabian Coast part of Tokyo Disney Sea. All in mosaic and tile. A really exquisite ride.
  24. Had to fashion one of these from the recent TPR Scandi Tour last month. I mean, where else could I meet Santa AND Ms.Claus in June...but at BAKKEN Park, Denmark! And me between the two of them, I felt like their son! It was wierd, bizarre, and creepy all at once, lol! "The Family Shot" Me between them. This is between one of the Oldest Wooden Coasters in Europe, and this insane coaster known as TORNADO. So different... After I framed and downsized it. This avatar is subject to change, so I always post a separate pic. For the memory.... (o;
